Our guide was very informative about the history of Bogotá and Colombia and he was very flexible regarding the amount of time we spent at each location. We felt we got a really good overview of the city and country. A very interesting and enjoyable day!

Luis organized two days of sightseeing in Bogota. The price included all tickets and guide fees if Luis felt we needed anyone else and lots of snack stops along the way. We left the itinerary to Luis and our trust was amply repaid, he gave us not just a sightseeing trip but insights into Colombias past and present. To top it all off he had excellent restaurant recomendations.
A private tour- one on one with a guide and a comfortable car. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable- I enjoyed getting to know the real Bogotá! Plenty of food and snacks along the way!
Very nice and complete tour. They offer you an exclusive experience (small group, or solo as in my case), which is perfect because you have close contact with the guide, and then you can enjoy their explanations, adjust your experience at your will (of course with reasoning), and get a private tour. During the tour, they’re constantly asking for feedback about the activities, so be honest so that the staff can solve any issue related to the activity and provide you a great and flexible experience. They are very attentive: enjoy that. Dont have a breakfast before going to this tour! They will provide you exquisite and delicious fruits (it depends on your tastes, ok?!) and meat for the breakfast, with typical colombian food (included in the tour). Remember: Colombian dishes are large, so prepare to eat a lot. I consider this tour very complete and dynamic, since we eat a lot of colombian (and good) food, go to famous places (Botero and Oro Museums, Monserrate (with fast pass!! really important info), la candelaria neighborhood), and nice places such as local markets, and places where you can buy some gifts and sculptures and drink colombian coffee (all included in the ticket). The transportation is nice and comfortable. The staff is punctual and organized. The staff knows a lot about the history and geopolitics of Bogota and Colombia in general, so they provide you with valuable information. I strongly recommend this activity, and enjoy!

Friendly, very knowledgeable, great historical guide for a true Bogata experience. Highly recommend this tour guide
We had a private tour with Felipe and Alejandro. Felipe is very knowledgeable about the city of Bogotá and you can feel his passion for it and its history. Due to an injury just before our trip to Colombia, we had to modify the tour and Felipe and Alejandro were very accommodating. We did not feel like we missed out on anything! We enjoyed tasting the food, meeting the people, exploring the neighborhoods, visiting the museums and sights, and learning about the rich culture and history of this diverse city and country. We highly recommend this tour. You will learn so much!

Luis was a terrific tour guide for our short trip to Bogota. We experienced much of the city (saving time through Luis’ knowledge of museum closures + fast passes); we ate wonderful food and had excellent conversations. We would not have had nearly the same experience if wandering on our own, and highly recommend Luis’ services especially if you want to orient yourself to the city and its history quickly. Thank you Luis for an awesome first day in Bogota!
Great day tour of Bogota - Luis is an excellent guide and his SUV was very clean and perhaps brand new. I had been to Bogota before and still got to experience and learn a number of new things - Luis' knowledge and passion for the country is off the charts! Highlight for us was the Farmers Market, where we got to try a bunch of food and fruits that are not grown in North America - plus the hustle and bustle would have been too chaotic navigating on our own. Overall, a very unique local experience!
My husband and I arrived to Bogota for a wedding late in the afternoon. By chance, this company had an opening for the next day for a full day tour of Bogota. What I enjoyed the most was how personalized everything. Very professional and detailed. Communication was perfect, and I love how much they love their city.
Luis Felipe was an outstanding tour guide during our visit to Bogota. He crafted an engaging and educational experience for our entire family, capturing the attention of both adults and kids alike. His knowledge of the city’s history and culture was impressive, and he had a knack for making the information accessible and entertaining for the children. Whether exploring local landmarks or sharing fun anecdotes, Luis Felipe ensured that everyone had a memorable and enjoyable time. His enthusiasm and dedication made our tour in Bogota truly exceptional. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!
I had a great day in Bogotá with Bogota driver. I took the 9 hours private tour and I’m so glad we did this. It was an amazing day. Luis was a great guide! He gave us so much information on Bogotá and we saw so much in just one day. We tasted amazing food. We also had a driver, Luis’s brother, so when we were done at one place the car always arrived just a few minutes later. I really recommend this tour if you want to see the most in not a lot of time. Thank you for the best day!!!
