We have done several of these tours and they usually offer samples of the food. This particular tour offered the whole item. It was too much food to really enjoy each item. We should have shared the brat, the donot and the kabob.

Itinerary
Embark on this culinary journey in the German capital with us. You will explore the Mitte district, which once was divided in two by the famous Berlin Wall, and you will try a multitude of flavours, which have made Berlin a city to discover through your taste buds, as well! Please, notice that the tastings here described may change due to the season and the availability of our partners.
We will start our tour in one of the most famous squares in the world, Alexanderplatz, with the iconic Berliner Fernsehturm, the Television Tower. From here, you will take a walk across the Mitte district with our local expert and have a taste of some of the most beloved dishes in Berlin, starting from a staple of German cuisine: Currywurst!
Have a seat in this eclectic restaurant and try one of the most famous dishes in town: doner kebab! Here you will discover how this dish - originally from Turkey - has become one of the staples of Berlin cuisine, with a lot of contemporary variants as well.
Germany is well-known for its beer, so we can't lead you through Berlin flavours without a beer tasting in a local brewery. Here, in a local brewery near Hackescher Markt, you will have a sip of different local beers and each one of them has its own particular characteristics. Which one will be your favourite?
You will finish your culinary journey on a sweet note, with one of the most famous German dessert: the Berliner Krapfen. WWith its jam filling and a sprinkle of sugar on top, it's the perfect way to end your experience in Berlin!

SO MUCH FOOD! It was great. Food, beer, donuts. We even got stickers and a Polaroid photo.
Marta was absolutely fabulous! She was very friendly and thorough in her knowledge. All of the food was delicious! She left us with some recommendations for the rest of our time in Berlin. 5 out of 5 stars
Great tour with a great guide. Good local spots of both history and food and the history behind the food. Marta was very personable and a great guide
Anna was amazing! We saw parts of the city we never would have seen. We learned so much from her. She was very fun, friendly & knowledgeable! Highly recommend the tour! The food was delicious too!
Very fun guide, Anna! She had lots of stories and we enjoyed the learning and link to food and culture.
What an outstanding way to experience Berlin. Our guide, Nichole, was top notch. She was like the friend who you went to visit and who truly wanted to give you a legit experience. In this case, in Berlin’s food and history in Mitte (Alexanderplatz)- what a super relaxed and intimate experience( as we were also just 2 on our tour). A skilled storyteller, Nichole was extremely engaging, knowledgeable, and personable, which my husband and I truly enjoyed listening and conversing throughout the tour. I loved asking Nichole all the questions that popped in my mind. I learned so much of this area of the city. The tour was held from late morning to mid afternoon, which was great for us to spend the day before a concert later on in the evening and the food was just the right amount for the day. Overall, highly recommend. What a highlight of our trip :)
We had a delightful food tour with our guide, Anna. We learned all about two main Berlin food specialties - currywurst and doner kebab. We also learned about the history of Berlin with specific references to particular neighborhoods and historical visitors such as Martin Luther King Jr. We got to detour through side streets off the beaten path that gave us further insights to the city. All delivered by Anna who made it fun and so the time flew by.
Great walking tour. Learned about the culinary history of Berlin. Guide was fantastic. Beer tasting to end the night was a flight of beers.
Anna was a great guide, she was very knowledgeable and great. I will definitely recommend this foodie guide to everyone.
Anna is absolutely the BEST! She brought a lot of enthusiasm and energy that weren’t just about food, but history as well. She is very knowledgeable about the history of Germany and the food. The food and beer were the best we’ve ever had. We would definitely do another tour with Anna! Go book with her. We promise you won’t regret it!
Food is limited to only 2 foods and one dessert and some bad beers. We could not believe that the beer flights had to be shared between two people.
Marta, The Best no issues 100% recommended 👌 👍
Marta was our guide on the Berlin food tour, and she was great! I learned a lot about the history of food in Berlin, tried a lot of delicious foods, and got some other local recs based on my preferences and dietary restrictions from Marta. Highly recommend!
