The Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort

Excellent 2 day stay. Staff were very helpful and especially Kat on reception she went above and beyond to change our room. Great location! Food was excellent!

Alex on reception was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. She quickly sorted me out with a room at very last minute, and even kindly lent me a charger despite it being a pain to find! She even walked me to my room because I was struggling to navigate the place 🤣 Her warmth and helpfulness made such a difference. She’s a real credit to the hotel. And we’ll definitely come back to stay again because of this positive experience. Thank you, Alex! Claire xx

An absolutely fantastic overnight stay at this Spa/Hotel. Booked this place for a treat for my Mums Birthday and it didnt disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the staff were polite, welcoming and accommodated us accordingly to our needs. Should have been on a higher floor but I mentioned my mum couldn't walk far and they put us on the ground floor which was perfect. We stayed in the Darby building which is the old part of the building (No Air conditioning) but they provided us with a fan and we took a fan of our own due to us currently experiencing a heatwave, 3 windows all opened slightly so lots of fresh air and a nice breeze. Beautiful views from our window and all around the building had beautiful scenic views of the gorge, was able to see for miles. Me and mum also had afternoon tea, it was nice....would i have it again....probably not but it was nice as a one off. A bit overpriced I think for what you got but your paying for the expensive I suppose. The tea was cold first time, we had to ask for another one to be made but the staff were very polite and nothing was too much bother they changed it straight away and brought us a fresh pot. Ive had better afternoon teas but it was okay....id say mediocre nothing overly spesh if im being completely honest. We also had a spa treatments by 2 girls caitlin and lee, they asked us if we would like our spa treatments together which was really nice. We both had a fit for buisness massage and it was incredible, they both made us feel very relaxed, was great at what they did and would highly recommend if u visit this hotel to give it a go. I will definitely visit and have more spa treatments here. Evening meal in the 1779 restaurant, very lovely staff, food was delicious, could have been a bit hotter in my opinion and took a while to receive our meal but it was very busy, look and taste was 10/10. Ate breakfast in the same resturant next morning, staff all welcomed us in, very smiley and again nothing was too much all willing to meet our needs. Food was delicious, plenty to choose from couldnt fault anything. Will definitely be coming back :)

Had a lovely overnight stay, celebration with my fiance. Had a bottle of champagne off husband to be and the lovely man in the desk kept it cool for us and suggested asking the restaurant staff for an ice bucket and glasses. They obliged. Drank in room later after dinner in restaurant, lovely food. Also tried golf for the first time as hubby used to play. Shop lent us a few clubs, thankyou! Brill views, could do with a cut back on trails for the walkers to get around! Even the members were friendly! One drawback, showers went cold as probably busy so early (8ish). But worth the early rise as breakfast was scrumptious!!