Best tour ever! Luis Felipe and Alejandro are so knowledgeable, professional and friendly that they made our stay in Bogota PERFECT! We traveled with my 2 young children and Luis Felipe made sure any needs were addressed. This is hands down the best tour we’ve had. Worth every penny!!!!
This was an amazing experience! Luis Felipe and his brother Alejandro were the perfect and very knowledgeable guide combination to provide a detailed and personalized tour of the diverse and authentic Bogota. We ended the day enjoying pure heaven colombian coffee and pleasant conversation about life.
We really enjoyed our full day tour of Bogota with Luis and his brother. Very well organized tour. All our needs and requests were taken into consideration and we had a wonderful day exploring the city. I strongly recommend Luis.
Tours Bogota was fantastic in the service and experience that they provided! The entire day was planned skillfully and the information that was shared throughout the day truly gave us a deeper appreciation for the culture of Bogota and Colombia as a whole. Highly recommend this experience and service for everyone wanting to experience Bogota and Colombia.
Luis Felipe and his brother Alejandro were fantastic. As someone who works in Ops, watching them plan the logistics to navigate Bogotá was awesome!! Everything was planned, timed well - we got to see so much all within ONE day! I will use their services again for future adventures. Highly highly recommend
What an amazing experience! I am extremely happy to have booked the tour. It was far and beyond my expectations and I would do it again and again because of how good the tour guide is!
We had one full day in Bogota and wanted to make the very most of our time there! Luis was the perfect guide to plan a day with us that Included highlights, authenticity, food and entertainment. Luis drove and guided us while his brother Alejandro took care of parking so we would maximize our time seeing things and not dealing with traffic and parking inconveniences. We really appreciated the tag teaming and were able to really maximize our hours on the sights and landmarks! We are a family with lots of questions as we love learning about the history, culture and present day political and social climate. Luis was always patient and genuine in answering our questions and sharing his knowledge. Even though we had only one full day, we felt like we were there for a few days due to the things we experienced and learned. A wonderful way to see Bogota! Highly recommend Luis!
We had 1 day in Bogota and wanted to see as much as possible. We had a lot of options but we are so happy we chose this company. The guide and driver were incredibly friendly, very knowledgeable and accommodating. They showed us the highlights as well as places you might not see on your own. They allowed us to customize the tour according to what we find interesting and what we enjoy all in comfort and at our preferred pace. We have taken a lot of tours in our travels but this was truly a treat. We would recommend this to anyone visiting Bogota!
If you're seeking a unique, comprehensive, and truly immersive experience in Bogotá, look no further than the Bogotá Driver Guide Service. Our fabulous guides, Felipe and Alejandro, were the perfect companions on our whirlwind tour of this vibrant city. From the bustling Plaza de Mercado de Paloquemao, bursting with a variety of avocados and exotic fruits, to the heights of Monserrate, our guides effortlessly wove us through the city's tapestry of experiences. Felipe’s knowledge of the city and its history was profound, making our explorations through the charming streets of La Candelaria all the more enriching as we took in the radiant collection at the Museo de Oro and the eclectic art at the Botero Museum. Felipe truly made the city come alive with his engaging storytelling and warm humor. The local gastronomic experiences were delightful, offering us a taste of authentic cheese arepa and mouthwatering chorizo. Our journey culminated in Bogotá's chic, affluent neighborhoods with a stop at Amor Perfecto. Here, Felipe introduced us to a coffee experience that was as much a feast for the eyes as it was for the taste buds. The service provided by Felipe and Alejandro was second to none, ensuring our comfort and enjoyment throughout the day. The inclusion of private transportation, museum admissions, and all food and coffee made for a seamless and worry-free experience. In summary, if you want to experience the heart and soul of Bogotá with guides who are as passionate about their city as they are knowledgeable, I cannot recommend Felipe, Alejandro, and the Bogotá Driver Guide Service highly enough. We left Bogotá with our hearts full of joy, our minds enriched, and a deep appreciation for the beauty and culture of this remarkable city.
