Great experience with Benjamin. We tried all the local food and also a history lesson on where these foods originated. We went with our two school age children and they loved it too. Lots of stops at restaurants bakeries and drink shops, made it so fun and interactive. There was one other guest on the tour. It is nice to walk thru the neighborhood of Prenzlauer berg. Thank you Benjamin!

Tiago was awesome. He took us to some great spots - interspersed with good amount of walking which was sorely needed - and we were stuffed by the end. Excellently paced, good commentary from our knowledgeable guide and gave us great recommendations for more food during the rest of our stay! Make sure you come hungry! Absolutely worth it.
This was a fantastic tour! Our guide, Lee, was full of local knowledge, and picked places that were fun and tasty. Each place has a story, either about the food, or the restaurant itself. And as we walked he told us about the neighborhoods we were in, and lots of the history. So glad we took this tour!
A small group of us (family), met in Berlin for the marathon (me running, and the rest to support). We booked this tour based on reviews and the neighborhood that my brother’s family was staying in. Tiago met us and we went on an easy stroll, stopping at several places to taste and try local dishes. The tasting and walking was an easy pace, Tiago explained and shared many interesting facts on the architecture, the history, the food and the people of Berlin. We enjoyed this so much, we were all talking about it for the rest of the day. Highly recommend this tour if you have a few hours in the morning.
We picked this tour over others perhaps closer to central Berlin, because we were staying in Prenzlauer Berg. The expectation, because Prenzlauer Berg is an artsy/trendy neighborhood with ties still to the prior generation, is that this tour would highlight both classic food plus new and inventive cuisine. I understand the tour guides have some flexibility in where to go, so your mileage may vary. We started with a KetWurst, a portmanteau of the words Ketchup and Wurst. Interestingly, the presentation is a wurst in a hollowed out bun, not sliced, and loaded with Ketchup. Good bun too. Next was Bekerei, a Portuguese bakery (from where our tour guide, Tiago, orginates!), where we enjoyed some classic pastries (filled doughnuts, cheesecake, etc.) and some with a Portuguese flair. Happies came next, a place serving Bao (Chinese style buns) but with creative fillings and sauces. Very attractive presentations too. We followed that up with a falafel wrap at Habba Habba (Palestinian cuisine), very fresh and delicious with the wrap nicely crisped. We ended with our choice of cinnamon roll or ice cream, and we all voted unanimously for ice cream at the Hokey Pokey. The Hokey Pokey has several locations, this one was on Oderberger Strasse (next to our apartment!). They have inventive flavors of ice cream, such as my selection of poppy seed/marzipan flavored ice cream. I may have missed a stop or two, but hopefully this gives you the gist of the tour. We felt quite full afterwards so you needn't worry about getting enough food. During our walk through the neighborhood, Tiago pointed out several locations and topics of both historical and current events. Among them were the KulturBrauwerei, a huge facility once devoted to beer making (must have made a lot!) now it's a venue for shopping and activities, kind of like Industry City in NYC, if that helps. We stopped at the Gethsemanekirche, a Protestant church with a strong tradition of advocacy for political prisoners. Also we learned the meaning of the small brass plaques you might see on the sidewalk outside some buildings, they contain the name of people persecuted by the Nazis and their eventual fate (e.g. escape or concentration camp). The tour was an excellent mix of cuisine, history, and the possibilities for the near future.
Dimitrios was our guide and met us, and quickly explained a bit about the tour and in no time we were sampling some great foods. His curated tour started with our introduction to Ketwurst and a side order of history. Throughout our tour, Dimitrios gave us ample information on the neighborhoods as well ambled through them as well as the historical significance of many locations. The steamed buns at häppies, were not to be missed and Dimitrios even provided an addition virtually map of his other spots in the city.
We did the vegan walking tour in Berlin. Our tour guide, Simon, shared a lot of history and anecdotes about the area as well as the food. He was great at answering questions and customizing certain items (since we were the only family on the tour). This was a really interesting experience, and the food was delicious. We were otherwise staying in Mitte and would not have had reason to go to Prenzlauer Berg, and it was great to see this charming neighborhood in a local way.
We had a lovely outing with the affable and knowledgeable Tiago, who took us to his favorite eating spots, where we were able to sample many of the great flavors of Berlin.
We had a wonderful time walking around Berlin with our guide Tiago. The food was delicious, no matter where we went, especially the buns at häppies. Tiago supplied an overview of the history of neighborhoods and the food. He happily answered any of our questions about Berlin as well, which helped us get our bearings.
Great way to learn some history of Berlin and enjoy local food and cafes. Violet was the best guide!
I have to say Berlin is not the foodie capital of the world- it has other highlights- but this was still one of my favourite food tours, and I’ve been on a lot, because of our guide Dimitrous… super lovely, lots of great info (he’s doing his masters in archaeology) and just the best person spend an afternoon wandering around Prenzlauerberg! Thanks so much for making our afternoon!!
