We learned so many neat things about Bogota. Highly recommend 👌

Itinerary
Meet our guide holding the company’s yellow umbrella, and the rest of the group at Chorro de Quevedo Square. He and the technical assistant will hand you the bikes with their helmets.
Once everything is set, the adventure will start. The guide will first take you to the three founding plazas in La Candelaria to understand how the city has changed over time. From its indigenous beginnings to Spanish colonialism, independence, and modern times. Then, you will cycle along the seventh avenue, originally a salt road in indigenous times that now gathers Colombians of all walks.
Stop by the National Park, half forest-reservoir, half-cultural hub. A typical weekend gathering spot for Bogotá’s denizens, where we will discuss broader changes in Colombia as a whole.
Afterwards you will take the bike roads to the Parkway Boulevard, part of La Soledad’s neighborhood, a natural path full of trees, before crossing El Dorado Avenue, the road that takes you to the airport.
Before going back to La Candelaria, you will have the chance to cycle through hidden neighborhoods where graffiti has become a way of facing social issues.

Interesting bicycle tour showing more aspects of Bogota. Our tourguide was very friendly and well informed. The tour is mostly flat.
Really enjoyed the easy-paced stroll through the city, very relaxed and enjoyable vibes. I liked how we explored different parts of the city and learned about each area and its architecture. That was my favorite part - the architecture info was super interesting.
Luis was a great tour guide, we did have an amazing time! 10 out of 10. We went different places and took amazing pictures
The tour guide was very informative and accommodating. Traffic can get crazy in Bogotá, he made sure to keep an eye on us, and made sure we were comfortable with every aspect of the guide. Highly recommend.
Tour was very good. The guide was super friendly and informative and was very responsive to all our questions. It really helpful for us to get our bearings
A great tour well managed and I would highly recommend it. Our guide was bilingual and very patient.
Great way to explore Bogota: you're seeing areas you wouldn't by simply walking. Thanks to Bernardo we also learned quite a bit about the history, socialeconomic background, fruits and of course coffee - a clear two thumbs up!
Great way to see the city! Bernard was very chill guid! We have been well taken care off, even when chain of one of the bikes failed! Thank you for that :) Definitely good way if your visit is short like ours. Thank you!
The terrain in Bogotá is quite hilly so we actually swapped across to the walking tour as my wife has a bad leg currently and middle age passed a while ago. However, it was our choice and I couldn’t mark the guide down for that. Sara was excellent: personable, knowledgeable, good English and some good stops to taste different fruits in a market and properly filtered coffee made with an extremely painstaking method. Thank you. 5*
We had an amazing bike tour with Jose. Even though we only were two people he still did the tour, showed us many different quarters in Bogota and explained a lot about the city’s history. He was also very considerate, drove carefully, looked out for us and asked is which quarters we would like to see and if we are comfortable. Would definitely recommend!
The tour was very informative and we got to see a small but interesting portion of the city. (Only 10% according to our guide!) The bikes are single gear and in good shape. There are some portions towards the end where the uphill climb may be slightly tough if you are out of shape/older but not too hard. Pro tip: bring plenty of water, we ran out halfway through and didn’t have a chance to stop along the way for a refill.
We really enjoyed our tour with Bernardo. He took is around to some lesser-known areas and gave interesting insights into the history and culture of Bogota. The bikes were sturdy and well suited to the riding. Sunday is a great day to do this tour as they open the cyclovias.
Trip was cancelled 15 minutes after the scheduled start due to a no show host. Consider going with a better reviewed, more reputable company to entrust your family vacation to.
Our biking trip was cancelled, only after our party of six met in the designated location and waited 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, only to be told that our guide did not bother to show up and no one else was available. Don’t waste time with Gran Columbia Tours! Our experience was ruined because the event was cancelled so late!
Very informative, our tour guide Bernardo was super nice and made sure our group was all together at all points of the tour. Definitely a must if you visit Bogotá and want to see different areas! The only cons were that my bike was in the lowest gear and was tricky to pedal fast and couldn’t change gear. Also, some parts of the tour was on the road so we had to be super careful of the cars. Overall a great experience!
It was everything I expected it to be, and beyond. All the places we went to were very interesting and the guide we had was very nice. I would recommend it to everybody!
They didn't turn up! I was there 15 minutes early and stayed for a half hour after the appointed time. If they were there, they were hiding very well - no sign, no name of company, no bikes! And no 'yellow', whatever that means. I'm furious - I built my whole day around it and I only have one day in Bogota.
