Giglio was great! We learned so much about Bogota and Columbia. He was so patient with us as I walk slow and was a wonderful guide! Saw everything we wanted to and more.

I had a fantastic private tour of the Candelaria District including stops at a local market, an emerald store and the Botero and Gold Museums. My guide, Martha Jamoco, spoke excellent English and shared a wealth of information about the history and culture of Colombia. Our driver, Gustavo, was always on time at our selected pick up locations and he picked me up and took me back to my hotel next to the airport. I highly recommend this tour!
Our guide Raul was fantastic. He taught us so much about the Colombian history and culture and made it fun for our kids too.
Raul was incredibly knowledgeable and personable . We enjoyed an incredible day ! Terrific walking tour, 2 museums , break for coffee and lunch and saw so much!!
I arrived to Bogota earlier that day, so it was nice not to lose the day, and was able to do this afternoon private tour. GIGO managed to squeeze in so many things for us to experience Bogota, even though it was raining.
We had a very short time in Bogota and this whistle-stop tour helped us feel like we got to experience the city. Our guide Martha was excellent and we really enjoyed the day with her.
Raul, the guide and Andres, the driver were superbe, on time, professionals, patient and driven to please. The experience was great, I recommend this team any time.
Our group ( 2 couples) had a layover in Bogotá for 7 hours and they arranged an interesting city tour, keeping all the mind that we had to be at the airport on time for our flight, They were really flexible as we didn’t know how long our time was going to be ( delay with plane, time at customs etc.). Our guide Gildardo ( who was a fantastic guide and convinced us to come back one day for a vacation in this beautiful country ) was waiting for us, he showed us as much as possible we could see in an couple of hours and had delicious arepas. Also, the communication with impulse travel was perfect ( options were given, quick reply, etc)
We took the City Tour early September and were blessed with a beautiful day. Our Tour guide Gigio picked us up from the hotel on time. Since it was a private tour we were flexible in choosing our schedule and decided to visit Monserrate first to avoid the big crowds which was a good decision. Waiting lines for the Funicolare and Gondola were still quite short. What a beautiful place with phantastic views over most of Bogota. Next we went to the old town (Candelaria) and started our tour at the Mercado Concordia with an exotic fruit and juice tasting before we went through the old cobblestone streets with shops and restaurants and houses with interesting murials to the Plaza Bolivar with the Cathedral, Supreme Court Building, City Hall and Parliament. We decided to skip the Botero Museum but visited Museo de Oro. Gigio was full of information and answered all our questions. His English was perfect and he made the tour very informative and entertaining. After a safe trip back he dropped us off at our hotel. We highly recommend this tour and Gigio for a great and informative day in Bogota.
There are so many museums near by it. When you go to gold museum. You could plan the time for all the museums near by , check the timing for the museums. Some of them are closed for certain days. It is full of historical gold pieces in the museum. You could learn a lot of history from it.
John was a wonderful guide. He gave is a first hand experience of Bogota and was so accommodating. He extended the tour so we could enjoy a traditional Ajiaco lunch!
Our guide was very knowledgeable, well mannered and educated. Also very considerate and respectful. Recommend him highly
Great experience, Carolina our tour guide was excelent and also Andres our driver was amazing!!!! I would recommend it
Martha Jamoco and her driver gave us an amazing private tour of Monserrate, The Botero and Gold Museums, and many sites around the city of Bogota. The tour was on schedule, really informative and very friendly. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Bogota. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the best highlights of this amazing city!
If you go with Giraldo Arango, you will have a 10/10 time. We spent two days going over Bogota and I couldn’t recommend him more. Highlight of my trip!
Nice introduction to Bogota. Very knowledgeable tour guide and good driver. Marta was very personable and Andreas, the driver, was very skillful. I think this is a perfect tour when you have limited time in Bogota - or even just an introduction to get you comfortable with the city and its neighborhoods, culture and food.
Raul did a wonderful job in not only showing but patiently explaining the history, politics, arts, culture of La Candelaria, Monserrate, Museo del Oro, etc, in the latter half of the day tour. Special appreciation for Raul’s patience to answer our numerous questions as we were filling in the few gaps from our prior knowledge!
Our tour guide was excellent. "Gigio" was punctual, very courteous, and demonstrated a deep knowledge of his culture. He is very passionate and proud of his city, making us eager to come back. 100% recommended.
Our guide Gigio was super communicative and informed. I am a little out of shape and he was so thoughtful with how he paced everything. My teens were so curious about Colombian history we all learned a lot from him and were able to really appreciate what we were experiencing both at monserrate and the gold museum. We were lucky enough to have him as a guide for the salt cathedral earlier in our trip. He was amazing and really contributed to the quality of our trip!
