The hotel is in a wonderful location and is nice enough. The staff are incompetent. They chose to allow an election party at the hotel on the night of a contentious election. Way too much security for anyone to feel secure. Completely irresponsible.
What a great experience! My first time traveling to Bogota with my CEO and the hotel was above and beyond our expectations. We felt safe, well taken care of. The rooms are very comfortable appointed with beautiful furniture and woodwork. I also had an opportunity to go to the spa and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of services I received. Definitely my place in Bogota!
They do a good job of upholding the JW standard. The towels are a bit rough. I would have enjoyed a room with a view. But I believe they overall did a great job and it's clear that everyone has a commitment to quality.
A must in Bogota! Typical service you would expect from a JW. Spa was very good; sauna and hot tub were huge. Gym was excellent. Lounge had great food and the concierges at breakfast and dinner were excellent. Great customer service. We didn't eat at any restaurants, just hung out in the lounge. I encourage you to tip these guys as they worked hard to make sure you had everything you needed and remembered your preferences from the day before. Location is great and walkable to several shopping areas. Uber works very well or you can contract with a taxi to take you places.
Went with my family for a Christmas Eve dinner, and the experience couldn’t have been worse. The food was cold and offered little variety. The band was too far away to be properly heard or enjoyed, and there was no clear effort to create a family-friendly atmosphere. Staff recorded videos of guests without asking for consent and appeared more focused on that than on service. All of this for COP 500,000 per person. Unacceptable. We felt robbed.
