This was a great experience! Alex showed us places we never would have found, showed us where locals eat, and shared lots of history of Berlin. He was aware that some in our group prefered nonalcoholic drinks and offered suggestions. He answered all of our questions while keeping us on schedule. We walked a lot but were stuffed with great food! I cannot recommend this highly enough!

What a great afternoon in Berlin! Margot took us to an area of Berlin out of the city center, and we went to local shops, restaurants, and even a “hole in the wall” under the train tracks for very good and interesting food and beer. This tour was a great exploration of the different foods found throughout Berlin, and Alex was a wonderful guide, explaining not only the origins of these delicious treats (the pork schnitzel was excellent!), but also the history of the city itself. He also peppered the tour with fun facts and locations (the secret pack vending machine and the disco picture phone booth were so cool). This tour was a great combination of Berlin food and history, and Alex delivered this information with passion and professionalism.

All of the food and business owners were delightful and full of quality, but I was expecting Schnitzle, Spaetzle, sausage, kraut or dumplings. We did have incredible schnitzle, but the rest was all Turkish. A wrap, nuts, curry sausage, flatbread and apple cake. We also toured the graffitti district which attracts skateboarders, younger painters & music lovers. Everything was closed. She shared constant political views during the tour as well which were contrary to all of us in the tour based on the looks being shared and quiet whispers. She needs to recognize that all of us were in the groups she was speaking ill of. Know your audience and don’t cut off the hand that feeds you.
This is an amazing tour. The food was delicious, with little hidden food gems off the beaten path. Guide was so warm and knowledgeable of the area, food and history. I highly recommend this tour! My 12 year old joined me and loved all the food as well.
Margot was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. Took us through former East Berlin and showed sites we would not have otherwise found on our own. Food was outstanding, a diverse offering of local cuisine and variety of establishments. Don't plan a meal after the tour, you'll get plenty to eat. Highly recommend this tour.

When we visit new cities, we love to take food and cultural tours whenever we can. This particular tour led by Alex was everything we hoped such a tour would be. We had several food stops where we got to try local German and Turkish plates, complimented with local beers and various types of Spritz. The tour took place in the “Arty streets of old East Germany”. Alex did a really nice job of explaining our surroundings showing how the food culture had developed over time. We have taken many food tours around the world, and this tour was certainly in our top three. Thank you Alex for an enjoyable tour and sharing with us your obvious pride in the city.

Took a food tour with Alex in Aug of 2026. It was a fantastic tour. The food was enough for a full meal. We stopped at 4 different places to get food. As we wondered though the East Berlin neighborhood with beers Alex told us about both the history of the area and about what was happing in the area today. The tour felt more like hanging out with a really knowledgeable friend rather than just a tour guide. I would definitely recommend if you are in Berlin.

He was very informative and kept the whole group informed and interested in the tour. Did not rush us at all. All the food stops were good and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Alex was phenomenal! Great providing history along our walk and then getting us to the food. I was stuffed after 2 stops but there was more, a lot more. And beer. Currywurst is a local favorite for a reason but it might not be for everyone, and that's okay. Try it for yourself. The final stop was a total banger. Two thumbs up.

Alex is a fantastic tour guide. All the food is great, the history he shares a lomg the way you'd never know unless you were dedicated to learning as much as him. You also get a lot of food so no need to eat before and maybe even after. Overall tge other reviews are spot on. Definitely worth yoir money and more
