This two hour WWII and Cold War walking tour by Original Berlin Walks was just about the right length for a walking tour on a very hot day and covered all the highlights without feeling rushed. Our guide, Dylan, was very interesting and engaging and dealt with the topic with sensitivity. He clearly was very knowledgeable in the subject area and was able to answer questions with depth and breadth. The group size was not too large either so it was easy to hear Dylan and felt more personal. This tour is ideal for first timers to Berlin with an interest in history. The price of the tour was very reasonable and good value for money. Would definitely recommend.
We did this tour with Leon and he was absolutely amazing! Very informative and friendly, we learnt loads and would definitely recommend.
Excellent tour! Thank you, Beny!
Leon was a delight, very informative and let us enjoy the tour at a good pace with the warmer conditions
Good knowledgeable guide. Spoke good English in fact an American
Fabulous, informative. Julia was very knowledgeable and made my experience memorable
This was an excellent tour. Rebecca, our guide, was very informative and happy to answer questions. She also supplemented the information with helpful illustrations and photographs.
We went on the two hour express tour and we were lucky that we were the only two on the tour. We had Will as our guide and he was hugely knowledgeable and very entertaining and we both learnt a lot. Felt more like a personal conversation than your average tour. Would definitely recommend, particularly as we used the Berlin Welcome Card, all inclusive.
A really great tour by our guide Theo, it was relaxed & not rushed at all! Showed us all the main/ famous or perhaps infamous sights predominantly from the second World war & important locations post WW2 during the cold war. Again Theo was great, answered any questions we had & although it was all on foot it wasn’t strenuous at all as we had lots of stops at the historic locations! The two hours flew by!
Great tour by wonderful tour guide Steve. Interesting and in-depth tour. Steve was the perfect guide, while arriving in Berlin early that morning and very tired, Steve was understanding and ensured the tour finished on time as I was very restricted on time. Thank you Steve for a great experience.
Very informative and interesting tour. We arrived in Berlin and booked on a tour the same day, with the view of getting an idea of what we would like to visit in more depth. Theo was a fantastic guide and really knew his stuff. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting Berlin do this tour
Wonderful experience! Guide is extremely knowledgeable about the city, keeps the tour very interesting, and one of the best so far from traveling Europe. Would do again!
Giles was a really excellent guide and very knowledgeable. We did the 2 hour express world war II and cold war tour as a family.
Beny was a fabulous guide. So genuine and invested in history being spoken, shared and felt. Despite having lived in Berlin in the past, I learned more about its history and stories to pin important places with feeing and response. Would definitely recommend and hope others may grow their depth of understanding also. Thanks Beny, really appreciated your time and mind.
Jörg was very knowledgeable and friendly, and had a positive vibe about him. Showing some well-hidden spots such as the location of Hitler's bunker in a residential courtyard was a nice surprise. Recommended.
Very informative and educational. Ryan was very good and pleasant to talk with, he knows the information very well and was very informative. I would recommend to a friend.
Amanda was an amazing guide in Berlin! For anyone who’s “too lazy” to read all the history, she gives a short but full two-hour crash course that’s packed with interesting facts, funny stories, and entertaining insights—without ever feeling overwhelming. She’s knowledgeable, engaging, and makes the city truly come alive. Highly recommend!
Our guide, Emma, had a wealth and depth of knowledge on the political history of Berlin and her love and enthusiasm for the subject shone through. She was animated throughout and always kept our attention. She had a lovely, inclusive style and her wit and humour helped us to understand what, at times, was an emotionally difficult subject to comprehend. Each stop was well timed and two hours was the perfect length of time - you can only take in so much information in one go. We felt we had learned a lot by the end and only wish we had more days in Berlin to follow this up with visits to more museums and memorials. Would thoroughly recommend this tour.
The tour guide is very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour took exactly 2 hours. The group wasn't very crowded. We started briefly from the early history and dived deep into the 2. World War era and the Cold War afterwards. She took questions often and was a good storyteller. Definitely recommending it.
It was a great tour. The Guide, Padraic, (if I spelt it right) was fantastic. Very interesting and thoughtful-provoking. Saw a lot.
The lady was great story teller. She explained from persian time to current time. I have understand whole story within half an hour.
Very informative and engaging! Julia is very knowledgeable. She added funny anecdotes throughout, but also emphasized the seriousness of the history.

The Jewish memorial since it you couldnt know what it was if you didnt get explained, and also that where the Hitler bunker is, it is just a parking lot for people not to remember it

Epic value for money! We did the 3.5 hour history tour through East Berlin until Checkpoint Charlie with Rohan — a talented, eloquent, knowledgeable and entertaining guide who retained an impressive level of energy for the whole tour. He answered every question with facts and dates like a living library. Legend. We learnt so much — absolutely worth the money. Couldn’t recommend this walking tour enough!
Steve was a very good guide - he gave us in 2h the big picture from the birth of Germany up to the wall in a swift way - danke Steve!
