The PANORAMAPUNKT offers more than a grandiose 360-degree view of the capital city. The open-air exhibition “Views of Berlin at Potsdamer Platz” connects the moving and multifaceted history of this place with spectacular views of modern Berlin. Where else can one marvel at the past in informative presentation panels, then turn 180 degrees to survey the present in person? Also fantastic, the entirely glass-walled Panorama cafe on the 24th floor to enjoy the impressions with a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of cake. One level higher, also one in autumn- and wintertime can watch the sun goes down over the West Berlin skyline from the vantage of the sun terrace and enjoy the most beautiful sky over Berlin.

We visited yesterday the weather was cloudy but you still decent 360 views over Berlin and the coffee's at the observation level cafe was just what was needed on such a cold day
So pleased we visited here on our trip to Berlin. The views are amazing. We were very lucky yesterday and had a beautiful sunny day. We loved looking for all the places we’d been in Berlin. We hadn’t realised just how big Tiergarten Park is. It was lovely to see from above. Very cost effective. It was really interesting to look at the story of Berlin in the exhibition, including the fall of the wall in 1989. I can remember the scenes pictured in the exhibition from the tv. Recommended.
Great views, but €9 each is too much. We finished looking at the views after 15 minutes. Also, having to also pay for the toilet is poor service. The lady attending the toilet was also very rude. Disappointed.
If you didn’t manage to get a spot for the Bundestag dome or just want a higher vantage point, Panoramapunkt is definitely worth a visit. The ride to the viewing platform is impressively fast – it’s Europe’s fastest elevator – and the views from the top are stunning. There are two levels of platforms, with clear info panels explaining what you’re looking at. When I visited, there was also a small exhibition on site. I went a bit late in the day, but I’d recommend visiting earlier to enjoy the café at the top – it’s a great place to sit with a coffee and take in the full view of Berlin.
A brilliant way to get amazing views of Berlin and much cheaper than "TV Tower"! No queues and helpful and friendly staff. A very fast lift to the top! There is a cafe at the top although we did not take advantage of it.
Felt very safe, views were great, not too crowded, staff friendly, cafe expensive but service was good. Could spend as long as you liked looking at the views.
The views are great, and there is a nice cocktail bar on the top, but 27.50 euros for a ticket is too much, in my opinion. Overpriced.
Used the Berlin Welcome Card for this. Only discounted by €1 from 9 to 8. Was told this was the correct discount. Given a pamphlet and told this was free with admission price. The view is OK. Checked my Berlin Welcome Card book and discount should be 33%. Queried this with staff and told that we were charged €3 for “free” pamphlet and thus discount was from €12 to €9. Clearly they are lying and cheating their customers. Do not bother; it’s not worth it anyway.
On reading how expensive the Fernsehturm was to visit, and how busy and packed it could be, we decided to visit Panoramapunkt instead, for a third of the price. It’s really just the top two floors of a very tall building directly on Potsdamer Platz, but the fact that you’re whisked up to the top in mere seconds in, apparently, Europe’s fastest lift and the views all over the city are excellent, made it very worth our time. The viewing area goes all round the building, so you can see Berlin from all directions. In addition, there were interesting displays showing what the area was like before and after the war. We stayed about an hour (we didn’t bother with the café) and thought it was a great experience and pretty good value at only 7 or 8 Euros each, which included a couple of Euros discount if you have a Welcome Card. There is a ‘VIP’ option which allows you to skip any queue for the lift, but when we visited in the mid afternoon of a weekday in August, there was nobody waiting at all, so it was unnecessary to consider being ‘very important’! Recommended.
We decided to check this viewing platform out on a Wednesday evening at 6pm, it cost us 9 euros each. They told us that the last lift down from the platform would be at 6.50pm which was more than enough time for us. We would have loved to have got a drink at the platform but the cafe was closed as we were so late. It was golden hour so the photos and videos we took turned out really lovely. There must have been maybe 15 people total there when we went, so there was plenty of room - i imagine if large groups were up there it would get quite busy so i feel like we timed it right. The platform is covered by metal caging so it feels a bit precarious holding your phone out through the bars but just be careful. We thought it was great value for money and a lovely calm activity with a breeze to end a busy and hot day in berlin. Would highly recommend.
