Stayed here for one night whilst away with work. Room was compact (single) but modern, bright and clean. Breakfast was included and there was a good choice of a la carte options that you could pre-order the night before for a specific time in the morning. Would definitely stay here again when travelling for work, felt very safe as a single female traveller.
Hotel was alright but I got charged twice and apparently nobody could do anything about it, so I'm out of pocket. OYO are also incapable of providing a VAT receipt. Not great for business travellers.
Great hotel near town centre. Comfortable beds, clean and quiet. Air conditioning too, which was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and tasty and the cost overall was reasonable for what was provided. Highly recommended
A lovely clean pub with hotel quality rooms above, fabulous food with an included breakfast which was excellent and a really friendly atmosphere with hardworking, friendly staff.. The bar was roomy and the range of spirits was great..nothing was too much for these guys.The Tamworth Arms was easy to find, there is limited free parking out back which you need to register your number plate for. Our room was a bit cold , we used the air con to warm it but it was a big unit and a tad noisy.. The bathroom was great, a modern style and lovely big shower with overhead and handheld shower, free body wash and hand wash, loo rolls were good quality.. my only problem was the drain smell that seemed to linger. The bed had great pillows, memory foam with neck support.. but the mattress was hard and lumpy with noisy springs.. I think it needs an upgrade. That said we would recommend and will book again when next up that way.
** do not book a room here** the room stunk of raw sewerage. I reported it and they said we have no other rooms. Due to the smell we can give you a full refund. So I had to leave with no where to go. This was escalated and a company called OYO who manage the bookings I feel are complete frauds. After saying there are paying me back (it was their room stunk of raw sewerage even the manage said yes it’s bad up there) I was promised to be paid within 5 days. They have now come back and said the hotel have now refused to pay me back. This has gone on over 2 weeks. I will be getting the police involved as this could be fraud at a higher level. The manager who promised me the money seemed nice and legit. They called once and agreed it to be paid back. Then they double crossed me even though the have the voice recordings. If you read your reviews pay me back ASAP. It’s the principle of the matter. See below what an absolute disgrace.