It had been raining daily so most people opted for the walking tour, I fortunately opted for the bike tour and enjoyed gaining information about the main plaza, parliament, and other sights in bogota and the surrounding area that Jose a awesome tour guide provided !
Bernardo was our guide for the day. It was just the 2 of us, my boyfriend and me. He told us so many interesting facts about bogota. She was super nice and chill. Definitely recommend doing a bicycle tour because you are able to see more than by a walking tour. :)
Plaza Bolivar is the only place of interest worth mentioning. Not much to see in the city of Bogota.
The tour guide, Luis, was very attentive and took care to count the participants often. His knowledge of the routes and areas were sound. It felt safe to travel on so many bike trails. We traveled with a group of about 12. The equipment was very old, very worn. This can not go without saying no matter how good a time I had. In fact, our tour started an hour late due to this one-man-show having to both unpack each helmet and bicycle, but to also individually pump up tires and replace broken pedals and the like. At this, noting, Luis was very adept at his reparation skills. Females should be aware that only male-styled bicycles are available; those are the ones with the bar going across. So, no skirts! While we traveled many interesting routes and neighborhoods, there were far too few opportunities for photo taking as a result of maintaining preparedness against the 'magician' pickpockets. As one of the ones who fell down during the tour, I applaud Luis' attention to detail and care. I would like to suggest he travel with a basic First Aid Kit. I appreciated how much LOCAL knowledge Luis offered. Often times these tours get too caught up in fluffy touristy-history tidbits. It was great to actually learn.
Did the bike tour with José who was an amazing guide and shared so much knowledge. Saw some of the main sites around the city that I wouldn't have seen on foot and learnt about Bogotàs history and culture. Really good tour - worth noting that you need to be able to ride a bike and be comfortable riding on roads but José did a great job ensuring the safety of our small group.
Our tour guide Jose was awesome. Got to see lots of history and a very good contrast of neighbourhoods around. Very worthwhile and worth the money. Thanks Jose
Great bike tour with Bernardo as the prefect guide. We enjoyed it very much as a family with two grownup kids.
Francisco was a very knowledgeable tour guide and this adventure was one of the highlights of our visit to Bogota! Highly recommended. Note that if you are out of shape or an inexperienced biker this tour may not be for you given Bogotá’s crazy traffic and 8,000’ altitude.
Jose was fantastic! We learned so much history and culture about Colombia without feeling overwhelmed. We have a new appreciation of the country because of him! He was patient and funny and made sure we were comfortable during our bike ride. I definitely will recommend him to everyone.
Great tour, you get to see different parts of the city and the scenery makes for a dreamy bike ride. Our guide had a lot of interesting information to share on each stop
To explain the rating first - I did not actually do the trip, so I don't want to give a 1 star, but I do want to leave feedback. On arriving by the fountain the weather was ok but it had been raining all morning. We were taken to the bike place to get bikes and it absolutely poured with rain, so we were asked to wait 30 minutes to see what the rain did. This was fine but I decided at that point that cobbled sloped roads in the wet and with a lot of traffic was probably not my ideal thing to do. I explained this and duly left. I did see the group later in the afternoon and they all looked absolutely soaked, the traffic manic and roads running with water. So this is an observation, not a criticism. I am a keen and able cyclist on my own road and mountain bikes in the UK, but I did feel I wanted to use a gearless bike on the cobbled streets of Bogota.
I enjoyed biking in a group and seeing the square with the government buildings. It was also fun that it rained on the ride — what else’s to do during rain?! LOL but the tour did not seem super safe, and it would be easy for someone to get hurt.
Francisco was a great guide with the right mix of biking, getting a feel for the city and the rich history. Highly recommend!
Bernardo was magnificent and that is mainly why I gave 5 stars. It is not a good idea to go to this tour on Sundays. Absolutely crazy to go through walking and biking crowds. Bicycles are OK and the route is interesting for first timers. One other detail is that one support individual for 12 was not sufficient for getting bikes ready and carrying on the ride. Bernardo had to speak in two languages which made tour unnecessarily long.
We really enjoyed the bike tour. Our guide, Bernard, was excellent. He was knowledgeable and engaging. We were able to cover a lot of ground in bogota and see more neighborhoods than if we were on foot. Highly recommend!