Very interesting views from the top. Would have given a 5 star review, but I think it's unfair to pay for toilets after paying for admission and spending in the cafe.
24 floors in 20 seconds was OK but the real gem is Berlin’s history in black & white. The rebuild of Potsdamer Platz below in the 1990’s is architecturally brilliant. The views show how flat the City is and better views than a city bus tour.
The person at the ticket counter didn't recognise the voucher that Viator sent us and the 'tower' was not much more than a tall office block. Views restricted by iron fence. Really disappointed.
Lovely staff, especially the cafe waiter who was friendly, chatty and interested in hearing about our trip plans. Reasonably priced and delicious gateaux and coffee. Views are amazing and you are welcome to take your time appreciating them.
This was a good alternative to the TV tower which I thought was expensive, Panoramapunkt had a nice cafe where you had amazing views of the city and the information boards on the viewing areas were very informative
They don't even deserve the 1 star! This tour operator is very irresponsible. I arrived at the venue only to find out that the activity has been postponed for a week. The tour company failed to send an email, text or placed a call informing me of the same before I travelled all the way to Berlin. A total disappointment.
We decided to visit here when in the area so went to buy tickets to be told the fast elevator was under maintenance so a different one would be used to take us to the top. Shame because it would have been interesting to see how fast it felt but we still went up anyway to get the views. You got a good view in all directions and the whole building was brick built and an unusual shape to it was good to see that too. It was still worth it, even without Europe's fastest elevator!
Great views of Berlin after fast elevator ride. Also very interesting photos and history exhibit of Berlin at the top.
Good views of the city and friendly staff. Also had information boards to tell you what the places were
A inexpensive trip up the fastest lift in Europe and a great view of Berlin. Lovely staff especially the lady manning the lift getting everyone up to the top in a very friendly and efficient way. We stopped in the cafe for a drink this was very relaxing and again with great views. We would recommend you visit if in Berlin.
Staff were friendly, views just arent that amazing but not sure the Berlin skyline is that impressive anyway save for the TV tower.
Great way to spend an hour and get you bearings in Berlin. True birds eye view. Kiosk staff helpful (we were a few minutes late as we had trouble finding our way in!), speedy ascent and 360 degrees view of Berlin. Fascinating wall boards around the viewing gallery with some fab photos of hotels in Potsdam in their heyday. Didn’t have anything to eat in cafe but cake looked good!
A fantastic view of Berlin ..... we were lucky to have a clear day so we could see for miles. It's expensive but the view makes up for it. The cafe however was unfriendly and unwelcoming. The staff were unnecessarily rude when I tried to converse in my basic German
The ride in the small dark lift was nothing special. The views similar to those from the Reichstag building which is free - felt ripped off.
This is the place to visit if you are nearby Potsdamer platz and want to see Berlin from "up above". A fast elevator took us up to the top, and here ypu can enjoy the 365° view from to floors. The top floor have a toilet av view, and the first of the topp to floors have a café and some story boards that take you thru some if the history behind rebuilt of the Potzdamer platz after the fall of the Berlin wall.
Much more affordable than the Berlin TV Tower, and making up for its lesser height by being more centrally located (though one direction of your view is blocked by the Deutsche Bahn building, sadly), this panorama point provides nice views of the city. There is a very pleasant caffe one floor down for after you get tired or cold of enjoying the sights. We felt very happy when we visited it at sunset! No need to buy any tickets for it ahead of time, you can buy them on the spot at the ground floor.
Also called Kollhof tower. Hard to find the entrance because of the construction work. You take the elevator up and enjoy the view. Be aware - the cafeteria does not accept bank card - only cash - hard to believe and they dont tell you - although there is a sign but it can be missed. Great view. OK service, on the level with most in Berlin..
It has a great view over Berlin and it is much cheaper then the TV tower. If don't want to spend that much money this place is a better choice.
We visited here in July on our last morning in Berlin. It was a 5 minute walk from our hotel and tickets were £9 each which was an absolute bargain! Lovely experience, great views of the city. We had tickets booked for 10am and it was nice and quiet during our visit so could take our time to go round and enjoy the views!