Marta was our wonderful guide. She introduced us to some of the best and iconic food in Berlin. She provided interesting background information on the types of food that we sampled. She also made everyone comfortable and ensured we all had a good time and got the food we wanted to try. Everyone left full of delicious food and more than satisfied with Marta. I highly recommend this tour, especially if Marta is the guide.
We are big fans of food tours and have taken part in many culinary tours around the world. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing food tours we have ever experienced. The guide was wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging—and the company of the other participants was pleasant and fun. However, the food selection and variety were very limited, and we were disappointed by the places chosen to introduce tourists to the local food scene. Charging a relatively high price for a food tour and then taking participants to eat Turkish döner kebab and a donut simply does not feel like a proper culinary tour. Overall, it was a very disappointing culinary experience. Based on our extensive experience with food tours around the world, we expected much more and left feeling very disappointed.
4 hour food tour with 10 other people. Our guide Marta was very nice and knowledgeable and took us to 4 venues. Food was plentiful and the tour finished with beer tasting. Highly recommended.
Our tour guide Anna was wonderful! At first I was worried about meeting up with the tour because it seemed like meetup instructions were somewhat vague and there’s large area that could be interpreted from the instructions. But after we wandered around looking for the logo or color of the company, I got a call from our tour guide on WhatsApp and we connected (meeting place was just where we had guessed, but when it wasn’t immediately apparent we started wandering a bit farther away). Anna was a wonderful tour guide. She walked at a reasonable pace, gave us history and trivia about Berlin and the food here, and we got to eat and drink to boot! She also had a good sense of humor and we laughed and learned a lot. From a value standpoint, you could probably buy all the food and drink for like half the cost of the tour, but then you wouldn't get all the knowledge, and wouldn’t necessarily pick good vendors. So for me, it was totally worth the price.
Nicole was a perfect guide! She shared history of the area and of the food. We enjoyed her and learned more than we expected. Each site was ready for us and the food and beverages were quite tasty. We were a small friendly group .
Tour guide was really sweet and helpful! Thank you Marta we really enjoyed our food tour mixed with some history!
All the food was delicious! Marta, our guide was the best. She was very knowledgeable and very informative.
Anna was a great guide. Lots of info and energy. The craft workers and artists back yards were a highlight. Doner kebabs were delicious.
Marta was an excellent guide. The food and drink were delicious. Marta answered our questions. Gracie!
Just back from enjoying a Fabulous Food Tour with Anna, the perfect Tour guide. Anna made the Tour informative and Fun. All the food stops were very good but the Berlín Kebab was unbelievable I didn't believe a Kebab could be that delicious and healthy the bread/ pitta it was wrapped in was fluffy and crisp. Anna answered all questions giving us great recommendations for the rest of our stay in Berlín. Definitely worth doing , I would highly recommend the Food tour especially if you're lucky enough to get Anna !! Xx
The food and beer was all delicious. One guide, Anna, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Berlin and how each selection became iconic for Berlin.
Marta our guide was absolutely amazing and so very knowledgeable. She answered our questions with detail and passion whilst indulging us in some of Berlin's signature Food and Drink. Could not recommend this tour more, it really is an experience you must try whilst here in Berlin. Marta also made excellent recommendations for other things to see and do whilst in the city. Good humour and jokes were plentiful.
This foodie tourism walking tour with Juan was good. First stop was currywurst which was ok. 2nd and 3rd stops were a high end donut shop which we then took tour our doner kabop stop. The kabop was great, but the vanilla crumb donut was the best donut of my life. I had dreams about the donut overnight (ie vanilla creme crumble, it's a do not miss). Our last stop was a beer garden with tasting ( or apple drink for non-alcoholics) which was great. Over the various stops you very much will have the equivalent of a meal or more. We had a great time and while it is a bit expensive, it is worth it for the varied experiences that we would normally never do without a guide.
Marta was excellent. Lots of fun and very knowledgeable.
We really enjoyed this food tour, and our guide (Anna), was amazing. The tour was fun, informative, and delicious! We especially enjoyed the history Anna shared with us as we traversed the area. Definitely recommend.
