A picturesque setting for an outdoor theatre, with woodland as a backdrop to the show. For Grease last year we had torrential rain, but the awnings kept us dry. This year we saw Anything Goes, which was another very entertaining show. As the venue is in the woodland and grounds of the manor house, it's fascinating to wind through the trees across wooden decking, then finding a Swiss style cabin which serves as a bar. Then cleverly they have a bar (drinks include barista coffee) located under the auditorium, toilets are another log cabin nearby. They even have toilets in the parking area! These facilities are to a very high standard, not like a lot of public loos! The car park has picnic tables, so ideal if you go to the matinee performance. Being a hotel and function venue, Kilworth House is a good place to go for tea and cake, having a lovely Orangery, which is sizeable enough to host various performances, including at Christmas time. A unique setting, with something for everyone, and my favourite live show venue.

Me and my wife would like to thank the whole team at Kilworth House for the most incredible wedding day! We went to one of their open days not long after we got engaged and we loved the venue straight away. It was the only venue we looked at and booked it not long after. It was definitely the right decision! Caroline was our wedding coordinator for our special day and we would like to personally thank her for all her hard work. Kilworth House Hotel and Theatre is truly a hidden gem and one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the stunning historic building, the perfectly maintained gardens, and the peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel instantly relaxed. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive, making sure every detail of my stay was perfect. The room was spacious, spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The food was outstanding, with a fantastic selection of delicious dishes prepared to a very high standard. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and one of the highlights of the visit. The theatre experience was absolutely unforgettable. The performance was outstanding, the outdoor setting was magical, and the whole evening felt unique and special. It's the perfect combination of luxury accommodation, fine dining, and world-class entertainment. Every part of the experience exceeded my expectations. Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a peaceful escape, I couldn't recommend Kilworth House Hotel and Theatre more highly. I will definitely be returning, and I can't wait for my next visit!

This review is for afternoon tea only. We had a slot open up 7 days ahead otherwise the wait list is months. So that's how the 2 of us secured a booking. The funny thing is that when we sat down for the afternoon tea, many many tables were still empty so maybe they don't operate full capacity for the afternoon tea to begin with. The choice of beverage is unlimited, however the food is limited. It is still enough that you'll need a takeaway box at the end of it. We went through a selection of teas and coffees. Then also had the afternoon tea food as well. There are 3 layers to the plate but 4 layers of serving. The scones are brought out after you clear the bottom savoury layer. The scones are warm so the enjoyment is time sensitive else it'll get cool and lose some of its fun.