Luis was an amazing tour guide. I am a solo female traveler and felt comfortable the entire time. I was only in Bogotá for 2 days and I felt I got to see all the highlights during the day tour. Luis even took me to a couple sites that I wanted to see that wasn’t on the itinerary. If you are considering booking do it you won’t be disappointed!
This tour was an excellent introduction to the city of Bogota and its history. My guide, Luis Felipe, is a native of the city and a fantastic host. His guided tour of the Gold Museum was a highlight of the day. Also not to be missed is the tropical fruit tasting at the fascinating public market. I highly recommend this tour to any first-time visitor to Bogota.
These guys were AMAZING! Absolutely the best way to take in all the great sites and flavors in one day. Efficient, knowledgeable, and able to accommodate any of our needs. Luis and Alejandro are great guides and really give you a full view of how great the city is. I can not recommend them enough !
EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS! What a great experience visiting Bogota with Luis and his brother Alejandro showing my friend and I around the city while we were in town for the Knotfest music festival. Very friendly and professional with a nice clean car for our 3 day tour. They showed us everything from the tourist sites to the local experience. The brothers have the logistics well planned as Alejandro would drive and drop us off so Luis could share the knowledge of Bogota and Columbia while we walked around, then Alejandro would pick us up when we were done. It eliminated issues of parking and we were able to experience more during our short visit. I highly encourage anyone needing anything from a ride to and from the airport, a concert, or 1/2 day or full day tours, to enjoy their professional friendly services. All the best to Luis and Alejandro and many thanks for a great time!
I was extremely pleased with the fact that I could personalized the experience to surprise my husband on our fourth weding anniversary. Our tour took care of all the extra arrengements for the special packages that gave the entire experience a unique flavor. Having lunch at the San Isidro restaurant in Monserrate was one of the highlights of the tour for my husband.
Returning to Colombia and remembering its history, our traditions and meeting again with our culture was very pleasant along side with our guide. We recommend everyone to live this beautiful experience
Luis and Alejandro run an incredible tour operation. We arrived in Bogotá early in the morning, and had booked a day tour the night before with a different company. Only 30 minutes prior to departure, we got a cancellation notice and scrambled to find a tour guide for the day. We were so lucky to find Bogotá driver guide. The brothers were accommodating, knowledgeable, efficient, and fun. With no notice, Luis made sure we had unforgettable day. And when the weather didn’t cooperate, they pivoted and took us to play tejo - which gave us an experience we would never have otherwise had! At the gold museum, having Luis to explain the history and cultural significance of the exhibits was invaluable. I feel like we got more out our trip to the museum than we would have otherwise had with a full day there on our own. We were also thoroughly impressed with Alejandro’s ability to safely, patiently, and quickly navigate the chaotic streets of the city. When we return we will absolutely book another tour with Luis and Alejandro.
I had many favorite parts of the tour like going to the market (where actual locals go not some snobby market where only the 1% go) to try local fruits and street food, tasting better avocados than where we live (which where we live is Hawaii), going to see the highlights of notable museums, seeing a view of the city from a building I’d never know to walk in to, taking the cable car up Monsarrate… literally EVERYTHING was a highlight. I read basically all of the previous reviews about this tour with Felipe and decided to book - we are glad we did! He felt like our local friend who knows so much about not just Colombia, but also these worldly facts. I honestly DO NOT think it would be possible to have seen what we had seen in this short amount of time we had in Bogota had it not been for this tour with Felipe. (We just had one free day in Bogota and decided to spend it with Felipe’s private tour.) Having a private tour guide like Felipe with a car is invaluable. He knows where to drive, where to park, knows where bathrooms are, even which part of the Monsarrate train to stand so we can be the first ones to enter!… and he is super patient with not just his clients/us, but also the traffic and crazy zig-zagging motorcycles. I would’ve LOST my mind if I were driving. He never once showed any frustration. Wow. I think you truly learn about someone when you see them in the driver’s seat (haha). After the full day tour with Felipe, my husband and I tried to tour Bogota by ourselves and only made it 15 minutes to only just turn around and called it a day… it was just more fun and informative with Felipe. We don’t speak Spanish, so having Felipe as our guide and fluent/local speaker made us feel comforted (haha)! Not only is Felipe kind but he has a sense of humor, very humble and easy to talk to just about life. My husband and I really think Felipe made our first time in Bogota really special because sure, we could go to the sites ourselves and eat by ourselves but to have Felipe’s perspective and commentary throughout was really special. Sorry for the long review but if you read this far… just book it. Felipe has a real passion for his homeland, his job and is truly a positive person… You’ll have fun and definitely will learn something on your tour!
