Anastasia was great and we had a fabulous group! Not entirely sure what the 4 drinks were as we only got 2 but the food was great and the tour itself so much more than just the food

Itinerary
Start your tour with a typical Berlin-style Döner Kebab - a dish that’s eaten over 400,000 times every day in Berlin, paired with a Club Mate Drink.
At a welcoming Syrian-Levantine restaurant, you’ll savor metabal and Mezze, a dip made from smoked aubergine, tahini, garlic, and lemon, with a homebrewed beer, while your guide shares stories of Berlin’s recent immigrants, their integration, and how they’ve shaped local life.
Pass by one of the last remaining Berlin Squat Houses that has hosted political and educational events and activities, alongside live concerts, for nearly a decade.
Step into a trendy, neon-lit Vietnamese street food spot where you’ll try the flavorful TyTy Taco, filled with marinated chicken, pickled red onions, and sweetcorn.
This vibrant alternative complex was once an imperial rail yard, Soviet factory, and Deutsche Bahn warehouse. Today, it buzzes with art galleries, indie labels, nightclubs, beer gardens, a bouldering hall, and Berlin’s largest indoor skate park.
Visit Berlin’s most famous currywurst spot to taste the city’s iconic street food, served mit Darm (with casing), while hearing the story of how currywurst was invented and became a local legend.
Stop by a Turkish nuts and sweets shop to pick up your dessert: a bag of freshly mixed caramelised nuts, the perfect sweet-and-crunchy treat to enjoy as you end the tour.
This historic open-air art gallery centers around the longest surviving stretch of the Berlin Wall. Standing at just over 1.3 miles from end to end, each individual segment is coated in a colorful and often politically-themed mural that has been in place for over twenty years.

I would just like to express my gratitude and appreciation for Clara with providing us a unique look into the culture, food and History of Berlin. Clara was simply amazing and knowledgeable of her city and insured we could experience it along with her. She answered all our questions and walked at a very comfortable pace as we made our way around the city. A must do experience you need to do!
Clara was our guide for the tour. She contacted us days before our tour introducing herself. Once at the meeting point our tour began. Clara was so well informed and answered all our questions about Berlin and how shared her knowledge of how this city embraced all the various cultures that make this city so diverse and the food so delicious. The tour was well paced and every stop opened my eyes to food I otherwise would not have experienced. Every stop has its own unique story that she eloquently shares. She was the perfect guide for this tour.
Clara was our guide and there were just 4 of us on the tour which we loved. The food was ample, too much for my teen to finish everything. Clara explained everything clearly and we learned so much interesting history. We would recommend this tour to foodies and explorers.
A great way to explore any city and it's culture. You get to learn from a local and see many locations you may not normally visit. I've done these food tours in many cities and highly recommend them. Our tour guide, Clara, was fantastic. Knowledgeable and funny and a pleasure to explore town with; and I'm not just saying this because her mother likes to read these reviews.
Anastasia was excellent. Friendly and informative. And the food was fabulous.
A delicious way to experience East Berlin- everything we tried was top notch and our guide Anastasia was friendly, knowledgeable and offered some great recommendations for the rest of our time here in Berlin. We really enjoyed our tour!
We had a very pleasant walk with Lily. She knew much about life in Berlin and its history. The stops were interesting, the food was delicious and plentiful. In spite of the hot temperatures Lily was a breath of fres air.
Great tour with great food. I’m in Berlin solo for a weekend and the guide, Anastasia, gave me lots of recommendations of things to do in the city. East Berlin feels much more like a real city than the city center, highly recommend this tour for younger people interested in food, history, politics, music. My one note is that the instructions said to be at the meeting spot 15 minutes early, but the guide did not arrive until the tour was about to start, so if you do book the tour I’d say no need to show up early since you’ll just be waiting.
Try pray we had a Wonderful tour with Anastasia! She took us to 4 different locations with 4 different delicious type of food. She was incredibly knowable, and a very interesting person! I would absolutely recommend her! 10/10!
Wonderful guide (Anastasia) and tasty food! She taught us a lot of cultural history and was super knowledgeable.
Dear Anastasia’s mother, The Major family are proud to inform you that your daughter is an excellent steward of East Berlin and its culinary heritage. Anastasia approached our tour—not as a paid tour guide—but as a long-time friend who was showing us our way through a part of the country she loves. Anastasia took time to know us and to share some details about herself. The Aleppo Supper Club and NYOM were not only the highlights of today but also the culinary highlights of our visit in Deutschland. You should know that, despite Berlin’s weather presenting like Satan’s playground with near-record heat, Anastasia bravely traversed the lava-like concrete with a smile on her face as she taught us about East Berliner culture, history, and food. We are truly grateful for her time, expertise, and joy today.
Wonderful tour by Anastasia! Really interesting and helped our view and understanding of Berlin.
An excellent experience with a very friendly, helpful and informative guide, Anatastasia. Would highly recommend

