It was a great experience. The guide provided great information along with relevant historical and present day context.
Fabulous afternoon with Kai! As promised, lots of laughter, facts and snarkiness. He does a great job weaving history with the present. Do yourself a favor and book today!
Fun way of learning history, interactive walk through the city
Had a great experience. Kai lived up to the reputation of the tour’s name but was in great humour and context. Very informative and a great overview of Berlin. Highly recommended.
The guide was a unbelievable guy, knowledgeable as hell and incredibly funny! An amazing energy and the rudeness promised we received to the fullest!!! Job well done! We are more than grateful! 🤛🏻😁
A fabulous, insightful and engaging tour of Berlin. Our tour guide Alex was amazing, super knowledgeable and gave great recommendations for the rest of our time in the city. We did the tour at 4pm and the sunset towards the end of the tour was glorious too! Highly recommend :)
This was a hoot! Anna led us in an information-packed three-plus hour walking tour covering centuries of Prussian, German (and West German and East German), and global history. She was engaging, appropriately foul-mouthed, and incredibly knowledgeable.
We absolutely loved this tour. Boston was a fantastic guide, combining humour, warmth and respect with an impressive knowledge of Berlin’s history and its people. We learned so much and came away with a completely new and deeper understanding of the city. A wonderful introduction to Berlin and one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you, Boston!
What a great tour! Alex our guide was just the right amount of cheeky and colorful character with a rich blend of history. What a fantastic way to see the city. Definitely a must-do! Also gave us a great dinner recommendation for Night Kitchen that we loved. Thanks Alex!
Amazing tour with Anna❤️. Quirky, funny, knowledgeable with a "don't givva fk, I do me" attitude that really elevated the experience. #Shitler#WeirdMicroPwhistle.
Super engaging and plenty of laughs! Highly recommend, awesome way to scratch the surface of Berlin’s history
Alex was our guide, and was AMAZING. The tour was an extremely informative and interesting introduction to Berlin. I highly recommend this experience!
I took this tour on day 1 of a solo visit to Berlin and was very glad I did. Our guide was Boston, who showed us the city with the right balance of fun, humour and respect. I learned a lot and enjoyed seeing the sights with a guide who added a real depth of knowledge, thanks Boston.
We had a great time, even though it ended up being just myself and my husband as the others that booked didn’t show. Our guide, Diane, provided us with a great tour, gave lots of info and answered our questions. She made the tour!!
My husband and I had a fabulous experience with guide, Alex! He was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and open to all questions. He provided a good amount of humour but also acknowledged when humour wasn't appropriate. We would really recommend you take a tour of Berlin with Rude Bastards, you won't be disappointed. (Just a side note - Google directions may take you to Legoland, KERB Food Hall is actually just before it and in behind Butter Bronson's in the Sony Media area.)
Alex was great guide that had lots of information and a good sense of humor!
My group and I had so much fun on this tour and our guide (Alex) was funny and made it SO worth it! He DID clown on my president a lot (I voted for him 3 times) but I understand it was all in fun. 11/10 stars, I would do this again.
Great experience. Alex gave great insight all with a side of humor! Highly recommend this tour if your in Berlin!
Our guide Boston was amazing and speaks nice jokes as well
Great time, very down to earth and makes you feel very much at ease. Very loose conversation. It took a few minutes to get used to the F Bombs and the ships because it's not something you come across in a tour, but loved it, It was 3 hours that felt like it was only an hour. Very interesting experience and would highly recommend.
Brilliant a highlight for our stay! Went quickly, Boston our guide was Amazing! Full of energy and knowledge
This is a walking tour around Berlin that gives you insight into the history of the city. Information is shared in a very open way which is very refreshing. Our guide, Matias, was really friendly and great to chat with. His knowledge was fantastic and he was able to answer all our questions. The tour is based on paying a donation at the end, rather than paying a fee at the start. Suggested donation if you enjoy the tour is €15-20. I was happy paying €20 as it was thoroughly enjoyable. It’s a long tour but you can stop for drinks and restroom half way through. Definitely come with comfortable walking shoes.
Great tour, delivered with sensitivity and humour. Dianne was a fabulous and knowledgeable guide who made sure everyone felt included and she delivered at a great pace. It was only a small group so there was room for discussion - it didn’t feel like we were being ‘talked at.’ The tour included a stop off at a small independent cafe (which was very reasonably priced for Berlin) at around 11:45 so people could sit, chat, and refuel. The tour was donation based - the guides don’t make a penny from the booking fees. Definitely glad we chose this style of tour over a more traditional one - from the get-go my adult kids and myself had a wager on how many f-bombs would be dropped which made it even more entertaining.
Anna was a cool and knowledgeable guide. We had the most fun we’ve had in a tour. Lots of laughs but also packed with history lessons every second of the way.
