Really good fun, we got to see parts of Birmingham we didn't know existed! Easy to get started and the clues were paced just right, not ridiculously difficult but not too straightforward either. Thoroughly enjoyed this and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun, interesting way to discover somewhere.

Itinerary
You’ll be led around the city by Captain Bess, a snarky pirate who’s testing out new recruits to join her ship! Bess will send a series of maps, clues, and directions. You follow the map and solve the clue by searching for your surroundings. When you get the right answer, you’ll move on to the next place. Don’t worry, if you get stuck you can ask for a hint and Bess’ll get you on your way! Along the way you’ll see lots of sights and Bess will tell you some fun facts about some of them. It’s a perfect way of discovering things you might want to come back to. The game works a bit like an online group, but on a web page instead. You don’t need to download anything and it doesn’t need any permissions. Before you’re due to start, we’ll send you a link to the game. Open the link to join the game and share it with your team so they can join too. Once you’re ready, Captain Bess will tell you what to do next.

Great fun and a new way to see our favourite city. My 15 year old really enjoyed it. We found some real hidden gems on the route! Lovely pubs and cafés on the way and loved the historical facts given on our way round. One or two of the clues were a little misleading and wouldn't have booked it if I'd have had to pay full price.
A really fun way to see parts of the city you wouldn’t normally come across. A good level of challenging clues. Would recommend for any sized party
We had a mixed age group from 8 to 72yrs old. We enjoyed it. The children were keen for about 8 clues, then got weary! The 2 70 year olds finished it!
I chose this experience while looking for a fun, wallet friendly day out with my friend. We were lucky enough to land a gorgeously sunny day and made the treasure hunt last a full 5 hours with a couple of food and drink stops plus the secret seventh floor library garden! 100% recommend.
I live locally to Birmingham but having done other treasure hunts it seemed appropriate to do one closer to home. Logging and in starting the game is so easy and straightforward and there was evening a notification about other events in the area that could impact the hunt before we finished the booking so we could make an informed decision!! The route was great and took in lots of things we’d never noticed before and places we’d never been. Great pit stop recommendations were included in the tour and it’s so well put together!! This was our 4th city treasure hunt and I would thoroughly recommend.
We’ve done a couple of these now and they’re always great. They get you around to places you wouldn’t ordinarily go, and looking for clues does make you more observant to your surroundings as well. Would always recommend, and we’ll definitely do more on our travels.
I found Treasure Hunt online as a surprise for my girlfriend a few years back, completing the Brighton challenge. We loved the way it cleverly weaved local history into the experience, and things you would notice if you looked more carefully. It was an amazing way to spend a few hours, and the Birmingham hunt did not disappoint! It's very fairly priced and you can also pause if you need a break (for up to a year) We've also tried other companies but there's no comparison. We thoroughly recommend them to everyone 💯
Fantastic day! Booked for a hen do. Everyone really enjoyed the day and we were so lucky with the weather too! Great locations, fabulous clues, brilliant stop points! Also learnt information about Birmingham! From start to finish I couldn't fault anything and the customer service and support is just impeccable! Book it, you won't regret it!
Had a fab day exploring a side of Birmingham we had never seen before. Beautiful architecture, amazing viewpoint from the Library of Birmingham, canalside walk and through the historic jewellery quarter. The website app was really easy to use and what we really loved was the indepth information provided at points of interest throughout our walk. The Captain's Log we received after we finished meant we had a treasured memory of the day. The best treasure trail we've done to date!
We loved the treasure hunt, it was really easy to follow, I have been living in Birmingham for 33 years and I learnt so much I didn’t know. Was so much fun and look forward to doing another one. Thank you also for making the route wheelchair accessible as this was very important to us as we was trying to find an activity my friend could take part in. 🙏
Great city tour that takes you a little off the beaten track of the immediate city centre by taking in some jewellery quarter and St Paul’s square. Fun interactive WhatsApp instructions and clues. Pays £30 for 4 ( well worth it) and had 3 hours of fun with a drink stop. Not too far to walk over time. 100% recommend
The treasure hunt is a great way to take a in our case first look around the city. It makes you navigate and look around making you get familiar with Birmingham. Would recommend!
Was a great day with our twin 10 year olds. Starts out easy with a few harder clues later on. Lovely walk interesting info and easy to use.