The staff was nice and helpful. The elevator is really fast but you do not even notice the acceleration. The view from the platform is nice but not knicker ripping. Better go to the BerlinerDom. The view is "better" and you get more for the money. The café is overrated. Cake is average and the staff overwhelmed. Very expensive for what you get. We would not go there again.
Purchased a ticket in advance and had one of the first time slots. The views are very impressive with the best views towards Alexanderplatz and the Berlinfernsehturm.Depending on where you are standing you can also see the Brandenburg Tor and the Sony centre roof from above Also managed to see the the sightseeing ballon go up and down. Views of the tiergarten are limited by the DB building. Whilst the metal fence blocks a good people portrait I was able to get my DSLR lens through the gaps. At the time I went up it was a beautiful cloudless sunny day.
The view is good but NOT as advertised by their poster!! Surely this is a case of a breach of trading standards - in the UK it would be!
Perhaps it is just that Berlin doesn't look that amazing from above to begin with, when compared to European cities that were not leveled to rubbles. But overall the view up there was just really meh. According to the elevator driver, it is the fastest one in Europe. True or not, it really doesn't bring any impactful factors on the value of the tour itself. The texts explaining the history of the plaza itself in the 20th century are well put together.
Fast elevator lift to the top. Great views across Berlin, admission price is worth it, and very accessible by train and u-bahn at Potsdamer Platz
As most reviewers have said, views are great and it is cheaper than the TV tower. We did both. It was a bit overcast the day we went but it didn't detract from the view. No queues and we spent time looking at the exhibition, which was very interesting. There is a cafe there too so you can defrost on a chilly day!
In 20sec up to the 24th floor! Accessible for el. wheelchair, also the bar where you can drink and eat something. Downstairs there is an accessible and adapted toilet. 6€for disabled people and assistance. I surely recommend this!
We visited the Panoramapunkt on a Friday afternoon & there was no waiting line. We could go up immediately after arrival. People were friendly, views over the city were nice, not to forget the cafetaria on top where we enjoyed coffee & cake.
The views from here of the city are really nice, plus it is cheaper than the tv tower and you can see the tv tower from up there so win win.
One of best vantage points of Berlin you'll find. This offers great views in every direction. Great way to see the layout of the city and orient yourself on the layout and history of the area. Can even see former Tempelhof airfield in the distance. Worth the price. There's also a cafe area where you can grab snacks and a beer. Easy, relaxing activity where you can see the city, grab a beer, and recharge.
We visited Panoramapunkt on May 28th, tickets reasonably priced, no queue. Staff very friendly, lift very fast. Fantastic views across Berlin, Lovely cafe with views across the city. Well worth a visit
Cheaper than the TV tower and the view is just as good. The staff are nice and they guide you up the fastest life in Europe. You also get a discount if you have the Welcome Card - which I recommend as well.
Great views of Berlin, has a cafe which is reasonably priced. We stopped here for lunch, had a good spot by the window overlooking Berlin. The quiche was excellent, best I've ever had.
A wonderful and unique view from Berlim City. I love to spend time and take photos there. Visit a photo museum from Berlim and take a cup of coffee at the restaurant. Never forget it! :)))
There are other more hyped and more expensive places, however, we were close and decided to give it a try since it was cheaper. Thanks. But could it stay without? I think so.
Fantastic viewpoint over all of Berlin at a height of 100m.
Sure, here is a short positive review: The observation deck at Potsdamer Platz offers an impressive view over Berlin. ⛅️⛅️⛅️ The view is fantastic, especially in good weather, and the atmosphere is pleasant. A wonderful experience for visitors and locals – absolutely recommended!
360-degree viewing platform at about 100 m altitude on the Kollhoff Tower at Potsdamer Platz. Spectacular is not only the breathtaking view over Berlin, but also the fastest elevator in Europe, with which you can reach the viewpoint. In 20 seconds go from 0 to 100 (meters) - that's fast! In addition to the magnificent views, there is also an outdoor exhibition that takes place around the building on the 24th floor. Floor leads.
In fine weather and good visibility an absolute must. Centrally located on Potsdamer Platz. I've been there several times.
Too bad , Berlin has little GREEN and build everything. Not nice should take an example from Hamburg , or Leipzig . It's also good for the climate.