From the start the tour lived up to expectations - meeting place fresh bright and easy to find - arrive early for food and beer. Alex was so friendly and made everyone in the group feel like we were all long lost friends from the start - presented the tour like he was talking to a mate. Loads of info, presented in a well informal and irreverent way - as described in tour title. Checkpoint Charlie info and intro was worth the wait till later in the tour😆. I'd definitely recommend this tour with Alex as the guide.
Our guide was great! The tour was both humorous and informative. This is a great activity to do if you are in town for the Berlin marathon.
What a wonderful way to tour Berlin! Thanks to our awesome guide, Alex AC, it was enjoyable to learn about such dark history but in a way that was raw and real while still being respectful. My teenage son has been tired of all the tours I took him on around Europe, but he really enjoyed this one. It kept him laughing but also learning. Don’t hesitate to book if you’re into the dark humor but still respectful!
Very fun tour, Kai is a great tour guide😊
Alex , our guide, was amazing and friendly. A great way to explore the city at the start of your visit. Thank you, Alex!!!
Excellent tour. Highly recommend. Alex had the right balance of humour and sensitivity. We covered a lot of ground so make sure to wear comfy shoes. Not my first visit to Berlin but learnt lots of new information.
Alex is brilliant, funny, informative, as someone who wasn't sure about a walking tour, I had a great time. Highly recommend.
Alex was ace: knowledgeable, funny, and accomodating. 5* every time from myself and my husband! (So this review counts as two, Kai! ;) )
Interesting, engaging, funny! My adult children and I had a great time with Kai. Would do this again.
Had a great time on the tour, our guide Alex was, informative and easy to understand, very helpful with recommendations too, also thanks for the selfie 😁,would definitely recommend, thanks for our insight into Berlin!!
Alex was excellent. Really knowledgeable about the sites we visited and shared interesting historical stories.
Took the Rude Bastards tour of Berlin yesterday and had an absolute blast. This tour was recommended on Reddit, and the couldn't have been more right. I met Alex at the tart of the tour, and he immediately made me, and everyone in our small group feel welcome. He took the time to learn all of our names, and where we were from. Alex set expectations for the group, and took the time to answer all of our questions. This felt more like hanging out with a friend from college than it did a tour group. The pace was perfect, with comfortable paths and places to sit along the way. Alex was a wealth of knowledge, and I enjoyed getting to know him. Take this tour - it's one that you'll remember for a lifetime.
This was one of my favorite walking tours ever. Alex has a tremendous depth of knowledge and was able to switch from funny to more solemn depending on the stop. We feel like we hit the highlights of Berlin and he was a great resources for suggestions of other things to do . Highly recommend.
Alex was great. We enjoyed our tour.
Had such an informative & fun tour with Alex today despite the sometimes dark subject matter. He was funny, respectful & well informed. We took our 14 & 16 year olds along too. They learnt so much more than they did at school within the first 10 minutes. Huge shout out Alex! Respect 😎🙌
Alex (AC) was an excellent tour guide. Deeply knowledgeable of Berlin and quite hilarious, he was also very approachable for follow-up questions and for general advice on what to do in the city.
The content on this tour was amazing! We got to see major highlights of the city, and the history was explained so well with the perfect amount of humor. Our tour guide, A.C., shared his love for the city and its history in such a fun, informative way. He was also incredibly thoughtful on such a hot day, making sure we had breaks and that everyone in the group was comfortable, which was greatly appreciated. I highly, highly recommend this tour! Thank you A.C.😊
Alex was AMAZING!!!! He kept the tour moving and lively. Even though it was during the heat wave gripping Europe, we moved and did not feel the heat. His story telling was engaging and he did a great job conveying the history of Berlin in an upbeat/lighthearted, and yes...a little rude.
Went with my mother, tour guide Alex was as enjoyable as he was informative. Each location felt as important and impactful as the next, with equal part light hearted humour and serious sensitivity - highly recommended
What an amazing experience. Alex guided our small group in a humorous yet highly respectful way. The information provided was exceptional and delivered in a way that didn’t detract from the seriousness of the subject yet cut through the B/S and was said quite frankly and in a very relatable way. On what was a very hard day for Berlin I was thankful to be in the company of my group and Alex! I loved very second!!!
Very fun and informative look into the past and what has shaped Berlin today. Our guide was awesome.
Not as "rude" as you would think. Boston was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and was appropriate during delicate situations. Highly recommend!
Did this on our first day in the city to get our bearings and see some of the sites and get some more information about the area and the history. Arthur was a fantastic guide. Lots of energy and a lot of good humour but shared a really interesting information about the history of Prussia and its older rulers. Stopped for refreshment at a lovely cafe part way through. A brilliant introduction to a city where there is a lot going on!
The tour was incredibly informative. Boston was an engaging and entertaining tour guide. We had a wonderful time!
Absolutely amazing. Kai was such an amazing guide. Can't recommend this enough. Not only did he do a great job on the tour but he did it having taken the job last minute after the original guide took till. He was literally just finished another tour when he started ours but he still brought his full energy and enthusiasm! Absolutely recommend!