Hi, we thoroughly enjoyed the few hours working our way around Birmingham, working out clues. The ice and snow inhibited us a bit, but that was just unlucky! There were a couple of clues which were covered by scaffolding. The library 1 we had help from a worker behind the scaffolding, and the owl clue on a building with scaffolding on it was a guess! We really enjoyed the info given about parts of Birmingham City 😀 Admission price was fair and length of walk was just right. Loved around the canal.
Really enjoyed following the clues and learning more about Birmingham’s history. The Joining instructions are very straightforward to follow.. Very easy to use App and it offers really useful advice of where you can take breaks during the tour. The tour offers great value for money and it’s good exercise too, would recommend to others.
We know Birmingham quite well as it’s our closest city. We wanted to do something as a family (with teenagers) to get out and about but not travel too far and having done the York t- hunt a few years ago we thought we’d give it a try. An enjoyable couple of hours including seeing a few bits of Birmingham we’d not walked past previously and finding out some facts we hadn’t known before. Maybe a couple more clues during the longer gaps but overall would def recommend. We did another in Chester with friends this week too!
We spent a thoroughly enjoyable day exploring Birmingham while doing this treasure hunt. A great way to see the city and parts of it that we would otherwise have missed. This is about the 5th one of these types of hunts that we've done and there will be more! Highly recommended!
We've a great day, here in Birmingham. We've seen places and things of interest that we wouldn't have seen if we hadn't done this super fun treasure hunt. Highly recommended!
We thought we knew everything about Birmingham but we actually learnt loads! A great half term day out with the kids, would highly recommend. Stopped for a drink at 1000 trades which is a real hidden gem.
Fabulous day out! A great way to see interesting parts of the city, that you wouldn’t have thought of yourself. There were lots of places to stop for food and drinks for everybody’s taste 👍🏻 Very impressed when we were unable to gain access to one of the clues. After a phone call on the day (which was quickly answered I might add) a small refund for inconvenience appeared in my bank account 😊 We will definitely do this again in another city!
I booked this recently for a team building day and it was fabulous. The setup is simple with clues and hints straight to your phone and a smattering of historical photos and interesting facts. The game is incredibly good value and suitable for groups of all ages and ability. The leaders board is a great tough and certainly brought out some competitive spirits. It took us about 2 and half hours with a short coffee break half way.
Planned the treasure hunt for a team away day and we all had a great time! Ian was really helpful in the lead up to the day and all instructions were clear and sent well in advance. The game itself was enjoyable and a great opportunity to explore the city (which some members of our team had never visited). We also all enjoyed the option to have a drinks break part way through!
A fun team get together experience for team building, a walk around the city and general knowledge around the city of Brum! The weather was amazing which always helps…you get clues, race across the city and have recommended stops on the way. A few cryptic clues…some fairly easy to those that get you really thinking. It doesn’t take too long either so can do in a couple of hours if you don’t stop.
Great way to discover new things about Birmingham - even if you think you know the city - and it was fun trying to crack the clues and race the other teams!
Great way to spend some time learning about one of our major cities. I'm a local but I still learnt something:-) Give it a go.
The tour is fun, engaging, informative and enjoyable. My attention was drawn to elements of the city I'd not appreciated before. It was a great way the spend the day with someone from a different generation. However, we weren't advised that there were several large groups doing the tour at the same time as us until after we'd booked and this did detract slightly from our enjoyment. My young companion was very distracted by what other people were looking at during our search for clues and at times, there was a small crowd around a landmark. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend as a fun half day out and a great introduction to the history of Birmingham.
A brilliant way to get to know a new city. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the treasure hunt in Birmingham. The questions were just right and the facts were interesting and with the right amount of information. We went at a leisurely pace and it took us just over two hours. The process of purchasing the treasure hunt and the information beforehand was very good and well presented. We are definately going to purchase treasure hunts for other cities. I would highly recommend the Fun, Flexible Treasure Hunt around Birmingham with cryptic clues and hidden gems.
Worked organised but good fun in sun. Discounts good idea too gor the team! Good clues and history facts as you went through. (Did in sunshine which was a bonus!) Thank you!
Had an afternoon to kill whilst wives were at the NEC so went into Birmingham and did the treasure hunt. Clues that were challenging enough to he interesting and not a tick box exercise. A well planned out route, of about the right length, and nice stops (pubs) along the way. We took the odd detour like into the library but that worked well too. A very enjoyable afternoon.
