Mercure Telford Centre Hotel

Great hotel for a trip to the historic area around Ironbridge. Good location for local attractions and those slightly further afield. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Restaurant offered a good variety of dishes and service was very friendly and efficient, thanks to Yuen who looked after us.

Hotel is immaculate as usual, we stay a couple of times a year. Room was great with a nice touch of fruit for my birthday. Dinner was superb. Yuen served us at dinner. We have had her serve us before, she has always been delightful and attentive.

OK rooms, nice bar. BUT the pool & gym are no longer free it's £10 per person. Parking is also charged per night. Lady said £5 per night but paperwork in room said £10 per night or £12 for 2.

I'm a regular here and therefore seen alot of the hotel and seen how it's run over the years. I stayed in room 710 for 2 nights and I must say I was really pleased. The hotel room was quiet, everything worked, clean and comfortable. Downstairs was a really friendly atmosphere and catered for everything you need. The food at the restaurant was great value and the lady from Hong Kong who looked after us was a really great asset to this hotel. I think her name was Sharn. She was friendly, proffesional and amazing service too so we'll done to her she was excellent. Only quibble I had was the parking where suddenly charged with £12 for parking for the 2 nights which should of been made clearer on our booking so that disgruntled me. I chatted to the reception and discussed this with her and after she explained I felt happy. The location couldn't of been any better, close to shopping centre, retail parks, train station and motorway. So I absolutly recommend this hotel and can't wait to book again and have some more nights there as its great value, convenient, and comfortable. Ideal for us.
