first of all, as someone not from Bogota, it was in a very safe environment, though not very close to the historic district. there were lots of nearby parks and office building and places to get coffee. the service is what takes the cake . the service was exceptional. the restaurant service , to the front desk who answered our queries within 20 minutes, to house cleaning staff ( after having had issues with them in many hotels). the room was spacious and clean for a good rate( we had a suite with a king sized bed, full service kitchen and fridge and microwave for standard average us hotel prices. the gym was really small and the food was good but mildly overpriced for Bogota standards, however, the way the servers treat you alleviates the stress. highly recommend.

They have parties in the basement that can be listened from every single, going ob until 1am. Horrific
This place is a gem in many ways. On the plus side the rooms are spacious, the bed is very comfortable with high-quality linens, the location is safe and quiet, and the breakfast was delicious. However, much the staff seems to only speak limited English and there are minimal utensils in the kitchen. Their web site says that full kitchen items can be supplied upon request but our request for teapot other way to boil water yielded a pot with misfitting lid. Also, we went down to have dinner one night and there was no one working in the dining room. After waiting 5 minutes the person at the front desk called someone. He told us to sit wherever we liked but we found that 5 of the tables were dirty, there was one that had not been cleared and there was trash on the floor. We left.
The staff were very friendly and made an effort to speak some English, which I appreciated. The room was huge, and having a fireplace was a cool touch. But the living room felt bare, just a couch, recliner, and table in a massive space. It honestly reminded me of something I might’ve thrown together in college when I didn’t have much money. Functional, but not exactly cozy or well-designed. That said, the full kitchen was a huge plus—big fridge, microwave, plates, utensils—it really made the room feel like a full apartment. The bed was comfortable, and although there were a couple of items left behind from the previous guest (like a coin and a hairpin), it didn’t bother me too much. The bathroom had both a tub and a shower, which was a nice surprise. I didn’t get to try the pool, but I heard it had jets and looked nice. What really stood out was the gym access. While there’s no gym on-site, the hotel partners with a luxury gym just two blocks away, and it was honestly the best gym I’ve ever used at a hotel. Three floors, cycling, cardio, weights, and fitness classes. If fitness matters to you, then that alone is a good reason to go to this gym. I made a mistake and left my passport in my room and the hotel was nice enough to reach me on WhatsApp and help me get my passport back. I really appreciated that. Overall the stay didn’t feel “luxurious” but it had everything needed and more. That’s why I’m still giving it 5 stars.
Couple things: we booked online with breakfast buffet, were promised to have VIP access with a complimentary drink - never experienced either of them. Booked it for the kids to have access a pool which was mentioned on the reservation, when we arrived we were told that there is no such pool just a SPA small pool which we have to pay per person to attend (we then we offered to go there complimentary, which we are thankful for but the pool was not the actual pool that would be a normal size). We also arrived early due to the flight being early in the morning and we were charged more than have of the nightly price for the early check in even though the room was available. The rooms are dirty (the carpets were stained, there were nuts under the beds etc) and the apartments lack basic stuff, - it is certainly not a 5 star hotel. Would give it 2.5 stars at the most. The breakfast buffet is one word- DISASTER apart from the fruit that they had. The restaurant staff were amazing though and the service from them was outstanding.
