Lovely relaxed way to see some of the key sights. We enjoyed sitting in the sun and having a nice drink onboard.

Great experience. The boat was pleasant C and the cocktails were great. It was a nice relaxing hour.
There are many river cruises and I only did the one. So, based purely on the Hemingway, I was not disappointed. Commentary was in both German and English and with an open bar. Particular information of the Iron Curtain was interesting.
Definitely had a wonderful experience. Loved the boat and conversations between visitors.
Both us and our friends were disappointed. I typically don’t leave reviews but they asked. I’ve done a similar one a few years ago and it was more educational as there was a speaking person and not just a recorded tour guide as this one
The audio on this tour was very quiet and you basically had to buy drinks to sit comfortably. I would have gone on another one if I had known. Drinks are expensive but they also have coffee. Not very nice employees but cool looking boat and great if you’re looking for a drink tour.
This was a gentle elegant cruise through Berlin on the river Spree, the crew were professional and friendly, with waiter service available, sitting at pretty tables downstairs or up on the viewing decks. The passenger numbers are much less than on some of the bigger river cruisers and this made it feel a very personal experience. Reasonably priced too. The commentary was very good, very informative, with lovely, eclectic music to fill in the gaps. I would recommend this to anyone, especially those who would appreciate a more sociable, approach to a river cruise. We really enjoyed the trip, it lasted an hour and was a highlight of our trip to Berlin - thank you Viator.
This 1 hour tour is relaxing. You don’t really see much to be honest. I had a good seat up front because it was not very busy. There was a woman with short blonde hair who was SUPER friendly! She made me an amazing gin/ tonic 👍👍 I forgot to charge my phone and asked her if there was a charger on board. She went out of her way to try and help me. Unfortunately things took a bad turn when I went to retrieve my phone - as we were getting ready to get moving. The captain (I guess?) aggressively tells me “It is rude to grab for your phone in my space”. Fact- I was not in his space. I didn’t get my phone and he ruined the vibe by being so negative before we even started moving. It got worse… He was nasty to the nice woman who helped me out. I felt terrible. I figured I would not be able to take pictures because of this foolishness…but the amazing woman brought my phone several minutes later apologizing to me. I told her she had absolutely no need to apologize. Again I felt terrible for her because I put her in that position. She went out of her way to provide a sensational customer experience which helps to promote great reviews and definitely helps build the business. Bottom line- the Captain was incredibly nasty to this woman and to me. He is bad for business and ruined my time. If anyone is following up- this was on Friday Aug 21 at 1:30 pm. Based on my experience, I would tell you to check out your options as there are many different boats in this same area. If you decide to take this one, I hope you have a better experience.
A spontaneous decision found us looking for a boat cruise on the Spree and we were so fortunate to come across a beautiful boat moored just near the Reichstag. We were looking for something different from the large cruise boats and the Fitzgerald certainly filled that brief. A very warm and entertaining chat with the captain & crew and the deal was done. We ended up on a ‘private’ cruise as it was just the three of us on board. Lounging on the top deck sipping our drinks and just taking in the scenery…the whole experience was excellent. Thank you again to the captain & crew and she really is a beautiful boat.
This was a wonderful, relaxing tour aboard a beautiful looking electric boat. When the tour ended, I liked it so much that I booked it again and stayed for another hour 🤣🤣. The staff was kind and made me feel very comfortable. The blankets were so appreciated. I loved everything about this. It began to rain but luckily we had a roof while still being outside and enjoying the views.
The boat is delightful, it has shade and linen covered tables with flowers on them and is a lovely old vessel. It feels like stepping back in time to the 1920s. The information is given in German and English. We watched packed vessels passing by with people sitting in the hot sun and were so glad to be travelling on this one. The price was very reasonable as well.
I was not happy with this tour operator. I thought their communication was poor. I would not book with them again.
We really enjoyed the boat tour. The crew was professional and friendly and provided great service. The narration was in both Germna and English. I highly recommend this tour.
A beautiful and a great way to spend the afternoon … the boat was lovely, the weather cooperated, and the drinks on board were lovely as well. (we did the 1:30 departure)
This boat tour was so quaint and lovely! The boat was beautiful and because it’s electric, it was very quiet. They served delicious drinks and gave us just enough useful information about what we were seeing, with music in between facts. My sister and I loved this tour as our first day introduction to Berlin and we would highly recommend it!
