Fantastic tour with a knowledgeable and friendly guide who is passionate about her subject
We had an amazing time with Lena. She was incredibly knowledgeable and so kind. We learned a lot and had so much fun with this experience!
Lina was very knowledgeable about coffee and chocolate , she was able to articulate and explain in great detail to our Questions and the overall experience was amazing!!!
Lina was very clear in her explanations, and provided additional information about the area and a (good) recommendation for something unrelated. She is passionate about coffee and engaged fully with the group.
Wonderful time learning about Colombian coffee and chocolate culture. There is something here for you whether you are a beginner to the coffee and chocolate world, or already experienced. Lina was an amazing and knowledgeable guide, and welcomed us warmly. Must book if you are a coffee, or chocolate lover!
Lina was our tour guide for these tastings and she has definitely done her research. She picks some amazing coffee to sample with a good range of flavours that excite your palette, and then you have to do the choclate after because the choclate selection is excellent. Really highlights Colombia's growth in choclate and coffee with amazing knowledge in both fields of the progress being made.
Our guide Lina, was very informative and a lot of fun to be with. The coffee was exceptional and it was interesting to learn the history behind it.
You will not only enjoy some great coffee and chocolate, but you will also learn quite a bit about coffee and also a little Colombian history. Highly recommend.
Lina was a fantastic guide – engaging description of different ways to harvest and dry local coffee beans, helpful tips on how to identify flavours, and thoughtful answers to my questions! Some of the chocolates also tasted totally different from any I’d tried before.
Wow, Lina's knowledge of coffee and Chocolate is fantastic. The time flew by during this tour. We wish we could have another 2 hours with Lina. She made the tour experience feel like spending time with a friend on a Saturday morning at a gourmet coffee shop cathcing up. We recommend her tour for anyone who thinks they know coffee or is trying to learn about coffee. BTW, my wife is not a coffee drinker, better said, she wasn't a coffee drinker until meeting Lina. Her recommendations on coffee beans for us to take home were the best. I wish I could carry back tons, not just a few pounds. Lina is charismatic and very detail-minded in her explanations. Thank you, Lina, and hope to see you in the future. Jon and Mary
Our group had a great time! Lina was very informative and engaging, and it was the perfect small ish group size. We learned a lot about where the coffee and chocolate is grown, the types and methods of preparation, and sampled a lot of both. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Bogota!
We met with Lina at the designated spot. She has a table reserved for us and walked us through the different coffees of Columbia and how they are roasted. She had a chart that explained in detail the different varieties, roasting methods and flavors. It was very similar to a wine tasting and was comprehensive in regards to the smells and tastes. Our second stop we learned about the different brewing methods and the taste differences. Both stops were very insightful. Our final stop was a chocolate tasting. Again, very detailed and informative. We learned so much about coffee and chocolate. She was friendly, insightful and her English was great. Highly recommend.
As part of this tour, visited 2 specialty coffee shops, tasting different types of coffee. I learnt about the history of coffee in Colombia and some basics of coffee tasting. I quickly learnt that my tasting and description skills leave a lot to be desired. We then walked to get to an artisanal chocolate factory. I learnt about the cacao tree, history of chocolate and tasted different types of chocolate made with cacao from different regions. The guide Lina was very knowledgeable and presented the info in a very fun way. I highly recommend this tour.

We booked this tour during a weekday and to our surprise we are the only 2 in this workshop. Lina greeted us with a big smile and she just gives such a welcoming vibe that we know this tour is gonna be great. Lina shared her knowledge on the history of coffee and chocolate with us and throughout the tour we get to experience the amazing coffee & chocolate tasting and appreciate each of the different notes. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to understand more about Colombian coffee and chocolate culture.
An absolute must for a Bogota visit. This tour is a sensual, gastronomic delight. Lina, our guide, did an absolutely outstanding job bringing us around Chapinero and explaining the regional context of all the varieties of coffee and chocolate sampled. Highly suggest this tour.
The guide made this experience fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and helpful, extremely communicative.
Great experience on the coffee/chocolate tour. We went as a couple and my husband doesn’t drink coffee but still learned a lot and enjoyed the experience. We talked a lot about how coffee is produced then taste tested coffee by roasting method and preparation method. It was really interesting! Overall the tour was professionally executed and well timed. A great morning activity if you have time in your trip!

We also were able to purchase some of our favorites from the cafes/shop to take home with us. Lina lead an amazing tour and I highly recommend this to any one visiting Bogota!