Seeing the city through a life long resident’s eyes was great. This was my first visit and I wanted to see what he thought was important to understand the heritage and life here. I didn’t know the French influence! We had a great lunch if the local soup as well. I would hire him again to take me to the Salt Cathedral or anywhere I wanted to see in the area. Private car, entrance to museum and funicular. It was a great investment and a fabulous memory
I was recommended this service by a native Colombian. We had never been to Bogota before, so I didn't know much about the city and was looking for a good introduction. We arranged for airport transfer to the Chapinero neighboorhood as well as a full day city tour of Bogota for myself and my two travelmates. I was so impressed by Luis and his service. I received excellent communication about service offerings as well as planning prior to the events. Luis was on time on both occasions and was very professional. It was very easy to communicate with him and follow his instructions. I also appreciated being consulted about the activities and being asked for my opinion on what we wanted to do and what interested us the most. That flexibility and personalization is always valued. Our full-day tour was wonderful. It was so relaxing to have him navigate all of the stops and arrange for our activities and purchases throughout the day. Although he apologized for his English, we all found it quite good and thought he was exceptionally easy to understand. We especially liked hearing all of his personal comments and opinions and backstory about life in Colombia. It gave so much more character and color to our experience, being with a native Colombian. I would definitely recommend Luis and his services. When we return to Bogota, we will certainly use this company again.
It was just my wife and I on the tour with a driver and guide Luis Phillipe. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to some key sites in and around Bogota. Well organized tour company. Luis Phillipe was informative, flexible, and fun. Can't recommend this tour highly enough for someone who only has a couple of days in Bogota and wants to get a feel for the city.
Luis was a fabulous guide. We have been on many trips, with many guides. He was by far the best. He was engaging, knew so much about Columbia history, and was creative in the ways he chose to show us Bogota.
We loved this tour! Luis was friendly and entertaining! He gave us an excellent overview of Bogota's history and stories about its past and present. He also gave us a lot of great recommendations for other things to do, see and places to eat it. He clearly enjoys what he does and loves his city. Definitely book this tour!
We used this company for all of our trips in Colombia (Bogota and Cartagena) and can’t recommend them enough. In Bogota we used their private transfers to and from airport, premium full day city tour and the salt cathedral of Zipaquirá. All were amazing with great timely service from the drivers and the tour guide. Claudia impressed us w her cultural knowledge and sensibility. Will ask for her when we return to this beautiful city! We also asked to visit a non profit foundation and the company arranged for us to visit the Fundación Niños de los Andes; we left w full hearts after knowing if their amazing service w disadvantaged kids. Will be getting in touch w them in the future for sure. When in Colombia, ask for metropolitan tours.
Our family likes to do a private tour of the cities we visit and Luis was excellent. He was engaging, super knowledgeable about the history and shared a lot of very interesting personal stories which gave us a real insiders perspective. The full day tour itinerary was perfect, with a great overview of the major vistas, museums, main neighborhoods—and a great restaurant stop for lunch and a lovely coffee break. Luis speaks perfectly English but we had fun doing parts of the tour in Spanish as our college-age kids both speak Spanish pretty well. He was on time, was very aware of the pace we wanted to have and we had an amazing day. He is passionate about fútbol and cycling and is very proud of his heritage and his country. I would absolutely recommend Luis to give you a five star tour of Bogota!!
Tour was great. Luis helped me see all around Bogota and get a good glimpse of lifestyle and culture. He was very kind and also was able to recommend areas to see when I wasn't sure. I liked the tour because I was able to cover a lot of ground around Bogota in one day in the same car. Take this tour!
