This was the best layover tour ever. I got to see so much and Luis was an excellent guide. I even got to practice my Spanish! :) As a female solo traveler, I am always anxious at the start of tours, but I felt beyond safe the entire time and Luis was incredibly kind and informative. He is intelligent, thoughtful, knowledgable, kind, excellent to work with, and we are so lucky to have found him on a day he was free! I contacted him on Monday morning when we finally received our flight information for our one-day layover in Bogota. He got back to me immediately and we scheduled a Layover Tour for my family of four, with two kids ages 8 and 10. Then our flight into Bogota was delayed multiple times. Luis Felipe was gracious, accommodating, and helpful. When we finally arrived in Bogota, Luis Felipe was waiting with his impeccably clean and comfortable SUV to chauffeur us around the city. He worked with us to arrange the reduced time we had into a schedule that gave us the best experience of Bogota that we could have. But here's the best part: Luis Felipe doesn't just show you cool places. He interprets them. He gives you context. He helps you understand the country of Colombia, its culture, and its history. He is funny and thoughtful and considerate. He is absolutely fantastic. His English is amazing. He used to be a mechanical engineer, and we are fortunate to have benefited from his choice to change careers. I would hire Luis Felipe again in a heartbeat.

We spent 5 hours of our 8-hour layover in Colombia with Luis Felipe and Alejandro. We had a great time, to say the least. Luis Felipe is very knowledgeable and provides excellent insight and conversation. You can tell he knows and loves his city and country. He took us to some excellent places based on our interests.

This tour was one of the Best we had! Felipe was great. He made our layover in Bogota unforgetful. Because of him we saw so many things in our short 6 hours long layover. He even waited for us in the airport very early in the morning. Hiš knowlage is very impressive and he took us to the Best breakfast we had in our 2 weeks long trip around central and south america. I had an extended layover in Bogota on a recent trip alone. As a solo female, I knew I didn't want to wait at the airport but also wanted to know that I (and my luggage) would be taken care of during a City Tour. I had nothing to worry about with Luis and his brother Alejandro. Luis was fast to respond to any email I sent and we changed to What's App once I arrived in Colombia. They met me at the airport Starbucks and we started the tour early. I was instantly at ease with their obvious experience and understanding of what I was looking for during a layover tour. Alejandro took my bags and we got into a very nice, clean car and were off. Luis was so knowledgable and was able to answer all my questions. Alejandro dropped us off at each site and stayed with the car eliminating the need for parking and to insure that my luggage was not left unattended. Luis gave me a personal tour through each site and museum and was able to really add a personal touch. The day ended having a chocolate tasting and then coffee and pastries on a patio with Luis just chatting. It was exactly was I was looking for. At no time did I feel rushed and I felt like a friend by the end of the tour. I highly recommend Luis and Alejandro and look forward to touring with them again.

The guide was excellent. He has a way of working out what you are interested in and then tailors the conversation accordingly. My husband and I are very interested in history and politics and we were catered for accordingly. From the beginning we were treated extremely politely and based on our need (my husband cannot walk very fast so this was taken into account). We learned so much and came away with a very different view of Columbia to what the history papers tell you!! At one point the tour was amended slightly to accommodate our preferences. Overall a 10 out of 10 experience and we would recommend this to anyone.

I had a great time on this layover tour. Luis was prompt and easy to find at the airport. His brother drove the car which helped tremendously because there was never any concern about wasting time finding parking, and Luis accompanied me to all the sights I wanted to see on my list. His English is great and my non-existent Spanish was not a problem. We made it back to the airport with plenty of time to spare. I highly recommend booking Luis and his tour for a great experience!

Great day exploring Bogotá during a layover. The whole process was seamless from the pick up at the airport to travelling around the city. Luis Felipe is a great guide and Alejandro was always right around the corner when we were ready to go. We learnt so much about this interesting city.