Our tour with Ana was great. She shared history while visiting several stops for food. Large portions come hungry. Also had a fun beer tasting to end the tour
Marta was an extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about Berlin history, and she tied it easily to the food experience we would have. She pointed out the historical points of interest while we moved from food stop to food stop. She took time to connect with us socially, which made the food tour even more enjoyable. She pointed out great places for us to explore after our time together on the food tour. This tour was very good and I would suggest that you go hungry because all is completed you will be full! I would highly recommend this food tour!
Marta was a wonderful guide. Full of knowledge and a great conversationalist. Would definitely recommend!
We were lucky to have Marta, who took us through Berlin Ben way of food. She provided us lots of tidbits about Berlin as well as the food, why it was so popular (and yes, it was OH SO GOOD)! We had currywurst dogs to doner kebaps to donuts. Don’t get me started on those donuts!! They were so good I will be dreaming about them for a very long time. We learned lots of historical facts about the food, the location all while traipsing around Berlin. I highly recommend!!
Tasted 3 foods and a paddle of beer in 3 hours. Walking the neighbourhood was interesting but repetitive.
Great tour with Marta. As we walked we learnt lots of interesting historical facts as well as sampling great food and beer. Marta was very knowledgeable and good company. Would definitely recommend.
Great time it was the best time we had in Germany our tour guide was amazing
Nichole was wonderful and shared interesting insights of both food and areas we visited. Highly recommend.
Guide tried hard to explain the foods and places we stopped at. We did get to see some Warsaw café areas that were getting busy for a Sunday. We went by many cafes. The first 2 stops were very good with the Guide providing Polish history of the dishes.
Es war toll, erlebnisreich und informativ
Our guide Nicole was lovely, very personable and great knowledge on both the history of the food and beer we consumed as well as local history of Berlin. Would definitely recommend.
Anna tools us around Berlin and shared some the city’s history and great places to eat and drink with us. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodation.
Marta was a fantastic guide. Not only was the food and beer amazing - especially the dinner kebab but Marta also told lots about Berlin history
Anna was very kind and had a wealth of information. The tour was not only food based, it provided a lot of insight into Berlin, culture, history and food.
An absolutely amazing tour, with lots of nuggets of the history of Berlin as we walked from each food stop. Our tour guide made sure we were comfortable throughout as my friends and I were a little more on the quiet side and was a lovely start to our Berlin trip.
So much fun hanging out with Nichole and exploring the Jewish quarter and all the foods it affords. It was a wonderful blend of history and food and fun!
Fantastic. I always take a “food tour” in every city. Without question, this was one of the most enjoyable. The food was particularly good and varied. That alone would have made the tour highly rated. However, Anna, the tour guide, took the event to a higher level. She spread her enthusiasm, humor and personal interaction to all members of the tour group. By the last stop, the entire group was talking and laughing together. Anna was also full of information about each stop. As she talked about a site, everybody was interested, peered in and paid attention. My only complaint is that the tour’s duration was too short for the information flow and the enjoyable evening.
Great tour! The food was great, historical information was fascinating, and our guide did an amazing job! Highly recommend it!
Juan Luis was impressive with his knowledge of the town and the food. Great explanations and history without getting into politics
To be clear- this is not a food tour of traditional German food. We enjoyed the 3 stops for food and especially the stop at the Beer Garden. We even went back there the next day for dinner and more beer! Anna was our guide. She was funny, shared information about our stops, but also about interesting areas along our walking route. There was a mix up with start location- which was the fault of what was on the Viator ticket information, but with a phone call, we were able to find Anna. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because on a his tour, there was the two of us and one more person. That person was close in age to Anna and they obviously hit it off very quickly. There was a great deal of talking between the two of them. For a bit, we felt like intruders to their conversation. Overall, we enjoyed the food, beer and information, but it did feel awkward at times with some of the conversation.
What a great time we had on this food tour with Anna! She is so knowledgeable, not only about the delicious food, but sharing history of the city as we progressed. It was interesting to hear the link between the history of the food and the history of the city. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food along with an engaging historical tour.
