Hotel Lovec

Five stars maybe if you look up at night. This place is a half star at best. The room stinks of black mold bad made us sick go somewhere else. Mattress felt blown out and about 20yrs old. The duvet didn't even fit the bed. The smell in the bathroom was so bad we skipped shower due to mold .Breakfast was subpar at best Way over priced rooms along with way overpriced breakfast. The car park is also very noisy and lots of buss traffic.

The hotel is well located, on the main road, next to a bus stop and a few meters from the lake, with a mini shopping center nearby, in case you need to do some shopping, and many restaurants and leisure places around. The room is very spacious and the bathroom too, but they need a renovation...for the very high price you pay per night, you expect a more modern room. Although the bed is small, you can rest comfortably, they clean the room daily and change the towels, excellent! The best thing is the breakfast, super plentiful and complete, the lounge is very nice and the breakfast room staff are very attentive and friendly to the guest. The reception staff could be more cordial when greeting or saying goodbye to guests...the treatment is quite curt and lacking in tact. The view of the lake and Bled Island from the room was not what I expected; what you see is a shopping center in front of the hotel. Honestly, the photos on Booking are nothing like reality.

The hotel has bed bugs, many many of them in all sizes. I have over 200 bites on my body. We stayed on the third floor in the balcony room. Was room 309 if I correctly remember . We stayed for two nights and discovered this on the second night, the hotel compensated for one night only. Such low standards from a 4 star hotel. But this post is to warn guests. Do not bring them home. Check your rooms, at night and just after you wake up.

For a 4-star hotel, there are a lot of problems!!! The service and staff is bad and unfriendly. This hotel is not worth the money. First, when we arrived they told they would do our Julian Alps card for the other day, but they didn't. So, they showed us a qr code. Second, if you would like to use the pool, bath tub or the sauna, you need to call them to turn things on. Third, in our room, there was no bottle opener. How do you expect people to open a coke or a beer without it????!!! When we went to the reception, they told they couldn't help and sent us to the pub/restaurant. There's they told it was supposed to have inside the minibar, but no, in our room we didn't have it. Fourth, cleaning service is a disaster. We had 4 towels: 2 for pool and 2 for showering. They only left 2 towels. The bed was not made and the mug that we used for a tea was not cleaned, plus tea was not replaced. Besides that, everything feels you are asking for a favor and that you are not paying a high cost for the hotel. Fifth, water was not going away on the shower. Really disappointed. At least the breakfast is decent and the bed is comfortable, but definitely not worth the money.
