What a fantastic experience! We had a wonderful young guide who took us around the neighbourhood, introducing us to some great restaurants and hidden gems along the way. The tour was incredibly enjoyable, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about Berlin, its history, neighbourhoods and local culture. He was enthusiastic, engaging and made the whole experience even more special. This tour gave us a completely new perspective on Berlin and its surrounding neighbourhoods, showing us a side of the city we might never have discovered on our own. I honestly can't praise this experience enough. One of the highlights of our visit to Berlin. Highly, highly recommended!

Itinerary
We meet at Kotti (Kottbusser Tor) right in the centre of vibrant Kreuzberg. After a short introduction you will have a broad overview of the history and lifestyle of this special place in Berlin. Kreuzberg was founded as a typical working class neighbourhood in the middle of the 19th century. The people always fell on hard times here. They lived in huge building complexes, some of them in the fifth or sixth backyard. We discover these places in Oranienstraße and try to imagine life back in the days, when it was almost imposible to breathe fresh air; when many people didn’t rent a whole flat or a room, but an 8 hours-stay on a matress. Obviously, most people of the working class had (radical) left-wing views. So Kreuzberg logically turned into a critical neighbourhood with constant demonstrations – escalations included. Your guide is looking forward to show you the most important historic places and will forge a bridge to today’s every-day life and style in modern Kreuzberg. This place is a melting-pot for people of all provenances, opinions, lifestyles, sexualities and incomes. On our way through the streets and history of the quarter, we meet the former GDR traffic-light men, visit SO36, the place of May Day March demonstrations, listen to dramatic reports of attempts to escape GDR, remember Martin Luther King’s visit in 1964 – and we get to know Berlin’s Jack the Ripper. In the meantime, we enjoy exquisite snacks in selected restaurants of the neighbourhood. People who love to travel know, that discovering new countries and cultures unconditionally means trying the local food. And we prefer to try various dishes instead of one big meal! With this varied selection, we intent to represent Kreuzberg’s multicultural and innovative spirit. You will try original Berlin recipes, intercultural crossover dishes and international delicatessen. The way to your heart is through your stomach... So after three hours, you will see Kreuzberg from many different points of view. And you might understand why Kreuzberg is the most vibrant place to be in Berlin. After this culinaric and cultural experience, you are definatley prepared to start your next adventure in Kreuzberg and enjoy the glittering nightlife.

This should be called a food sampling tour. The five places put sweets between savouries and with six of us, they were skinny on the food. Our guide, Dan, however was fantastic .
I enjoyed this food tour! We had several tastings in Berlin Kreuzberg. I recommend this tour to all visitors.
Excellent alternative Berlin food tour. Great value for money. All the food stops were fantastic. And our guide Natalia was great…esp as we had booked ourselves onto a German tour and not English!
It was very well organized, it tasted and very informative..The group was very nice. Although there were only three of us.
The guide didn't show up. We haven't been notified. After all, the costs were quickly reimbursed.
Great tour with sympathetic guide (Nike) who brought a great knowledge loosely across. Food stations were great.
Very nice young guide who was happy to answer all questions and brought us closer to Berlin again. Would highly recommend this tour.
We were a small group of 8 people. Dan, our young guide gave us a great afternoon with lots of interesting information and culinary delights. So, although we were Berliners, we learned a lot about the Kreuzberg district and its people. Thanks for that!
Really highly recommended!!! Top guide with love for his city. He showed us some restaurants where we could try each one. He always gave a nice story about the neighborhood and its people
It was an absolute highlight! From minute 1, the young lady who guided us was so friendly, open-minded and full of exciting and funny stories about Kreuzberg that we were happy to listen the whole time. The little snacks aren't filling, but they were incredibly varied and all tasted fantastic! I can really recommend this tour to everyone, it's something completely different! Unfortunately, I've forgotten the name of our guide (young, German/Mexican?), but her open and sometimes satirical manner made the whole thing even better! Thank you for this experience and a tour that didn't feel like a school trip!
Really good trip with excellent guide and delicious tastings. Good atmosphere, exciting guidance on the walk between the different restaurants by our guide Dan and really delicious food.
There were four of us on the tour and we were in a small group. We live in Berlin and I have to say that the tour is worthwhile for both tourists and locals. Dan had a lot of background information and the restaurants he chose were great and representative of the area. We were all very satisfied.
Natalia had a very wide range of knowledge about Kreuzberg. She explained the special features of the district and its history to us in a very vivid way. She obviously enjoyed it herself. The food was very typical for the restaurants, tasted delicious and was well chosen. We were simply delighted!
Sometimes very interesting, but sometimes we had to wait for the guide. The tastings were good, the types of cuisine varied.
We made the Tour Kreuzberg culinary. It was very informative and the tastings in the 5 different restaurants were delicious. Our guide has told interesting stories about buildings and squares
I had given my best friend a day of Berlin for her birthday and I had actually planned to book the culinary food tour in Berlin Mitte. This was cancelled due to illness of the tour guide and we were rebooked on the tour “Kreuzberg”. Very quickly, however, I had let myself be positive. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the tour. The guide Martin, was very personable, resident in Kreuzberg and the food was totally delicious. We learned a lot about Kreuzberg and can definitely recommend the tour to friends and family.
We were lucky enough to be a small group of 6 people! Our guide Debbie led us through the district at a pleasant pace and told us matching, super interesting and exciting stories! The tour is exciting and recommended for both Berliners and non-Berliners!
We did the tour with Rebecca as a foursome. This allowed a lot of time and opportunity to talk about Kreuzberg individually. Rebecca has guided us great, has been very open about her personal relationship with the district, it was a lot of fun. The restaurants were also well selected, typical of the neighborhood. However, the term “culinary” is then quite stretchable: 3x high, 2x low. In any case, however, recommended, especially because of Rebecca.
Our guide Rebecca was great. We learned interesting things about Kreuzberg. The food was delicious, the restaurants were well selected. I can recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a deeper insight into the Kreuzberg neighbourhood.