So much fun while searching for the clues. We loved discovering the historical part of the city and the interaction with captain Bess was great 😃. The parcours was perfect to keep everyone still interested for 2 hours, even for true Brummies
Used this tour for an awayday for a group of remote workers who wanted to get together and have a fun morning out. This really was an excellent idea and a great way of seeing the city. I actually grew up in Birmingham, but I learned so much.thoroughly recommended.
Really enjoyed this treasure hunt! The clues were good and we got to visit lovely parts of Birmingham that we would never have known about. Highly recommend this adventure.
A really fun and enjoyable day with the family. Process was really smooth and clear instructions. Great pub stops en route.
Awesome treasure hunt to have a really nice look around Birmingham. Ideal if you want to look at the sights if you haven’t been here before. With 2 kids 5 and 8 years old, took us a couple of hours. Great bit of exercise. 👍🏻
This was an excellent experience and thoroughly enjoyed it. The whole experience was so well put together and presented and it was fun and very interesting too. We learned so much about our own home town that we didn't know and saw so many different parts of Birmingham. The clues were thought provoking and really made you think. There were just the right amount of clues and the time it took to achieve them was ideal - not too long, but not too short either. Loved the fact that you got a score and a medal at the end of it, along with a summary of what we had achieved throughout the activity. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and it was nice to do something different; it was exciting, fun and interesting and I would highly recommend this activity to anyone. Well done to the creators of this event; they have done an excellent job and it was very reasonably priced with excellent visuals, instructions and interesting facts.
It was great to be out and about. the clues made you look all around you rather than just at something someone was pointing out. Gave lots of history on the city we wouldn't have otherwise known with lots of fun along the way.
Brilliant, what a fantastic little adventure with my partner. Now know of some lovely new places and some cool history about Birmingham. Thoroughly enjoyed it - will definitely try out some other cities if available. Thank you.
We had such a good day discovering parts of Birmingham that we did not know existed by following instructions and fathoming out the cryptic clues ! We stopped for lunch, at the suggested break in the clues, on the terrace of the old Button Factory in the Jewellery Quarter and then completed our “Treasure Hunt”. A thoroughly enjoyable day and highly recommended !!
Fab treasure hunt around a city that we thought we knew quite well but this highlighted hidden gems and information. Loved the game and bar suggestions. Would recommend and do again with friends.
Absolutely great time doing this. Only downside was the clue after Symphony Hall which says "Don't cross the canal" was misleading so you need to go onto the bridge.
It was good, worth the price and we learnt some really interesting stuff. Not too long either.apparently reviews have to be at least 100 characters.
This was a great team building exercise, we all enjoyed the experience and was a good way to learn about the city. We would definitely recommend and also try this in another city.
Great way to spend some time in Birmingham and see some things that weren’t really on the radar. Plenty of places to take a break on the way.
Great way to explore the city. The walk along the canal was lovely and stopped off at a couple of great pubs during the tour
We had the best day walking around the city learning stuff about Birmingham that we never knew even though it's our home city. Great that the sun was shining for us and that we could go at our own pace dipping in and out of the hunt whilst seeing the sights. Fun and fab! Recommended 💯
The Treasure hunt was an excellent way to explore Birmingham. The route was interesting and the clues really made you look up, down and all around you! The text messages explaining the route were easy to follow and the extra historical information provided was a bonus. Definitely recommended as a great way to explore the city and discover some hidden gems.
We are a group of ladies who met at Uni and usually meet up once a year. This treasure hunt was a good way to explore Birmingham, test our brain power, have a laugh and visit a few pubs on the way. We got a bit side tracked in one of the later pubs but were able to finish the hunt the next morning so having that flexibility was good. We’d definitely do this again in another city!
A really enjoyable and informative way of getting to see parts of the city I am pretty sure we wouldn't have explored or even noticed. The challenges were not too difficult and made us look and notice what was around us. The option for a hint was great in case we got stuck, but we found keeping going and re-reading through the clues helped. Loved the little bits of history and additional information as we went round. All in all a great few hours well spent. I'd love to do one again with a group of friends and introduce a more competitive element. But it worked great just with the two of us.
We had a great time, the treasure hunt really helped us explore the city, find hidden gems and learn more about Bham. The way it was done was great. Would definitely recommend this to all ages, groups of family or friends. Lots of great places to stop for food/coffee or to make it a pub crawl!!!
