I didn't actually stay so can't comment on the rooms. Bar is great for food I ordered in advance due to a work event and it was absolutely no fuss and no issues the staff were very helpful, also lots of entertainment in the way of screens and interactive darts (may come at an extra cost). The conference facilities are very smart huge screens bar and clean toilets. Location is a bit out of the way but not too far from Solihull

Positives: The bed was comfy. Shower was hot. Sauna, steam room was lovely Negatives: We called prior to request a bottle in our room on arrival this did not happen. Sticky tables and dirty menue in restaurent. Cold breakfast For a club room it was still basic, and wasn't clean, we found a flake (chocolate) wrapper and deodrant under the bed. Fleas in womens changing rooms jumping around, vile!! Recieved a letter under our door 1st night saying bill had not been paid when it had. Had to go downstairs to order room service due to no QR code being in the room as stated. Food in restaurent was reheated, tasteless, overcooked and hurt our jaws just to chew the food. There was no point upgrading to breakfast and dinner as we spent more money ordering take out. Didn't get fresh towels after first night, had to request them. No phone in the room to call reception. Would not return at all, very surprised they have so many running and they haven't been shut down.
Used the hotel to stay and for delivering training to 25 managers. Facilities are excellent, location perfect AND the icing on the top was the staff. Luke was the employee looking after our delegates, training room and all the hospitality. He was brilliant. Responded to all our needy requests. Organised photocopying, extra rooms, different food and snacks with a smile on his face, running around to help and couldn’t do enough for us. He was a star - made a genuine difference to the event. Well worth the day delegate rate for Luke’s attention and effort alone, everything else couldn’t be faulted either. Head chef made a great spread for day 2 too. We will be back.
We stayed at Village Hotel Solihull as a group of 10 across four rooms - four adults and five children. Before booking, I specifically called the hotel to check that EV charging was available and was told that it was. We arrived to find there were no EV chargers, which was particularly frustrating when I’d gone to the trouble of checking beforehand. The pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, particularly for the children. We checked in at 4pm only to be told that children had to be out of the pool by 5pm. Three of the kids managed around 30 minutes in there, but had we been told about the restricted children’s swimming times when booking, it may well have affected our choice of hotel tbh. With several children in our group, this was probably the biggest disappointment. The lifts also weren’t working during our stay, someone mentioned they’d be out of order for ‘a few days’ so might be worth checking before you go if it’s important to you. The rooms themselves are spacious. My daughter and I had a room with two double beds, which gave us plenty of space. However, they were extremely hot and the air conditioning didn’t seem capable of cooling the room down sufficiently. We ate in the pub in the evening. The food was OK, just standard pub fayre. Breakfast was fine. Small selection of yoghurt, fruit and pastries, and there was a cooked breakfast available and the kitchen happily made us fresh poached eggs on request. There are some positives here; the rooms are a good size, breakfast was decent and the pool itself was enjoyable for the short time my daughter was able to use it. Unfortunately, the combination of being given incorrect information about EV charging, not being made aware of the children’s pool restrictions until check-in, the lifts not working and the very hot rooms made the overall experience disappointing. For us, the pool situation was particularly frustrating because it was one of the main reasons we’d specifically chosen this hotel.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent service from start to finish I wanted to give a special mention to Kieran at the Village Hotel. He took the time to show me all the facilities and services available, and he did a fantastic job explaining everything clearly. He was very polite, honest, and professional throughout. I was really impressed with his helpful attitude. I would definitely recommend him, and the hotel in general, to all my friends, family, and anyone looking for a great stay.