The walking tour was great! We visited parts of Berlin I have never seen. And, we tried foods I would have never thought to order - or found. Our guide Lee made it very fun ad adjusted for our desires.
We went to different locally owned restaurants.Try different foods. The coffee shop was great. I would definitely go again.
Absolutely loved this tour! Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about Berlin's history, making the experience and food we tasted even more enjoyable. One of my favorite stops was a hidden gem serving innovative German homemade dumplings. A truly delicious experience with amazing food, incredible variety, and fantastic guides. Thank you!
This was a fun eating tour that covered places that we would never have found on our own. Lee, our guide, did a great job of explaining the food and the related history.
A lovely time with Marcel as our guide. Our group was only 5 people, making conversation and question easy as we tasted freshly made food at the local stops. Marcel gave much information about Berlin’s progress over the years both socially and politically…interesting and compelling. My favorites were Hokey Pokey Ice cream and the falafel!!! So good!!
We loved our Fork and Walk Tour with Marcel—-he shared the history of the Prezlauernerg area and delicious savory and sweet treats. He set a relaxed pace and room for conversation. We all wished we had more room in our tummies!!
I highly recommend this tour. We went with Holger on a journey through time with food as our touchstone. All the places we went were stellar. What especially appreciated was the ease with with Holger jumped between languages (German and English) making all of us feel included.
Excellent tour. Lee, our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly and informative. Go hungry. There is a lot of food to sample . Good experience!
Loved the food tour! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We started off with grabbing a drink in a convenience store, then it was basically food after food every 20 minutes! After a hearty delicious lunch, our group decided to split the next few food dishes. It was quite an experience as we were absolutely stuffed, but at the same time we knew this was a food tour, so food was the main highlight of the tour. We ended with drinks at a bar, which was a nice touch to the end of the tour.
The perfect tour. Our guide, Tiago, was extremely knowledgeable about the locality and the food. The area we explored was beautiful and surprisingly quiet. The food was outstanding and we experienced some new and interesting tastes.
It was a wonderful experience for our group of colleagues/friends! The food and walks in-between were very enjoyable! Thank you Alec for being such an amazing guide ☀️
Got to sample a variety of street food. The photos for the tour on the website seem to imply much fancier food. Had a "taste off" of a couple of popular beers. Had two kinds of wurst, a mango drink, some baked goods.
Our food tour was great! Violeta, our guide, was highly knowledgeable about the neighborhood and the wider city. She was exceedingly personable and helpful, giving us a lively and energetic tour. She offered us a variety of tasty and interesting foods, and even bought us beers that we were able to sip as we walked through the neighborhood. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyane.
Oh my! I really LOVE a food tour. It's the perfect way to explore a city, ask questions and eat a range of different treats. Elena was fantastic. She properly made me laugh (later found out she's a trained actress and it fits - she's so expresive and engaging!) We were the only ones on the tour (because it's January!) which meant we could ask lots of questions and speak to the lovely American fella who came along because he's training to be a tour guide too. The four of us had a brilliant time. All of the stops were slightly different and had a story of why they featured. The falafel is still one of the best things I've eaten! Brilliant. Highly recommend!
My boyfriend and I always try to do a food tour when we visit new places, and this was top-notch. Great mix of sweet and savory and a diverse set of cultures. Our guide, Elena, was AWESOME! The group just ended up being us three, and she was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. She gave us lots of great recommendations for food and more in Berlin for the remainder of our time here!
Great tour with Elena. I've been to Berlin dozens of times over the years and still learnt a lot on the tour. I was also stuffed at the end after visiting some cool new spots in the city that I'll definitely come back to! Thanks Elena!
My wife and I had the opportunity to tour Berlin with Holger privately and he was amazing. We recently moved to the city but were amazed at how much history and character we still didn’t know about. Thanks to Holger, he showed us some hidden gems and gave plenty of great food recommendations beyond the several places we ate it. And the places we ate it were very diverse and tasty. Our favorite was Kebab with Attitude and the donut shop. Holger shared so much about Berlin’s rich history and what made it the city it is today - thanks for a great day!
Berlin, we thought we knew you, but this food tour revealed a whole new world of tastes! 🌆🌮 Picture this: A hidden alley filled with the sizzle of the grill, the aroma of perfectly seasoned bratwurst wafting through the air, and the excitement of foodies uniting. It was a Berliner's dream come true! 🌭😋 Then came the surprise that rocked our taste buds: the best-kept doner kebab spot in Berlin. We can't tell you where it is, but you NEED to find out! 🌯✨ And oh, the sweets! We found a hidden gem of a bakery that churned out pastries so picturesque, they deserved a gallery. Every bite felt like a little piece of heaven! 🍰📸 What made this tour extra special? The incredible people we met, and of course, our fearless guide, Violetta. She was like our culinary compass, guiding us through Berlin's hidden flavors and stories. 🍽️🗺️ This isn't just a food tour; it's an edible treasure hunt. Each bite was a clue, leading us deeper into Berlin's gastronomic mysteries. If you've got a curious palate, you HAVE to be a part of this adventure. 🕵️♀️🍽️ We can't spill all the secrets, but we can say this: if you're up for an unforgettable journey through Berlin's culinary soul, guided by the amazing Violetta, this food tour is the key to unlocking flavors you never knew existed. Don't miss out on the best-kept secrets of Berlin's food scene!
