Great hike, wear non slip dark color shoes . Jacqueline was amazing. Breakfast was good. Lunch was ok. Really good tour group
Had an absolutely amazing experience! The hike itself was stunning, apparently we got quite lucky with weather and were able to have a clear view of the falls for much of the journey. It wasn't too tough, and the altitude was less of a problem than expected. Absolutely beautiful!! Went with Lifred, and he was an absolutely amazing guide. He did an amazing job of telling us everything there was to know. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. He was even kind enough to stop on the way back so we could get a view of the Paramo! The food was also great, both breakfast and lunch, and again Lifred's recommendations came very much in handy. Overall an amazing experience that you can't miss!!
We had an absolutely amazing experience on the waterfall hike with Gabrielle and The True Colombian Experience! 🌿💦 From start to finish, everything was so well organized, fun, and authentic. Gabrielle was wonderful—knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable along the way. The waterfall hike was beautiful, and having breakfast, snacks, and lunch included made the experience even better. ☕🥐🍽️ It truly felt like we got to experience Colombia beyond the typical tourist spots. I highly recommend Gabrielle and The True Colombian Experience to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure, great food, beautiful scenery, and an authentic Colombian experience.
10/10. Beautiful Nature, well worth the money. Andrea was very easy to talk to and an amazing guide.
Great hike many laughs along the way , Gabriella is an excellent guide with lots of good info to share.
I had an amazing time on this tour and our guide Andrea was awesome! As a solo traveler this was a great way to see the sights and meet new people! The meet up location was easy, breakfast and lunch were included, and the hike was AMAZING! 10/10 recommend!
The hike to La Chorrera was an incredible experience and one of the highlights of my short time in Colombia. The drive from Bogotá was scenic, winding through beautiful mountain landscapes and countryside. The hike itself was even better, with stunning views throughout the trail and an impressive waterfall at the end. I was traveling solo, but there were three other solo travelers in the group, which made for a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, and it was great getting to share the experience with people from different places. One thing that really made the day special was the weather. We had some light rainfall on the drive and the first part of the hike, which brought in a layer of fog and mist that gave the mountains a dramatic, almost mystical atmosphere. By the time we reached the waterfall, the rain had passed and the sun came out, completely transforming the landscape. The views went from moody and mysterious to bright and vibrant in a matter of minutes. It felt like getting the best of both worlds in a single hike. Our guide, Natalia, was outstanding. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and always happy to answer questions about the area. She did a great job bringing the group together and made sure everyone felt included and comfortable throughout the day. It felt less like a guided tour and more like a hike with friends. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bogotá who wants to experience the natural beauty of Colombia. Between the scenery, the changing weather, the great company, and Natalia's excellent guidance, it was a memorable day from start to finish.
The hike to La Chorrera was incredible! The drive out from Bogota was very picturesque. The hike itself was just as amazing with stunning views all around, we couldn’t get enough. Our tour guide Lorena was phenomenal, she knew everything about the area, always had answers to our questions, and made sure we felt like we belonged. The entire time it felt like we were on a hike with friends. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see the natural beauty of Colombia.
We had a wonderful experience on this tour. Gabriela was an excellent guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive throughout the entire experience. She made everything feel easy and enjoyable, and her energy really added to the tour. We learned a lot and had such a memorable time together. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you get Gabriela as your guide.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience on this tour.
Andrea was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and took us at a nice pace! The trip was strenuous at times but so worth it! Bonus- the food was wonderful!
This is not for the weak... but we had a super gide Andrea. She helped me allot... she was soooo kind. The walk is though but the view is breath taking. Its worth it. Andrea and the tour group I got was aweeesomeeee.
I did this tour in April 2026 and it was a great way to spend a day getting out of Bogota city for a bit. The nature was beautiful and the hike wasn’t too challenging. Guide Juan made the experience extra special, providing lots of interesting information along the way and making sure everyone was in great spirits! He was very helpful with finding vegan alternatives for me at lunch and it was a great day.
One of the BEST days of our life! Juan was an incredible guide and we loved every second of it!!!
Wonderful wander, lovely food, good guide. The path was fine for us as we are young and fit, I think anyone with mobility issues would struggle.
The hike to La Chorrera was such a great experience. The views along the way are absolutely beautiful, and while some parts of the trail are a bit challenging, it’s completely manageable and 100% worth it in the end. Reaching the waterfall is really special, it’s stunning and makes the whole hike feel even more rewarding. The food before and afterwards was also really nice, which was a perfect addition to the hike. A special mention to our guide, Andrea, who was amazing. She was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the hike. She kept a good pace for the group and was always checking in, which made the whole experience feel very smooth and enjoyable. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hike!