Very courteous and knowledgeable guide. Flexible with times and was able to pick me up very early from my flight and change the tour around starting early. I learned a lot about Bogotá and Columbia. Saw many places and the guide had a story about all of them. Brought me to wonderful food places and shared local cuisine. Perfect way to spend my layover.

Pickup and Drop-off from the airport were perfectly smooth and even though we were only in Bogota for a short time, we got to see and learn so much about this beautiful city! Highly recommended.

We had a memorable layover tour last April 2023 to Bogota, Columbia, thanks to Luis and Alejandro. Luis tirelessly answers my inquiries via whatsapp prior to our trip. They fetched us on time and started the trip with fruit tasting , ate Arepa then went to Usaquen neighborhood to take pictures of some graffitis followed by a visit to the Gold museum, Botero museum, Cathedral Old town candelaria, Bolivar square.Luis also treated us for late lunch and had coffee tasting after. Bought some souvenirs and coffee beans to bring back home. Unfortunately it rained so we didnt have a chance to see Mount Monserrate.Overall experience is excellent and very safe. Highly recommended.

Luis was absolutely amazing. This was a great way to see the city during a lay over and we wish we’d had more time with him. He offered a great deal of historical and cultural insight to all the sites we visited. We were able to get fast pass tickets for the tram and get into all the attractions we wanted to see. Incredible knowledge and service! Words cannot say enough about how amazing the services provided by Luis, and his brother Alejandro. Luis and Alejandro picked us up at the airport and drove us to Montserrate; Luis gave us an overview of Bogotá and an introduction to its culture. He took us up the mountain while Alejandro stayed with the car. He gave us an excellent overview of the city, some Indigenous and colonial history, and knew a ton about the economy and industry as well. They also made great suggestions before dropping us off at our hotel. Luis took us to the airport as well. The vehicles are spotless, service is extremely responsive and helpful - communication was excellent throughout. I highly recommend their services!!!

Great private tour with Luis and his brother being the driver in a very nice car! We got to see amazing views and historical places, however what I apprecierad the most was Luis knowledge of the history and his clear communication. It felt as it was a local very knowledgeable friend showing his favourite parts of the city. Extremely serviceminded!

This review is a late (trip was in March 2022) but the review was earned. My experience was incredible. Communication was great from my initial contact online to pick up at airport. I was able to see so many sights and taste so many delicious foods. Luis was very attentive and made sure I was doing and seeing what I wanted. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Luis and his brother were very professional and I always felt safe. I had so much fun with them that I wish I had another day to explore. I especially loved walking the streets, enjoying the food and culture, Mount Monserrate and having authentic Colombian coffee and empanadas at a very nice cafe. I am so happy I found Bogota Guide Driver Service and experienced the city on my layover instead of just the airport. If you are looking for a guide service around Bogota -look no further. Luis was an excellent guide! He did his best to tailor the tour to our family needs and was extremely kind to us. He got a baby and a toddler seats for our children so we can travel safely (and thanks to it they got some sleep!). The breakfast we had was delicious and, after short indications, he even managed to find the exact hamburger I tried 18 years ago. We will certainly contact Luis again next time we are in Bogota.

When booking a South America trip we had the choice of either 3 or 16 hours layover in Bogotá. We opted for the longer wait and set about finding a guided tour and plumped for this one... and what a great choice it was!! Soon afterwards I had a WhatsApp message from Luis confirming the trip asking us what we liked so he could plan an itinerary - perfect! The pick up on the day was so smooth; we met at International Arrivals and he took us effortlessly to his clean, modern air conditioned car (he’s even put bottled water in each of the doors for us, perfect). The sights, sounds, food of Bogota were all incredible; we have vowed to go back to Colombia to experience more! From start to finish our guide Luis Felipe Ramirez was the Bomb. Extremely knowledgeable about every part of our layover tour. He capitalized on our interests and minimized the others. Would recommend this guide and tour to everyone.