My colleague and I had a great time! Our guide made such excellent use of the time and he was very knowledgeable. We recommend this tour, well worth the money!
We were lucky enough to be alone with the guide Mauricio. He was the first guide who actually spoke English considering our other bookings in Colombia. There was prompt communication from Impulse the tour company. We took many photos indeed. Mauricio took great care of us, pointed out all points of interest, a vast knowledge of the local flora and fauna and navigated us both through history and affordable shops and cafes.
Our guide was awesome. My adult daughter and I both felt that he gave us much more than expected. A fun, enlightening day.
At the Museum of Gold, we were pleased with the detailed explanations. We were also lucky enough to see the dance festival.
I was picked up by Emilio (the guide) and Carolina (the driver) at my hotel. They were punctual and very friendly. Emilio speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable in explaining about the places that we visited. He brought me to the important spots in Colombia, and helped to be my translator and cameraman 😊 We even tried Colombian Coffee and went souvenir-shopping before sending me back to the hotel. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe and welcomed. I highly recommend Emilio and Carolina!
If we could give this 6 stars, we would. An EXCELLENT tour. At first we were a bit worried because it seems like a lot of things to do in a short amount of time, however I can say that we did not feel rushed at all and was able to see and learn so much! Our tour started promptly on time with a pick-up from our hotel with an English speaking tour-guide, Daniel R. Daniel was absolutely FANTASTIC- he was so knowledgeable, insightful, respectful and had a good cadence of giving us enough information but also allowing us to ask a million questions and take our time through the various places he showed us. To be honest, all the places were absolutely worth seeing but we would not have enjoyed them half as much without Daniel's instruction and offering fun and important historical facts. The tour was a mix of walking and riding in a car so we had some good breaks too. This tour provides everything you need in order to feel like you've seen and understand Bogota as well as Colombia's history- if you only do one tour when you visit, do this tour! And ask for Daniel as your guide!!
Jhovanny Was a amazing tour guide so much knowledge and very nice. Would recommend this tour and tour guide.
The tour was amazing. My partner and I don't speak any Spanish, so finding a tour option with an English speaking guide was very important for us. We had Naty as our guide and she was great! She picked us up from the hotel, showed us around Monserrate, and then took us to Bolivar Square and La Candelaria. The tour included and fruit and coffee tasting. Naty provided us with lots of interesting facts about the city and sites, and even helped us translate and haggle with some market vendors. We had such a good time, that we booked the Salt Cathedral tour two days later and requested Naty as our guide. That tour was also a great and very unique experience. We really liked how this tour company picked us and dropped us off at our hotel, so that we didn't have to struggle with arranging transportation while not being able to speak the language. We also booked the Tranquila Beach Island tour in Cartagena with Grand Colombia tours. That tour was great as well. It included snorkeling, an aquarium visit, and time on the island beach. My one recommendation is to bring water for all of these tours, as they are very eventful and active.
Monserrate was lovely and walking through LA Candeleria was ok. No info from guide on the way to Monserrate unless we asked questions about where we were and what we were seeing. Gold Museum fo us was a waste of time. Once you have seen the first little bit it just repeats, but then we are not museum people. Being taken to an Emerald shop and a souvenir shop selling coffee, and again expected to buy was awkward to say the least. No wall art/graffiti seen at all. Overall 5 hours could have been 2 or 3 and the rest skipped. Felt like the whole tour was on slow motion to take up the allotted time.
We had our tour with Vivian and a driver. There were eight of us. Vivian was outstanding. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, sweet and very passionate about the city and her country. Our weather was not fantastic so she reversed our tour by doing the gold museum first and then Montserrat it turned out to be the perfect choice. We are going back again next January and plan on using the company to do a tour outside of Bogota. I would highly recommend this company as it came highly recommended to me by a repeat traveler in Columbia with family there
Very good, i learned so much! Our guide was very knowledgeable and took his tim to explain everything. Everything was well organized.
What a great tour! Viviana was just AWESOME! She was super knowledgeable and friendly and it was fun to hang out with her. We just LOVED her explanations at the Gold Museum - frankly I would've not learned much but she did a great job in explaining! Even Monserrate was great. Definitely recommend and Jorje was super friendly and drove very well!
great trip!! everything was really very good and our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and kind.. to recommend without hesitation
La mejor parte fue el conocimiento y pasión de Juanita, nuestra guía. She was an excellent guide. We highly recommend you ask for Juanita she is Knowledgeable, passionate and friendly. The driver was great, too. We loved every part of the tour. The teleférico to Monserrate, La Candelaria, Museo de ORO y el Museo de Otero.