Wow what a wonderful informative and fun adventure day! Our tour guide Nick was so friendly and explained the culture and highlights of the country very well. He was funny and insightful, giving us plenty of time for questions and soaking in the experience. It was just my husband and I and one other couple so the day was personalized and well timed. We took several breaks on the hike and there was a plentiful amount of food and drinks available on the trail. Highly recommend! Amazing waterfalls!
It was a really beautiful hike with a great guide! (Thanks Nick!) We had a delicious breakfast in Bogota with lots of options of Colombian cuisine at a cozy cafeteria patio. We took a bus from there to La Chorrera park and hiked to the falls from there. It was a really quiet and peaceful hike in the mountains with a small group, at a steady pace but with lots of breaks along the way. The hike wasn't too challenging and the view of the falls was absolutely beautiful. Afterwards we walked back and had to the start of the park and had another tasty meal, then took a bus back to Bogota. All travel and food was included in the price. It was a great time; I would certainly recommend it!
We had an incredible experience on our La Chorrera waterfall tour—easily the highlight of our trip to Colombia. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Andrea, was absolutely fantastic. You could truly feel her passion for nature and Colombian culture in everything she shared with us. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience feel personal and engaging. One of the things we loved most was the small group size—there were only three of us total, which made the tour feel intimate and relaxed. The hike itself was definitely challenging at times, but completely worth it. It took about three hours from start to finish, including stops for photos and breaks, and every step offered something beautiful to take in. Even though it rained during our hike, it didn’t take away from the experience at all—in fact, it added to the atmosphere and made the scenery even more magical. The views were absolutely stunning throughout. We also really enjoyed the local cuisine provided for breakfast and lunch—it was fresh, delicious, and a great way to experience authentic Colombian flavors. Overall, this tour was unforgettable. We would 100% recommend it to anyone considering visiting La Chorrera waterfalls. It’s a must-do experience!
the tour was absolutely incredible. the waterfalls are beautiful and the foot is absolutely amazing. some of the best food on my trip. also, lorena is an amazing guide.
A wonderful experience! Elizabeth and Henry were excellent and we had a great time.
Certainly one of the best tours I've ever had. If you're in Bogota, don't miss out. Lorena was our guide and from the first moment we knew she loves her job and her country. Huge passion for the nature completed the wonderful guided explanation of what we were able to see. Fantastic treatment and atmosphere completed the picture. And of course, the waterfall is spectacular!
Lorena is very knowledgable about Colombian history, customs, and biodiveristy and cares deeply for the natural life around La Chorrera. She was very patient with answering questions and allowed us to take the hike at our own pace. Overall an excellent experience made smooth by the guide and good vibes! This is an experience you don’t want to miss - the hike is absolutely gorgeous, food is excellent, and the surrounding community is kind and welcoming. Plus a neighborhood dog joined us for the entire hike. Can’t miss this experience!!
The trip to the waterfalls was absolutely amazing! Not only is the place itself breathtaking, but our guide, Nick, made the experience truly special. He shared a wealth of interesting information in a relaxed and engaging way, never overwhelming us. His great sense of humor and excellent English made the whole trip lively and memorable. The lunch at the base of the waterfall was incredibly delicious and such a wonderful touch to the day. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting — it was truly unforgettable! Thank you again to Nick, he is the best!!!
Amazing tour. Our tour guide was fluent in English and very knowledgeable and helpful. The driver was also excelente. The tour is a beautiful tour or the largest waterfall in Colombia. The hike was demanding but enjoyable. In the middle of nature and looking for a wonderful natural experience. Lunch was perfectly planned after long hike. Strongly recommend it.
Be absolutely prepared to hike 10 miles or more on inclined terrain. The tour guide was excellent. The view was amazing. Once in a life time experience.
Lorenzo was our guide on a fabulous experience. Breakfast and lunch were delicious and the hike was amazing. Lorenzo even gave me something for my altitude sickness and was so very knowledgeable and super kind. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing experience with Lorenzo, who was a very engaging and knowledgeable guide. He tailored the tour to our interests, offered a playlist of different types of Colombian music in the car, and provided a number of other local recommendations. The waterfall itself is stunning, and while the hike isn't particularly difficult its worth the trip. The breakfast and lunch were nice additions although certainly not the best I've had in Colombia.
We were 68 and 82 years of age living at sea level. We would rate the hike as a 3.8 with technical difficulty because of the rocks on the path. The 38 year olds rate the hike at. 2.5-3.0 max. With that being said the hike was fantastic. Great day outside of the city, beautiful vistas, fresh air and the waterfall was worth the hike. Our guide Nick was informative and a leader. Breakfast was at a local restaurant in Bogota and lunch was at the entrance to the waterfall. If you want to get out of the city for the day, you must go on this hike.
Great tour. Everything as described. Suggest taking good shoes as trail has some wet areas as well as rocky and uneven terrain.