So first off, this was a last minute booking, booking Tuesday night for a Wednesday am tour...during a week of protests. No problem, Luis Felipe was on the case. This tour group, run by two brothers, is focused on making the complex city and history of Bogota accessible, even for a couple of gringos like us. We wanted to see a market, a couple of museums and la candelaria. Luis Felipe didn’t disappoint! Half day tour started at our hotel - he wasn’t just on time, he was early (a first on our trip) in a nice new Mazda and had an itinerary that was exactly what we wanted. At the palequomao market, we met LF’s friend a local vendor who introduced us to her friends all around the market - and some fruits I’ve never seen. From there we toured the whole market and had a tamale like no other. After that was a trip to la candelaria, which admittedly had a little higher tension with the planned protests of the day. No problem. We skirted the crowds and popped into the museo de oro, expertly guided by LF at a pace that was exactly between me (slow) and my better half (fast). After we checked out the area and the botero museum, again, with detailed commentary along the way. Luis Felipe is everything we liked about Columbia in one person - a knowledgeable historian with a respect for the past and a passionate patriot excited to see what his country can become. Polite as can be (he often says, as many Columbians do “in my opinion...which may be wrong...”) but also genuine and easy to connect with. He’s lived in the states (Boston) so he gets Americans (as much as one can). These guys know what Columbia, hospitality and service is all about - making people feel like friends. Book them now.
We decided for booking a tour because we only had one day in Bogota and wanted to see as much as we could! Luis showed as all the important spots and also helped us with buying a mobile phone card - language help :) We enjoyed our tour with a good lunch spot in the inner city centre :) also, we felt very safe as this were our concerns for bogota in the beginning! Thanks Luis for all your help and information back in April!
We spent two outstanding days touring Bogota and surrounding areas with Luis upon our arrival into Columbia. We worked with Luis to structure our tour to get a full overview of Bogota one day and a day trip to important sites on the second day. Luis communicated with us prior to arrival and everything went exactly as planned. He was on time and cars were clean and comfortable. Highlights were local fruit tasting at the locals market and the very memorable Salt Cathedral. Highly recommended.
Luis gave a great tour on all levels. While he provided a great deal of information on all of the locations that we visited, he also candidly answered questions about the Colombia of the past and the present. Our first stop was Monserrate, which afforded us a fantastic view of the city and also allowed us to learn about some of the things that are changing in Colombia. All of the museum tours were fantastic. The Gold museum allowed us o have insight into the indigenous people, as well as the history of the following empires. This included a great taste of coffee and a better understanding of the history. The Botero museum was magnificent, allowing time to look at some of the work of many great artists, as well as some of Botero's finest works. The walk around Plaza Bolivar and a look at the art within the cathedral was fantastic. Luis pointed out and explained many of the historical facts of the artifacts and explained the significance of how they cam to be there. We also shared an exceptional lunch of Ajiaco (a chicken, potato, and corn soup) that was delicious and filling. I don't want to drag on, but this is a worthwhile and amazing experience. It was door to door service to the hotel with a day of great insight into Bogota, Columbia, and the Colombian people. Thank you Luis for a tour that we will never forget!!!
My mum and I visited Bogota on August 3 and joined Luiz Felipe's tour to look around Bogota. In just one day he showed us many of Bogota's most important attractions and gave us an introduction of Bogota and Colombia. He was very caring and also attended to our special requests on the tour. He is also familiar with football and gave us some football advice on football in South America. Thank you, Luiz Felipe!
A very personal and personable introduction to Bogotá - thank you Luis Felipe for the entertaining and relaxed tour around your city. I chose the tour on the basis of the numerous 5-star ratings, and I have to say that I was not disappointed. Good pace and great flexibility, I will be recommending to anyone I know visiting Bogotá in the near future!
Luis and his brother are extraordinary and always at your disposal. His knowledge of Bogota and Colombia will allow you to discover the best places and learn the history and culture of this beautiful country. If you want to discover Bogota and mains places (Monserrate, the gold museum, the candelaria, the Bolivar square, the botanical garden I strongly advise you to contact Luis. You can also book transfers from or to the airport. The car is very comfortable, clean, and that is very appreciable. Well, we keep very good memories. Big thank you to Luis and Alejandro # viva Colombia Idris & Sarah See you guys.