Nice boat and good tour. The historic ship with its electric engine was a nice change to other boats.
Wonderful relaxing cruise. We spent a lovely hour on this historic boat cruising the River Spree. Very comfortable wooden seating . We sat on deck although the inside looked quite comfortable. Commentary was very interesting and the quiet mechanics of the boat meant it was easily heard. Professional bar service and friendly staff made for a wonderful experience. So glad we picked this boat.
Enjoyed it VERY much! Great views of historic Berlin, nice crew, really liked the boat. More intimate than the big boats. Beautiful wood on boat, can purchase champagne and sit back and relax.
Lovely relaxing trip. Useful history provided. Great choice of drinks and waiter service on this lovely old boat.
The hour cruise was easy to find, friendly crew, informative in both German and English. Mostly it was not hurried but calm and fun, thank you
Nice and slow boat ride. Crew was really nice. They supply blankets and have a full bar.easy on and off
The Hemingway is a beautifully restored vessel. The recorded tour is interesting. We sat on the bow in a sunny day and were thrilled.
(Read other reviews too, I’m not the first to have this experience) I love Berlin boat trips. I live in Berlin and take friends and visitors on nice days to cruise the Spree. This time I booked a trip with Flagship Berlin: I downloaded the Pass card to my wallet and from the pass details I clicked the link to the destination for boarding. And I set off following my directions toward that destination. Only, there was no boat there where I arrived. I clicked a second time on the link. I was at the river. It had to be close. Nope. The Bettina-von-Arnin-Ufer was nowhere to be seen even as the map told me I had arrived. So I called the number on the pass for FLAGSHIP. No answer. Having walked toward a boat landing in the distance and seen it wasn’t for Flagship Berlin. I turned around and I called a second time; still no answer. Having turned around and became a bit panicked, continued to walk about 5 minutes from the false map pin and spotted the boat that I recognized from pictures. As I walked up with my friend, the boat was still docked, and they refused us boarding. It was exactly 13:31. I was 1 minute late. Panting and smiling. Asking to board. I was given a dismissive wave and told that it was my responsibility to be 15 minutes early. Ok….i said. But the map pin was incorrect. Had I been sent to the correct place I would have been 15 minutes early. It here I am and the boat is still here…. They untied and pushed off without us as the other guests looked on. I am out $75. OUCH I’ve applied for my refund but there’s been no response from with Flagship or Viator. But remember how I had said how I take these trips often? I recall now being on a Flagship boat (the two I now have seen are very special and different from other company’s. boats) I recall that the last time I cruised with them there was a spectacle on board with a very angry captain that shouted at many guests and was even yelling at people after they left the boat. It was very disturbing…something about an umbrella that belonged to the boat that guests were trying to use to block the sun while sitting on the boat…was not a good experience. There may just be a culture problem at Flagship Berlin. . I know I have now felt disappointed and treated badly twice: the first trip as a participant in the overall boat trip where the vibe was crushed and this time being rejected to board in spite of the boat still being tied up. I mean it’s a river cruise for tourists. We are all excited to sit in the sun and listen to an audio track on history of Berlin. Lean in and deliver a great experience. To the crew: BE a great experience for your guests.
Great trip that showed us a variety of sights in Berlin. We booked about one hour before departure to keep sightseeing whilst it was raining! Not a big boat which meant it was not crowded. There was a selection of drinks and snacks you could buy onboard and bathrooms below deck. There was a commentary for most of the trip in German and English. Good value for the one hour trip.
Absolutely fantastic. After tracking our step count this was a much needed break. Boat was very clean. Service and drinks onboard were excellent!! Highly recommend!
A very pleasant journey on a boat that is not rammed packed like many others and if you are lucky comfortable outside seating with cushions and tables. Reasonably priced drinks menu for a captive situation & served to you, however a polite request for a staff member to take a quick photo which would have taken but a few secs was turned down, not even an offer to come back, I have never had this before. Shame on an otherwise very good experience!
Great loved the views , great service and staff.
Excellent experience. Very comfortable and lots of space to sit down. Was very good value and great experience as the staff were very accommodating. Wasn’t too overcrowded and plenty of space to sit and also move around the boat for different views.
