Deserves to be a 5 star hotel, easily one of the most comfortable hotels in Bogota. Staff is overly nice and always looking to help and facilitate your stay. Rooms are fully equipped with everything you need. Perfect for a long stay, it has a gym and 2 restaurants, even if you don’t want to dine in the hotel, it has a premium location near park 93 which has plenty of premium restaurants and the hotel is only a 15 min walk, from Zona T

Very nice hotel, extremely friendly and helpful staff, and a fantastic food experience.
I moved from one noisy hotel to another!!! I moved to this hotel hoping for some peace and quiet and it seems even noisier than the last one. There was loud music playing at 7am on the hotels restaurant and lobby speakers and given the poor sound insulation, I was awoken at 7am on a Sunday! And the clanging of bottles and glasses stated, and the sound of chairs being dragged. And when I called down to complain, the same reception (Karen) who spoke great English the day before, suddenly claimed she couldn’t speak English anymore. She had attitude, was rude and was totally dismissive me. Instead of offering to move me to a quieter room she was aggressive and confrontational. Needless to say when I asked to speak to a manager, she said there isn’t one. Sadly another bad experience in a hotel in Colombia. DO NOT RECOMMEND — NOISY HOTEL WITH A RUDE RECEPTIONIST. I am now adding to this the next day. I spoke to the manageress as I checked out - she was actually VERY accepting, humble and apologetic. Despite the front desk staff being so rude, the manageress was actually VERY NICE. I feel sorry for her that she has such a rude receptionist.
When I travel internationally I usually pick chain hotels like Marriott, Hilton etc for a more consistent care free stay. I was pleasantly surprised with hotel El Dorado by the service, cleanliness, amenities, rooftop bar, walk ability and value. The front desk staff were consistently courteous and helpful regardless of time of day or night. There was a well equipped gym on the top floor.
Very clean, friendly staff and conveniently located The only thing which really bothered me is the hotel policy. They let us wait until 3pm before we were allowed to check in even though there were only very few guests in the hotel. We arrived at 11:30 am (after a 12hrs trip) and had to wait in the lobby like stupid for three and a half hours. I know it states it in the description but it does not cost the hotel a penny and would have been a nice gesture of hospitality.