Lorena was an incredible guide on this amazing experience. She was so knowledgeable and showed a clear love for nature and Bogota! The breakfast was HUGE and the lunch was delicious. The hike was moderate but beyond worth it. The views were spectacular and the waterfalls were the cherry on top. 11/10 experience. Book this now!
Check out details about the trail on AllTrails- it is a challenging hike because you are at a high altitude and the path is natural. Wear sturdy and waterproof sneakers or boots and poles would be a good idea - it was wet and slippery when we went. Make sure to acclimatize before, otherwise it will be much more difficult if you are not in shape. I do not recommend for anyone with limited mobility. The landscape is beautiful and the hike is not too long, so the challenge is worth it!
Lorena was an informative tour guide and we learned a lot about the biodiversity in Colombia. The tour was seamless from the time we arrived until we were dropped off. The local breakfast was delicious and the views throughout the hike were beautiful.
Fantastic tour. Excellent communication when I accidentally made duplicate bookings they were very helpful getting the refund, friendly and helpful guides, comfortable transportation.
Fair price for a great experience into Colombia’s natural high elevation ecosystem. Lorenzo was well informed, attentive to everyone’s needs, and made the trip that much more of an enjoyable experience.
It was absolutely phenomenal! Medium level hike with stunning views that made you lose the perception of time. Listen and obtain all the info you can from the guide cause it attaches well with the hike. I would 100% recommend this
Jacqui was an excellent guide! She made sure our experience is smooth, entertaining and friendly! She is very knowledgeable about the biological environment as well as the historic aspect of La Chorrera area. Thanks again Jacqui! You’re amazing!!
A wonderful experience. The waterfall is only the beginning. This is a beautiful park with amazing views vistas and only an hour from the city. Nuestro guia Nick era un parce muy amable. Not a long hike but it can be challenging due to the altitude if you are not acclimatized.
We had the best time on our tour of La Chorrera!!! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the waterfalls and the significance they hold for indigenous communities. Everything ran super smoothly, we couldn't have asked for a better day! This is a great hike to do on a rainy day as there are fewer people on the trail and the waterfalls look simply magical!! The food was also amazing. Great value for money, and I'd recommend this tour to everyone visiting Bogota. <3 :-)
This is a great way to get outside of the city for a day. Lorenzo was our guide and he was very interesting to listen to regarding nature, Colombia and everything else. The waterfalls and mountain views were amazing. Be sure to have a good pair of hiking boots. You will need them.
It was amazing, perfect picture opprtunities , wonderful tour guide who explained everything to us and informed us of the culture. Nick was an awesome tour guide and helped everyone along the path.
Great hike with some amazing scenery. Our guide, Niko, was extremely friendly and helpful. And two French bulldogs from did the hike with us for an added treat. Highly recommend. The altitude could be a factor though. 🙃
I booked this day tour to see some great nature not far from Bogota - and wasn’t disappointed!! The day is well organized and paced starting from a typical breakfast in Bogota, through a comfortable and safe car ride in scenic Andes, culminating with the wonderful hike to the falls where you get to see prairies and cattle before immersing in the gorgeous tropical rainforest. The falls are impressive from afar and nearby. I measured 9 km in total. Technically doable for most people, there’s only some taller steps and risk of mud if rainy. Our guide Yuly was well organized, competent and fun! I totally recommend.
Amazing tour!! I highly recommend it if you have a free day. The waterfall is beautiful and the hike is stunning the whole way up and down. The delicious breakfast and lunch is an added bonus.
Beautiful hike in the forest and stunning valley views even on a misty raining day the waterfall is stunning to see and so worth it. Hike path is medium and food is fresh local cuisine. Massive thanks to Lorenzo our tour guide, very knowledgeable, great pace with hike and friendly ..thanks for making out wet day amazing that the weather didnt even bother us as the waterfall and guide made up for it ,leaving a big smile and positive overall day !!
Yuli was a wonderful guide for our day trip to La Chorrera. She has a vibrant and fun personality and made sure we were all taken care of! The park is so beautiful - pictures do not serve it justice. It’s much more beautiful in person. I loved looking at the different types of vegetation that grows in the area, many of which is unique to the area. Yuli provided us with a lot of knowledge of the area. I learned so much and had such a great time. Gracias!
AMAZING!!! A 7km hike but the views are absolutely worth it. Lorena was so lovely and was very knowledgable about the area and its history.
It was a very pleasant hike. Ticked all boxes, enough to have some challenge but doable. Lorena was a great guide! 100% recommended!
Great hike with incredible views. It’s a tough one — bring hiking shoes! Our tour guide, Nat, was wonderful. I sustained a minor injury early in the hike (my own fault), and after the tour Nat took the time to accompany me to a health clinic. Afterwards and the next day, both Nat and the tour operator Fredy checked in with me to make sure I was doing okay. So, not only is the tour a great experience, but it’s led and organized by great people, too.