We only had a five-hour layover and contacted Luis, and he was able to put together a customized Bogota tour package for us that hit all our attractions. What made this tour special was Luis' roots in Bogota being able to talk about his home country's development and the outlook for everyday Colombians. He also arranged to pick us up at 6 am in the morning to accommodate our flight schedule and upon return to the airport he personally walked us up to the check-in counter to make sure we could navigate the busy airport to get onto the plane in time. Although our layover was short, Luis was able to plan so that we could experience as much as we could including tasting delicious local coffee and breakfast items at very good street shops. This was a stopover tour but we felt like it was a destination stop given all we were able to see. Thank you, Luis!

We landed very early in Bogota and had a full day there and we wanted to see the city. We got in touch with Luis after googling for day tours, and we were able to get a full day tour exactly the way we wanted. We went up to the Montserrate, saw different parts of the city, had local food, tried fruit at a market, the Gold Museum and so on. We saw a lot without a feeling of stress and our feeling was that Luis was flexible and let us change if we wanted. It was also very interesting to hear stories of how it was to grow up in Colombia and how it is to live in Bogota now. Luis was very knowledgeable about history, other countries and shared personal storys of his life. We had a great day!

Had a layover in Bogota and decided to take this tour. I had an amazing time. Bogota was a very nice city and I felt very safe. I would love to come back and visit. Taking this tour was a very good decision and I wish I had more time in the city.

We had a rediculous 20 hour layover from 3am until 11 pm and contacted this company becuase of their reviews. We originally booked the half day tour but after asking for suggestion Luis suggested we include the salt cathedral. We are so glad we did! Luis was knowledgable about the counties history both early and more recent. The transportation was not only clean but modern and Luis' English was fantastic. He was flexible and moved plans to fit more or less time in for different stops and while the whole day was fantastic, from the no hassle pick up at seven am to the drop of that included walking us to departures to make sure we didn't encounter any issues inside, one of my personal highlights was his suggested location of lunch at a popular market and the suggested dish as well. We had a 14 hour layover in Bogota, so we hired Luis to take around town. He was terrific. He showed up at the airport in a clean, late model Mazda. His English was excellent. He tailored the tour to the interests we had expressed when we set up the tour. He is very knowledgeable about current Bogota and its history. He made a reservation at Prudencia for lunch, at our request. When e got there on time, the restaurant told us there was an hour wait, despite our reservation. Luis took us to another place that had great local food and live music, to boot! We recommend him without hesitation!

We had to spend 10 h between the flights and thought it would be great seeing something in the city. We found Bogota driver service and Luis Felipe in Internet and they had really good reviews. He updated us at WhatsUp before arriving, picked us up at the airport with his car and informed us about the day and asked us about our expectations, cause he was flexibel about the program. He is a safe driver and took us around the city with great enthusiasm. He has a very good knowledge and a local perspective on Bogota and Colombia's history and culture. I think this one of our best spend days all over our vacation. We can only give all the best recommendations!

Luis Felipe was helpful and responsive when setting up this tour, it was a great choice for the 10-hour layover I had in Bogota! It was a very insightful tour, especially with the local perspective on Bogota and Colombia's history and culture. I was happy not to have to coordinate transportation for such a short time in a foreign city, definitely gave me some peace of mind (and being a car owned by him, it was safe to store belongings in the trunk like it would with a friend). The tour makes me want to return to Bogota to see more of the city!! I think Luis Felipe said my takeaway from Colombia best: "We might not have the best or the newest things, but it's the way we view it that makes the difference... we're proud of each other and we have to work together to solve our problems..." I booked a 6 hour layover tour from Bogota airport where I had a 10 hour stopover. This tour was absolutely amazing as my guide Luis Felipe was very flexible and I could adjust this city tour based on my interest. He had lots of information about Bogota’s sights and very good knowleadge about Colombias history and nowadays situation. I felt very safe even it was getting dark in the evening when we were walking in Candelaria. I was very satisfaid for this tour and recommend it all who have only short time to visit Bogota.