This review is a long time coming, but even after one year I still remember Luis! He really made my trip!!! I travelled to Bogota in 2018, and hire Luis for one day. From the start, everything was perfect. Communication through email and texts were answered promptly and thoroughly. Services and prices were more than fair and clear, and in the end, Luis went above and beyond my expectations! The niceties and bonuses were endless. My flight came in late the night before our schedule day tour, and Luis went out of his way to pick me up and take me to my hotel. On the way, Luis gave me much needed water, and exposed me to some Colombian music, complete with explanations. This was at no extra charge! The following day, Luis was on time and ready to go. We toured around, and Luis was a wealth of information. I was travelling solo, and he would accompany me around the sites, teaching me about anything I wanted to know, without being intrusive. He offered to help take photos, and was helpful in advising places to eat, etc. And, though I took a little longer than I should have, Luis never rushed me – and when I was tried to hurry, Luis would make reassure me that he would stay as long as it took to finish my itinerary, even if we went over the agreed time! I was so happy with the day, that I asked him to come out for a second day, which he obliged. For my second day, I had a loose itinerary. Luis made suggestions where needed. And, since he knew I was keen on getting to know the culture, he added in stops to try specific foods, watch soccer, etc. I even got to meet his brother! Again, it was relaxed, fruitful, and an amazing. Throughout my visit, Luis and I had great conversations about the culture, soccer, and just about everything! Luis’ English is really great! I happen to come back to Bogota on a layover later in my trip, and needed to have my backpack repaired. Luis came to the rescue, picking up my pack from my hotel, and having it fixed and returned within the day. Luis became more of a friend than a guide/transport service. If you are looking for driver/guide, don’t hesitate on choosing Luis. You cannot go wrong!
From start to finish, this was an amazing tour to see the best of Bogota. We were picked up at our hotel by Luis Felipe, along with his brother/business partner. They had great suggestions for the day’s itinerary and we were happy to follow their expertise. Luis took us everywhere and had such a fascinating insight into the city, its history, and its present day popularity. They were so friendly and accommodating and we have nothing negative to say at all. So glad we got to experience this!
We had a wonderful day exploring Bogota with Luis. He was super flexible and made a few changes to accommodate our tastes, helped us find some special items we wanted to purchase and found us a great place to eat. He was very knowledgeable about the city, culture and sights and also very professional and kind.
We truly enjoyed our visit to Bogota. We originally booked an all-day tour of the city but when Luis Felipe arrived at our hotel, he informed us there would be a large peaceful student protest planned that day that would clog the downtown area and make travel difficult. Instead, he suggested an amended trip ... a visit to Monserrate to get an overview of the city and then a trip out to Zipaquirá. Though disappointed, we amended our plans and went with the flow and thoroughly enjoyed the things we saw. Luis Felipe clearly loves his country and knows a great deal about the culture, the people and the challenges facing Colombia. We enjoyed our time so much, we hired him to do an abbreviated tour of the things we originally wanted to see, the Gold Museum and La Candelaria, the next morning, then an airport transfer. The tour was informative and fascinating and Luis Felipe took care of all details, transportation, tickets, etc. Don't hesitate to book Bogota Driver Guide Service. You won't be disappointed.
From the outset communication with Luis Felipe was nothing less than first class! All the information prior to arriving in Bogota was invaluable. On arriving in Bogota the experience with Luis Felipe was second to none. He worked with my itinerary and around needing to have a few hours rest in a hotel prior to the tour starting. Luis Felipe's passion about his country is infectious and his knowledge is second to none. I was so impressed with the entire day in Bogota, I am planning my next trip back and will be certainly using Luis Felipe again! Worried about safety in Bogota, don't be! I felt 100% safe the entire time and actually Bogota could have been the capital of any western city across the global! At the end of the tour, Luis Felipe waited outside my hotel while I changed prior to taking me back to the airport to catch my flight back to London
