A brilliant hotel in the heart of Birmingham. It is positioned at the Mailbox, with parking next door at the multi-storey car park. The rooms are large and amazing, especially given the room rates. Join the Mal Club to get discounts, and this also works with the Chez Mal restaurant. We ate breakfast here and the options are great. There is a nice little buffet selection and a breakfast menu for your hot food options. The staff were quick to clear away and take your order, and the food came out hot, tasty, and plentiful. Don't delay, book your stay here; you won't be disappointed. It is a "Top Notch" hotel.

My partner and I had the best experience at the restaurant! The food and the cocktails were so unique. The Garden of Eden cocktail was beautiful, as well as the dill dressing on my burger! Our server, Imogen, was fantastic! She was friendly, had great recommendations for drinks and food and was very personable! Some of the best customer service I've ever had! Thank you, Imogen!
Easy to find, car park in the same building (book parking online as you get a 20% discount). Swift, efficient and friendly check in, We had an upgraded room, it was huge, immaculately clean and had all the thoughtful touches you'd expect of a Malmaison. The bar didn't disappoint either, guys working were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help (especially when discussing other local places to visit that evening, we got some great recommendations). Atmosphere even late afternoon had a buzz, great to see a bar full of people enjoying the ambience, environment and excellent customer service. Keep up the great work Team Malmaison, we will be back and will definitely recommend.
* Malmaison great hotel, the booking experience with Hotels.com awful and unfair - recommend to always book direct !* Great hotel, and accomodating reception staff. Room was brilliant, very spacious, and extremely comfortouble. Well located for the centre, theatres, art galleries, bars and resturants. We booked in a heatwave (32c +) and this was probably one of the few hotels where the air con actually worked as well as being not noisy - absolute godsend. HOWEVER - Booking issue with hotels.com - absolutely furious! Payment and app crashing issues meant I booked a duplicate room completely by mistake - not my fault whatsoever and paid for two rooms when I only wanted to book one. After trying to get one refunded to no avail, was offered a change in date for one of the dates. Completely not my fault. Hotels.com obviously hiding behind hotels own cancellation policy when it was their app and payment service which was not fit for purpose !!!! Now we have to go back later in the year to use the unwanted booking and have had to pay even more to put the icing on the cake. Tip: book direct with the hotel and not through hotels.com. I have since heard this is not uncommon. Update - to Malmaison's credit I was contacted shortly after by the Assistance Reception Manager - Mae. Amazing customer service - we arranged a refund for the value of the booking minus hotel.com commission (im assuming). Thanks Mae and the Bham team for going above and beyond to resolve even though it was hotels.com's issue! ❤️ We will definately return - but will book direct for piece of mind and Club Mal's benefits.
We had an excellent stay here. The team were very accommodating and the room was spacious and very clean. We asked for a cot for our newborn in advance and the room was kitted out with cot, changing mat, nappy bin and extra bin bags. Room service was quick and fantastic. Only negative was that there were no plug sockets by the bed, only old USB style sockets. Worth noting if you need to travel with CPAP or other bedside equipment.