Excellent! Lovely trip on the river!
I loved our guide! He was great and so informative. Learned a lot from the tour! They also serve great drinks!! Even though we had some rain, the views were still good.
Wonderful way to experience Berlin with a wine in hand seeing the juxtaposition of city buildings Highly recommend this tour and the restoration of the boat was done so well.
We enjoyed our trip, the boat was clean and the staff very friendly. Overall experience was enjoyable although we would have preferred a little longer trip as one hour went really quickly
We were so glad we selected this cruise over others. The Hemingway was so charming with its history really shining. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and kind and happy to answer any questions. After walking around Berlin for days, this was a great way to get a different view of the buildings and town. We learned a lot from the recorded explanations of the sights!
Communication excellent in the run-up, Christine decidedly helpful in re-booking a twilight tour after we were delayed enroute. Crew could also not have been more accommodating, and canapés and drinks on the cruise made for a perfect end to our week in Berlin. The boat dated from 1908 and was beautifully restored, besides being converted to silent operation under electrical power.
This was so much more romantic than I thought it would be. We went at sunset, and I definite commend that because it’s a beautiful sight to see on the water. The complimentary champagne and mild wine are both great. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing experience to see the city from a new perspective.
Our trip was on a very bad weather day and the the cruise on the “Hemingway” was a perfect respite. It was comfortable with informative commentary in German and English. A good selection of drinks and snacks on board. I definitely recommend it.
Beautiful motor yacht built to a class style and converted to electric means it’s a quiet and relaxed hour on the Spree. The staff are very friendly and informative, and you feel very welcomed. A much better way to do a river cruise as there were only 4 small groups on board. A very comfortable deck, and stunning wood finish throughout.
Excellent tour and service. Love the Hemmingway and its electric conversion. Audio level could be a touch louder outside.
The boat was as lovely as we hoped and the crew warm and welcoming. We chose to leave the boat at the Berliner Dom to visit the Art Market close by. This debarking option is described in the tour itinerary, but apparently may not always be possible. We were accommodated that day, but be sure to tell the crew as soon as you board if you’d like to take advantage of the one-way option.
The boat is nice and there are snacks and drinks to order from a waiter. The information is well broadcast throughout the tour making it easy to know what is being passed by the boat. Staff were friendly and made it an enjoyable experience. I would suggest they leave more of the front open for people wanting to take pictures throughout the tour, vs. the current sitting where the same people sit in the front throughout the entire ride. Would recommend though as an easy activity and great views.
This little tour was so relaxing. It was narrated in German and English. I love that they transformed this historic ship to all electric. The staff came around throughout the tour to take drink orders. Great views and very informative.
My partner and I really enjoyed this cruise. It was peaceful and relaxing. The boat is beautiful, and the staff were very nice. It was much more intimate experience than the huge boats.
Small boat, beverages were offered with some snacks. A scenic 1 hour boat ride on the Spree, the recordings giving information about the places you were passing was hard to hear and could be updated.
Very relaxing cruise down the river and very informative on Germanys landmarks! We loved this beautiful boat!
Great tour! Got to see a lot in a short period of time. Staff was very friendly. Onboarding and booking the tickets was seamless.
Staff was super nice. Drinks were well made and reasonable. Overall great experience. The audio is in German and English.
We didn’t even get to participate. We showed up to the drop off location and no one was there. We walked 20 minutes looking for people and couldn’t find anyone. The pickup location was vague and no one reached out to confirm the exact pickup location. The app wouldn’t even connect us to the tour operator. I explained what happened hoping to get a refund and couldn’t even get a refund. 0/10 don’t recommend. Wait until you get there to book a boat tour.
Really nice experience on the boat - interesting and a good way to see all through Berlin. The boat is nice and it’s an informative trip
We had a wonderful one hour tour on this historic boat. It is much smaller than the boats we passed, which made it more intimate and friendly. The staff was very friendly and the description of the sites as we passed was very helpful (although they led with the German, so occasionally the English was a few minutes "late". Definitely a nice way to start your visit to Berlin
Lovely hours trip in a small group on a beautiful old yacht converted to run on electric power. Comfortable seats and drinks in lovely heavy glassware were an extra luxury. The commentary was quiet and not really in sync with the journey but enjoying the interesting scenery was plenty good enough
