My wife and I were visiting Birmingham Sea Life for our anniversary and, after searching around for somewhere to stay, we came across New Hall Hotel & Spa. We’re so glad we did! When we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely reception team and shown to our suite. The views overlooking the gardens were amazing, and the suite itself was beautifully furnished, comfortable, and spacious. We both slept well, and the hotel was lovely and quiet throughout the night. My only minor complaint would be that I didn’t find the mattress particularly comfortable, although I still had a good night’s sleep. After taking a walk around the hotel’s massive and beautiful gardens, we had dinner in the restaurant. The dining team were fantastic, and the menu had a thoughtful selection of options to suit everyone. Although we didn’t use the spa during our stay, we did have a quick look around the facilities, which appeared to be very nice and well maintained. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend New Hall Hotel & Spa if you’re looking for a relaxing luxury getaway. We certainly hope to return again in the future!

Me n my best friend came for afternoon tea. On arrival everyone was so friendly and polite. The hotel is stunning inside and outside and the dining area was lovely. Once sat we was allowed a few moments to get settled and choose our drinks and food. Was offered water. Our server Hannah was very polite and friendly explaining the menu . Even though Hannah is my daughter we was treated the same as the other guests and given the same high service expected of the staff. Hannah manager Marion came over and introduced herself. She was very polite and friendly asking if everything was okay. We was left to enjoy our selection of sandwiches and cakes and drinks. We will definitely be coming back again and I had a lovely afternoon tea celebrating my birthday
I have mixed feelings about my stay at the hotel. Before going into details, the summary is that hotel is overpriced and underwhelming, in dire need of development. Pros: Warm reception, great location and grounds. It has got tennis courts a golf course and green areas if you love walking. The spa which contains the gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room, is decent. Adequate consumables which we're complimentary, as well as towels and a bathrobe. It's got the old vibe going for it with moated manor house vibes and pre-modern artworks on display. CONS: The filth in the room and the corridor was unimaginable. Had to get someone from the front desk to come replace the fan and clean out cobwebs on the window (house keeping was not available). The toilet seat was in a mess despite a good bathroom space. Furthermore, it won't be a delightful stay when it's particularly warm. For me, it's money better spent elsewhere.
The hotel needs refreshment and investment. Also the wellness . Details show there is a lack of caring. The staff is friendly, but their hands are tied. The terrace is more an outlet for outdoor furniture instead of a cosy place to have breakfast or dinner. The wellness is there, but without soul or enjoyment . The seating outdoor is in plastic, and has a beautiful view on the car parking. And yet, everything is there: a nice garden, the location near B’ham, the building itself. But a view on the future is missing
The hotel and the spa and the grounds were amazing. Really nice experience, really quiet, really cozy, really romantic. The staff were lovely and polite. My only concern is the breakfast, I had the full English and the hash browns, the bacon and the sausage didn't taste fresh and crispy. We didn't finish it. We tried some of the pastries, and the pastries weren't fresh either and stale. That's one of the reasons I choose to put 3 stars on my review because I had much bigger expectations for the breakfast. Everything else was really good including the spa facilities.