Our tour guide, Elena, saved the day providing city insights on a food tour which highlighted that Berlin is not really known for the finest cuisine, but for the melting pot of other nations’ food and the use of organic and natural ingredients. Considering that mainly street food and beer was included in the tour, this one’s a little on the expensive side.
Great tour with Tiago on a hot day in the sun. Took us to places that we wouldn’t have found and showed us some great food whilst sharing his knowledge of the city & its people. Great to share our experiences with the others in the group who made it so enjoyable. Would highly recommend this
This was a first for us and we don’t regret it one bit! The food, the city and the tour guide Tiago made for such an enjoyable experience. Leisurely strolls, good chat and lovely food. What more could you want? If we are in Berlin again, we will definitely be signing up!
Very fun way to try great versions of iconic Berlin foods! We walked to see beautiful streets and a park along the way.
Absolutely outstanding tour! Would recommend highly to anyone who’s got a few hours to spare in Berlin!!
The gentleman from Portugal was so kind and knowledgeable. He spoke of his career which coincided well with the beginning of mine. We bonded over that and the marvelous foods of Berlin.
Food was exceptional! Tour guide was engaging and gave a good background on the history of the food we tried. I highly recommend this tour.
The tour was well organized and thought out. Our guide, Holger was excellent. He knew the area very well, spoke great English and had a good understanding of regional politics and of course, the food and drink.
Very informative guide , excellent food stops - Donors were sehr gut . Nice walks between , good historical info about area from our friendly guide
An absolutely outstanding tour. Our guide, Holger, was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and went above and beyond in recommending further spots for eating and drinking. The food stops were all superb and carefully thought out to get the best experience. This has added so much to our trip and we’ve never experienced a tour with as much added value as this. Make sure you get the truffle kebab at the Kebap with Attitude.
We were a group of ten people, celebrating my birthday. We had the most nicest guide, Holger, which took us for a four hour roundtrip in Berlin. The nicest backyards and a lot of local tastings. Holger was very enthusiastic and had a lot of knowledge about Berlin and it's history. We had the best time!
Tiago was amazing! Brilliant food and great historical facts. Favourite food was the beef kebabs with truffles.
Tiago was very informative and all different varieties of food to eat Even the weather didn’t spoil the day Thank you
Our guide, Tiago, was great! He took us through some of the neighbourhoods north and west of Hackescher Markt, including an amazing array of alleys with a lot of Berlin’s famed street art. We sampled the famous Currywurst as well as Berliner donuts and a couple of delicious kebab plates. Final stop was a tasting of local beer. Berlin is a very cosmopolitan city, and its cuisine definitely reflects that!
Nice food tour and a bit of insight into Berlin culture scene. Biggest highlights - currywurst and Berliner donuts!
Traversed a good portion of the city in the Mitte district sampling not only German food but some international cuisine as well. Tour guide was very friendly and informative. Get your steps while having some tasty treats. Arrive with an empty stomach.
The whole experience was enjoyable taking us to new places and enjoying new foods. Between food stops there was interesting historical snippets about east Berlin. There was a good mix of savoury, sweet and beer. The tour ran long which was a good thing for us as we had the time but it was because our guide answered questions and thought on his feet when shop was closed on arrival so we did something else instead. Holger our guide was engaging and informative and enthusiastic in his delivery. We would recommend.
There was some confusion with the booking company which emailed us the wrong location, but we were able to meet up without missing any of the stops. Holger was such an excellent guide and super informative. It felt like we had an historical walking tour along with the food stops. And he was very flexible when some businesses had randomly closed for a period to make sure we didn’t miss anything at all. Such a great tour and excellent guide. I would recommend.
The Fork and Walk tour was my first experience with food tours ever, and what an amazing first experience I had. The food was great (and there was a lot). We went through some classics and some fusion cuisine, all of them equally as flavorful, by the end I couldn't pick my favourite. Between stops we passed through some beautiful streets and saw some incredible street arts and architecture. Tiago, our guide, was a perfect host, full of stories, full of tips, full of insights and a polyglot (which contributed to a more smooth experience). I couldn't recommend more.
Brilliant morning with Violet, showing us a mix of new and old cuisine options. She took time and attention to understand what we like and then also offered us great reccomendations on future restaurants to try in Berlin. Couldn't reccomend highly enough to get a great flavour of the city
Highly recommend it! Not touristic places but unique! Also really good food! We loved it! Great activity for teams and friends.