Luis was a phenomenal guide. When I went it wasn’t the high season so I was the only person signed up for the bicycle tour. I fully expected him to cancel as it’s hardly worth his while to take out one person. But we did the full tour, and he really showed me all the sides of Bogota. My Spanish is pretty useless, but there were no problems communicating. Couldn’t recommend this company highly enough.
We really enjoyed the biking tour through Bogota and can only highly recommend it! We learnt a lot about the city from our guide Francisco and it was in general just nice spending time with him and talking about the life in Bogota. We visited some nicer neighbourhoods and also Santa Fe, which is a rather poor district. It was interesting to see the differences and learn about the area grading system of the Colombian government. The bikes were in shape and we always felt secure during the tour. We were surprised how many really nice bike lanes Bogota has! Thanks a lot for the great tour Francisco and as already said, we can only highly recommend it!!
We absolutely loved the bike tour. Our guide, josé, was fantastic. He showed us around to experience all facets of the city & gave historical backgrounds. i would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore more than the touristic hot spots.
We booked a private tour since we have 2 young kids 6 & 8 and it was a good decision. Can’t imagine the kids trying to keep up with adults at the regular tour. Our guide was Luis Carlos and he was great. Very patient and worked well with the kids. Some of the areas are challenging to navigate with the kids due to the traffic and narrow roads with tons of pedestrians. We did walk some of the areas to avoid any crashes and it was all good. We made several stops at Plaza Bolivar, a fruit market where we got to try tons of exotic fruits and rode through the park. We took the tour on a Sunday so the Main Street Carerra 7 was closed to cars. It was great to ride on the wide street with hundreds of bikers and no cars. Highly recommend the tour, kid should be quite comfortable handling a bike to do this.
Had a great bike ride on a Sunday morning with our tour guide Bernardo who was excellent in providing our small group (two solo travelers) with information along the different stops along our tour. It was great to take advantage of the Ciclovia and get around easily without worrying about vehicle traffic. We tried Some fruit juices in the National Park (included with tour) and ended the tour trying some Chicha and local beer at the Mercado in Candelaria (paid for this separately). Bernardo’s English was very good too.
The day I made the tour I was the only person but Francisco was a great tour guide. Taught me a lot about Colombian history, culture and Bogotá. I really enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much Francisco!
excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the area and its history. really enjoyed the bike ride and the place visted.
Our guide was fabulous! He made the trip both fun and interesting. The perfect way to explore different areas of Bogotá without stepping too far out of your comfort zone!
Great tour. José not only guided me to some tourist attractions but also told a lot about colombian society and politics. I was the only one doing this tour so I was a little afraid whether it would still be the same but José is very passionate about his job as a tour guide and spent all the time needed to ask all my stupid questions. The bike ride was nice and at a comfortable speed. Since it was on a Sunday, it was Ciclovia in Bogota which means that a lot of streets were closed for cars and only open to bicycles. That's make the tour even more enjoyable, I think.
Awesome tour with the best Guide Jose :) Really good experience to visit Bogota by bike. It‘s so easy to see many places in a shorter time. And the ride through Santa Fe is so amazing. Thank you very much! Even the cafe in the end is free!
The bike trip with Francisco was really great! You get to see very different area’s of the centre of the city. He tells you a lot about the things you see. The tour itself is not too demanding. Recommended!
A very nice bike tour with Francisco! We discovered the center but also some more far borrow. With a lot of very interesting story or fun fact. Thank you for this very good experience!
Hello. I take a part of Bogota cycling city tour with tour guide name Francisco. It's was my best in all tours. Francisco told very interesting information about historical places and itself history besides about new tall buildings and downtown. At the end we drank delicious Colombian coffee in heritage part of the city. Francisco English is perfect, he very friendly and smart man. I am traveller from Kazakhstan and I was very happy to meet Francisco and visit Bogota. Best regards Askar.
Excellent 2.5 hour bicycle tour of Bogota. Our guide, Francisco, was extremely knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Highly recommend this as a way to familiarize yourself with the city.
Our guide was Francisco, who was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. My partner and I have been to Bogotá many times but this was the first time we decided to do a bike tour. Totally worth it!
Best Tour Guide Ever. We loved it! I can highly recommend! Francisco is the best, very nice and helpful!
I had a fantastic bike tour around the city with Francisco where we got to explore so many interesting neighborhoods. A much more rewarding way to get to explore Bogotá. I definitely recommend it to everyone.