I was solo on this tour, so its safe to say I got the maximum attention and priority for my needs. John Rodriguez was my tour guide and he was not only fluent in English, but very knowledgeable too! He gave me multiple options and I was able to make sure I got to see whatever I wanted to see and MORE. Highly recommend this tour!
We had an amazing tour with Doriel which I couldn’t recommend enough. My family & I all had a wonderful time learning about the city. Doriel was very knowledgeable, professional and answered all our questions to our full satisfaction and more. Traffic in Bogotá is usually very busy but Doriel took the time to show and explain different things about the city, which we really enjoyed. We had ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience!
This was a private tour with a driver and tour guide. Very Knowledgeable and accommodating. It was great. We visited Monserrate, the Museum of Goldf and Botero. We also tasted local Ajiaco and Bandeja Paisa. It was long enough (3 1/2 hrs) to enjoy the 3 visits. Jhovanny was very thorough and tried to please us in every wish. Highly recommend.
This was a great way to get a very good tour of the city, the different neighborhoods, and experience the history and culture. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and showed genuine interest in giving us a good experience.
Great tour. Really enjoyed seeing so much of the essentials in the short time that we had (we were on a short layover). Were are very happy that we chose this tour.
Our guide and driver were both amazing, very punctual, professional and friendly. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fluent in English, it was a great discovery tour! definitely will be asking Impulse again next time we are in Bogota
We had a wonderful time exploring Monserrate and La Candelaria with our phenomenal guide, Viviana, and our driver Jorge. We appreciated Viviana's perfect English and her knowledge and love for Bogotá. Couldn't ask for a better experience. (We did not go to the Gold Museum that day because it happened to.be closed, but went on our own two days later)
Everything was excellent. Highly recommended. The trip, the guide and driver, the food at Zipaquira, the exposition at Gold Museum...the road and weather (except the return to the capital because of heavy traffic). But both were extraordinary experiences.
Our tour guide, Martha, was lovely and experienced. I really enjoyed walking through the streets and learning about Candelaria area and the artist Bo. We were lucky enough to see the changing of the guard at the President's Palace and sunset on Monserrate. A great afternoon. Highly recommend!
This tour was fantastic. It was the perfect introduction to Bogotá and a great way to spend our first day there. We were able to get a good overview of the main historic district and enjoyed starting the day on Monserrate. We visited the Gold Museum and the Botero Museum. Our guide, Daniel, was so knowledgeable and gave us a very detailed tour of each museum.
This tour is so worthwhile for anyone wanting to get a taste of Bogotá. Monserrate was amazing - downtown Bogota was jam packed with things to see - and I learned so much about the culture and history of Colombia at the gold museums which was also a stunning experience. Marcela was such a great tour guide. So Knowledgeable, nothing was too much for her and she went out of her way to create a memorable experience. I would highly recommend her. The tour was such good value with all the tasters of traditional foods and drinks we had as well as entry into the museum and the train at Monserrate - thank you Marcella for this experience. I won’t forget it and I’m so glad I got to have this wonderful experience.
Great experience! Must do if in Bogota. Our guide Jhonvanny was very nice and informative. They were on time and friendly.
Our guide was amazing on the very personal two-person your. She steered us to the best locations at optimal times. Montserrat’s, the Museo de Oro, La Candelaria and other stops were amazing. It is pricey but includes all admissions and great guide!
Maria was fantastic and I would recommend the tour with her if you can arrange it-she made it fun! The driver and guide keep you from all the hassles with transit and they know just the right spots to take visitors. Four Stars!
This tour is worth every penny! If you don't mind walking, then this is the perfect tour to immerse you in the culture and history of Colombia. You get an all inclusive tour of Bogota over the course of 5 hours but the best part was our tour guide himself. Emilio was very knowledgeable about the history of Bogota and passionate about every single place he took us outlining the history. The art museum was delightful and it felt like he was an employee of the gallery. Furthermore, he was very personable taking us to local shops and sampling Colombian chicha (non-alcoholic). The Monserrate was a sight to behold and he made sure to take us at sunset! This city tour was the highlight of our trip and Emilio is hopefully paid very well because he is an asset to this company and an OUTSTANDING tour guide!
Great tour guide, knowledgeable and nice. Tour was great as well, from the Monserrate, museum, city and graffiti
The tour was wonderful and very accommodating for my elderly parents. Our tour guide Gabriela was knowledgeable and great all around. Definitely worth every peso!