Had a great time exploring the city with Clara! She was super nice and her insights on the city were just what we were looking for. The food and drinks were great too - definitely left full, satisfied and much more knowledgeable about the city. Thanks Clara!
What a great tour through the most beautiful and unique part of Berlin. The food selection was a perfect display of the internationality of Berlin as well as our guide’s insight on history of the city and the food. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this for anyone looking for a new and authentic perspective into the city :) Thank you Clara for an amazing tour!
What a brilliant experience! Clara’s delivery of information was absolutely outstanding. Her knowledge about the city is impressive. Berlin is a city with a lot of history and is built on immigration, this tour shows exactly that. As someone that often travels to Berlin I can say that this tour is a great example of what locals eat around here.
We had a wonderful few hours wandering east Berlin with Anastasia. We experienced Syrian, Vietnamese fusion, German and Turkish cuisines. Anastasia gave us so much information about the history of Berlin and the various cultures that add to the cities vibe. Highly recommend.
Clara was a great tour guide. She showed us around East Berlin and shared a lot of the city’s history, along with introducing us to multicultural dishes and beers from that part of town. Great experience!
Clara was our host and the walking/food tour was fabulous...a highlight of or Berlin visit. Clara was fun and knowledgeable. It was a perfect balance of walking and foodie indulgence...a great 3 hours spent in the hostoric East Berlin!!!
Excellent experience. We’ve really enjoyed food tours with Eating Europe in a number of cities and this one was no exception. Clara was a great guide and we’d recommend this tour for everyone.
I was really curious about this food your and learn a lot not just history and awesome information but things made sense in my short time there. Food was delicious not one of the friendliest groups since it was two large groups and me solo but still good peeps gracias un millon por todo it was also interesting to end up in one of the placed i had partied all night and to see it during the day I was like hey i been here lol interesting.
Clara was excellent! She was so helpful working with my food allergy and added history and tips in with the food facts! She was amazing at pushing our culinary repertoire and helping us try new things!
The food tour guide Clara was super smart and nice. Good sampling of food and lots of information about the area on the walk through the tour. Overall top notch experience.
Clara was a great tour guide! She knew the history of the area & was great to just talk with and ask questions too. The food was amazing! The beer was great! Overall we had a wonderful time.
Clara was a wonderful “host” supplying us with history of the restaurants and the areas as we sampled delicious foods that make Berlin the food Mecca that it is.
Anastasia was a great guide! The tour was in a part of the city that we had not been in yet and covered a lot of ground. We saw a lot of places that we would not have been to without the tour. Group size was small (just 4 of us) so we were able to go places that would not have accommodated larger groups. The foods were of a variety of cultures and influences in Berlin, not sterotypical "German" foods. The Doner was excellent! The currywurst was not the best I had on the trip, but hearing the background on how it was created was interesting to hear! The tour ended AT the East Side Gallery but was not included.
Clara was awesome! Her knowledge and easy going attitude made the food tour interesting. All the food tasted great too!
Clara provided an absolutely wonderful food tour experience, and a wonderful walk through history. Food was delicious!
I’m so glad I got the opportunity to take this tour. It was wonderful to spend time in East Berlin learning about that part of the city’s history, while trying delicious foods from its immigrant communities. Every food and drink item we had was delicious! I also especially appreciated getting to visit the East Side Gallery at the end of the tour. Lily was a fantastic guide for us and I highly recommend anyone visiting the city take this tour!
Very good specially the guide Klara
Despite the late start, it was a fabulous tour made better by Anastasia. Great food, great history and a lot of fun.
Co. cancelled, did not show up
It was a great tour, Anastasia was great, she talked about a lot of topics and showed us different aspects of the city. The food was great we got to try some different cuisines.
It was a very good tour. The guide, Anastasia, was so nice.
Anastasia did a fabulous job of letting us know the history and the interesting food types that have all influenced the area
Extremely enjoyable tour. Anastasia was a very knowledgeable guide who not only showed us a wide variety of delicious food but a lot of fascinating places in eastern Germany that we would never otherwise have seen or known about.
Anastasia was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and great choices for food.
Food and history - Clara was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.
Our tour did not happen. We waited 40mins before being told that our guide had had an emergency and could not attend. +1 for swift refund. Disappointing.
Nice variety of tastes. Good walk. Great history lessons. Lily provided a great overview and made the tour quite enjoyable.
Great tour with Anastasia. Food was great, lots of variety. Learnt a lot about multi cultural influences on food. Tasted new food and saw undiscovered parts of the city. Danced in the smallest club to Should I Stay or Should I Go.
We have just finished the East Berlin food and history tour. We highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Anastasia was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She made us feel comfortable and was happy to answer any questions we had. The food was incredible. I would suggest to come with an empty tummy. We had the best time.
Anastasia was an excellent tour guide! She was knowledgeable not only about East Berlin, but the foods that we ate. Do not hesitate to take this tour. The food portions are large and you will certainly not go hungry. I highly recommend this tour and hopefully you will have Anastasia as your tour guide to make it even better!
Anastasia was really kind and taught us a lots of detail of the Berliner culture. She took us in typical neighbourhood and alternative places. A true Berlin experience!
The tour was really interesting and fun. We learned a lot about the story of modern Berlin and food. Anastasia shared her knowledge with passion kindness. A really nice tour and moment!