What a fantastic experience. We learned a great deal about how chocolate and coffee is produced. Great resources and presentation. The tour was about 2 hours long and we went to two cafes and one chocolate shop all within a walking distance of each other. During our walk, we learned a bit about bogota. We really enjoyed this tour and highly highly recommend it.
Lina’s coffee and chocolate tour was one of the highlights of my stay in Bogotá. The tour wasvery insightful and informative, but also ludique and full of heart.I discovered very nice and delightful places. Through Lina’s storytelling, I explored not only the rich traditions behind Colombian coffee and chocolate, but also their place in modern Bogotano life, with special attention on reshaping these industries with creativity and purpose. Highly recommended for anyone looking to dive deeper into Bogotá’s vibrant coffee and chocolate soul.
Great experience. Good coffee and chocolate shops that we went to and Lina was great at going through the process of coffee and chocolate making and tasting. Educational, fun, and enjoyable coffee/chocolate.
Lina was great, she was very personable and kind. She was also very knowledgeable about the subject. Definitely learned a lot.
Lina led us on a delicious Coffee/Chocolate tour through Bogota in the zona G, she was informative and wonderful, A+++, highly recommended!!!
Lina was extremely knowledgable about coffee and chocolate. She taught us how the different regions where the coffee and cocoa bean originate will vary the taste. Depending how you prepare your coffee will also change. The walk in the neighborhood was a great way to explore & Lina gave us a history lesson as well. We highly recommend this tour!
I have never been as in touch with flavors as I was during the tour. Lina far exceeded expectations with her in-depth knowledge of the processes and conditions that come together to build the flavor profile and aeromatics of both the coffee and chocolate. Additionally She was very knowledgeable on the area, it's history and good places to see while in the area. 10/10 great way to begin our stay here.
The best time! The coffee and chocolate were both incredible. Lina was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was like taking a crash course in everything you need to know to explore and appreciate artisanal coffee. Walks were fairly short and the neighborhood is super cute, with lots of great lunch options afterwards.
Lina was such a great guide and explained the history and techniques of making colombian coffee as well as chocolate in colombia. I didn't realize there was so much variety in the plants, ways to wash/roast, and brewing, which all make a difference in your coffee taste. The coffee and chocolate was great and I had a great time.
What a fun and lively experience! If you like coffee and/or chocolate, you have to try this experience. Our expert guide, Lina, provided us with a comprehensive overview of the Colombian coffee and cacao industies complete with lessons in geography, farming, and excellent taste testing. We had a fun and relaxing walking tour as we moved from coffee shops to a premium chocolate shop. Lina is warm, informative and very helpful. I will never drink a cup of coffee or eat chocolate the same way again. Thanks, Lina!
This is a not-to-miss experience if you enjoy coffee and/or chocolate. Even if you prefer tea to coffee the tastings may surprise you! Our guide, Lina, taught us so much in two and a half hours about the coffee and chocolate trades in Colombia. We learned the history of how the artisanal coffee scene got established in the country, the different coffee growing regions and how they affect the body and flavors of the coffees grown there, and a relationship between coffee and chocolate flavors. The tastings themselves helped me to learn so much about how to discover the flavors in artisan coffees and chocolates (don’t try this with diner coffee and a Hershey’s bar), similar to tasting wines. Lina even gave us restaurant recommendations (since the tour begins in the Gastronomy Zone) for afterwards. We walked to one, Chicheria Demente, and had dinner there - also a wonderful experience!
Awh coffee lovers would enjoy this tour, the host was very informative and the location was quite nice
I learned a lot about the coffees and chocolates from different regions of Colombia. Lina is superb and helped me understand the various coffee making methods and how they contribute to the different aromatic notes. Learning about the different types of chocolate and cocoa was also fascinating. Highly recommend this experience with Lina!
Highly recommend! Learned a lot about the Colombian coffees. Enjoyed the cafes and chocolate store and the neighborhood in general. No pressure to tip or buy! Friendly folks, relaxed. They handled our big group in three parts and all the guides were great. It’s was super fun! No wonder this tour gets five stars!
So educational and fun! Our group had Lina as our guide. We had no idea about different coffee processes and preparation impacts the flavor.
It’s a wonderful way to learn the process of coffee and chocolate while enjoying it at the same time. You also get to learn a brief history of Colombia. Very friendly tour guide!
Such a great tour! Lina is super knowledgeable, personable, and her English is perfect. We learned so much about the area, and coffee and chocolate production! 10/10 would recommend!!!
