Have been very impressed by a young Gentleman called Arian. After showing up to the desk he greeted the family with a smile. He took time to find out what we were doing in town and made some great recommendations of places to visit along with restaurants. We arrived a couple of hours earlier then scheduled and he understood the that our two young children were tired and made enquiries to see if we could get into our rooms earlier which we did. I also witnessed him with other guests through out the evening showing the same welcoming and genuine interest to their plans for the weekend. Thank you Arian for your great recommendations and making us feel welcome, I hope your employers know what a real credit you are to the team. The hotel is great as well as location, would highly recommend

Great location, but that’s about it. Staff were polite. There were three separate occasions across the two nights we stayed where my partner couldn’t get in the room as his keycard didn’t work, as a result of which I had a staff member knocking on the door at 1am to sort it so my partner could get in. I also had an issue getting in the room. Breakfast was poor, very limited options on continental, no porridge, coffee machines in tiny cramped corner of the bar so difficult to access/queues. Room itself was fine but quite dated, no aircon, only a fan. Bed was comfortable, unfortunately I didn’t sleep well due to the keycard issues we had. Car park privately owned so had to pay an additional £20 for parking which wasn’t particularly great. Overall not satisfied for the price paid. Wouldn’t return.
Great location, within easy walk into town near river. Parking on site at reasonable £10 per night.Comfortable clean room and hotel has pub bar with food or can dine in the Bistro. Breakfast was plentiful continental & variety of cooked items. The corridors and decor alittle dated & scaffolding up with works underway. We found our room was quite warm as there was not adequate air conditioning and obviously cannot open windows wide. Our room faced the river & local car park & got woken early with refuse truck collecting bottles from nearby bar. But we enjoyed our stay and found all staff we dealt with courteous and professional. We would stay again.
Managed to get a last minute one night stay here. Dog friendly ....room very nice and really clean. Comfy bed fresh white linens and lovely pillows However I never understand why dog friendly rooms have carpet... as the carpet seemed to be holding some doggie smells and could have done with a deep clean. Some works going on in the central outside area but it didn't affect our stay . We would stay again and recommend this beautiful hotel x
Enjoyed our overnight stay. Spacious bedroom and very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom and good shower with quality toiletries. The small fridge with cartons of mineral water was a nice addition. Very dog friendly and on arrival was handed a doggy welcome pack. Served good real ales and there was a choice of breakfast items and dishes on the breakfast menu. Great location next to the river and only a few minutes walk to the town crntre. Will definitely revisit.
