Best Western Plus Hotel Litteraire Jules Verne

Wonderful hotel in a great location! Very easy to walk into town and we really enjoyed the pool. Just one note: we were there for 4 nights and each day put out the “make up room” sign, but the room was only made up once and the bedding was not replaced at this time.

This is a perfect hotel for our short break in Biarritz. The hotel is a short walk, less than 10 mins to the city centre. The room was spacious, very clean, comfortable and quiet. The best thing about the hotel facilities is the pool and garden area as it is really relaxing. There is a cabana serving drinks, food and ice cream too. A special mention goes to the chap on reception who was really attentive and helped us go to the fetes de Bayonne which was a fantastic experience. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Great location, just a short walk from the market and restaurants. Rooms slightly on the small side, but perfectly comfortable. The staff were always very helpful. The pool area was very welcome on hot afternoons, there was plenty of shade if needed.

Overall the hotel is good, located close to town and easy to walk to beaches etc. Pool is nice, sometimes there is a bar service but not available all the time. The gym is small and didn’t have any great CV equipment, the water based rower would be better replaced with a concept 2 also a cross trainer would be great. However, biggest issue is the size of the bedrooms which are very small. There is hardly anywhere to unpack bags etc and we had booked a superior room so not sure what a standard room would be like. As we were there for 2 days we managed but for any longer it would have been unbearable. The air con was great in the room.
