That sounds like a wonderful experience! 😊 Despite the bus being late, the driver's kindness made the trip even better. And the best part is that you made the most of the journey by moving around the bus and enjoying the views of Berlin. You managed to see so much of the city within the allotted stops, almost like having a panoramic tour of Berlin. Sometimes, these unexpected little moments make a trip more memorable than the planned attractions! ❤️

Informative, extensive insight to Berlin. Without getting off bus, it was a 2.5 hour tour. Great introduction to Berlin.
Tour had 10 minutes to go and could have gotten to the next stop, which was where we were going. No announcement when we got on 30 minutes before that a designated stop was the end of the line. Live GPS tracking was lacking.
It was ok. The circle tour was very slow and not always for traffic. The driver stayed at stops way too long. Signage for where the bus stops were very poor. The cruise was good
Protests are common on Saturdays. The tour buses end up getting rerouted, and you don’t see the advertised sites. The audio is then also out of synch with where the bus is located. The boat ride takes you past the same sites as the bus. While being on the boat was nice, it does not add to the experience.
I did not know there are 4 to 5 different hop on hop off bus options in Berlin. This is run by the bus company gray line. All of the bus options were at the same departure place. I had my voucher downloaded. But could not find the representative for the circle line. Never did find them. But other company representatives helped me this line is no better or worse than the rest of them. I didn’t find the narration particularly engaging. But it was OK. The difficulty in finding the bus line was my recent forgiveness and average rating. I never did find where the boat tour for this line begins or ends. There was no announcement on the narration to tell you this is the stop to get off for the boat tour so I’m not sure that it actually took us to the boat tour. It’s OK, just don’t highly recommend it more than others.
Great overview of Berlin for first timers visitors. Major sites are seen and you can return or hop off to see the ones you are interested in. For World War II buffs it does not take you past Fuhrerbunker, but it is about two blocks from Brandenburg Gate and a block from the Holocaust Memorial.
When you’re on the bus it’s great as you put your earphones in and choose the language you want to listen to information in. However you have to find your bus stop and it’s really not very clear where the bus stops are. They could make this clearer on the information leaflet they give you. We were at alexandraplatz where buses go two different ways, we asked for help and people gave us false information and we got on the wrong bus which then took us over 80 minutes to get where we wanted. The service also stops at 6 o’clock which is a bit silly towards summer time when it’s bright and people are still discovering. I’m 50/50 about recommending as it’s fun to get on and convenient but also finding stops are not clear and service stops early in the evening.
English narration was recorded and kept cutting off mid sentence throughout the tour. Dissatisfied with lack of complete sentences etc. missed lots of information. If narrative is corrected I would recommend tour.
Lisa was very helpfull and gave us directions
Interesting tour through the most important landmarks in Berlin. The audio descriptions were really good.
Interesting tour with stops at many historic and cultural sites. Cheaper to book online. Would recommend.
This is one of the best hop on hop off tours we have done. And we have done a few. The buses are clean and all have WiFi and the stops are easy to find. Getting our original ticket was simple and, once on a bus, we used the map and the voice over to quickly orient ourselves in a city that was totally new to us. We had the 48 hour ticket, so by day two, we had used the busses to get us to other tours, lunch spots and to revisit areas that piqued our interest. With buses every 20 minutes, and a cross over point that allowed for shorter journeys, we were able to take in so much more of Berlin than we had originally hoped for. Two thumbs up guys. This is an awesome experience!
Worth it to see the best landmarks of Berlin! Earphones and maps were not handed so we had to find them ourselves on the bus.
Borderline farcical as we made to change bus twice for no apparent reason. One tip - at no stage was any interest shown in ticket checking!
After walking for hours on our first day we decided to try the bus the next day. We should have done this on day 1 as the bus covers all the tourist areas and many of the sites did not need extra time To explore. I would recommend doing this first and then deciding what to explore further. Also the tickets were dar cheaper to buy at the stop rather than online. Just check they give you the right number of earphones. We bought 2 tickets but were only given one. This wasnt a problem as we used one ear each!
First 3 busses said this wasn't theirs. Thought the cruise was included all I all a waste only used once.
Great experience and very flexible driver. Good and convenient stops in Berlin (both east and west including wall)
This was very expensive but we had a large group and thought it would be a good way to see the city. The driver qas very rube to us and the children. If you have children do not tey it at all. very disappointing.
We wanted to see the city with this bus. It was suggested by our Hotel. The bus Driver was very rude to the children. Try the tour but with other service
Not enough buses running and there maps had marked places to be picked up at, but when you got there, no representative or any sign posts to tell you that this was intact the bus stop. The only place we found a rep was in the Berlin city itself. We spent over an hour looking for a marked spot ( number 10 ) to get on a bus, but not marked on the street. A poor experience, and the only saving grace was the River cruise we booked as part of the Hop on Hop off ticket which turned out to be very good. I would recommend you try the RED Bus. Wouldn't use them again Neville
I was a bit disappointed that the bus driver seemed like he needed a bathroom break or smoke break at every stop. I hope heis well.
This bus wasn’t as frequent as others doing same tour, had to wait 40 minutes on bus whilst others were coming 10 to 15 minutes interval
Took the hop on hop off in Berlin. We enjoyed the sites and it was great to be able to get off wherever you wanted to further enjoy the area. Busses were clean and the commentary was clear and audible.
Very lovely helpful staff , good stops covered all the places that we could wish to see.The buses were frequent.
Several bus tours operating in the same spot so it was a bit confusing identifying the correct Tour operator. The bus took a long time before arriving & some of the inbuilt audio guides were not working hence other passengers had to switch seats to seats that had the audio working properly. Not too happy with the set-up.
Very poor service especially in the river cruise. The people running the river cruise are extremely rude and not helpful. The hop on/off route is pretty standard without a smile. In fact I found that people in Berlin are generally very impatient and rude. This left a poor impression on me.
My husband lived in Berlin in the 80's and wanted to show me everything as well as see what had changed. This was the best way to get around. The Company also did a great job considering the UEFA finals were interfering with traffic.
This is pretty bog standard okay open top bus tour. It covers most of the key sites. The commentary focuses on key buildings and there can be lengthy gaps but to be fair it does does cover the places you need to know about. It was fine for us but for those of you who like a continuous drone maybe look elsewhere. Clearly most people who've left negative reviews never did any research about that nor the fact the service starts winding down about 5 so if you wanna get the most I'd start morning or lunchtime at latest. I've also seen folk moan that you can do all these sites on a Berlin travel pass for a lot less and yes you can buy you wont have a relaxing time jumping from bus/tram/subway services to get around and much of the joy of this is sitting watching world go by. The tracking map on website is really helpful and Di check if stops have been closed or moved (we had a few that were changed due to euros) . Book online and you'll save. And why folk are complaining about a lack of AC is just hilarious - it's an open top bus. The free earphones were comfy. We did find one set of seats had an issue with not working for commentary but no other problems on the 3 buses we used
This was a good overview of Berlin’s city highlights as well as providing an economical way to get from one site to another. The bus was clean and the audio clear, although it did cut off abruptly a few times but did not exclude anything relevant. There was a small disappointment of not getting to view the Brandenburg gate but the was due to the Euro cup event and not due to the tour company. I felt they did a good job of letting people know which stops to get off to walk to the gate. Only other comment is a warning that on Sundays the shops are closed so not to get off at KaDeWe.
Rude bus driver who set off and immediately engaged in a call on his mobile (WTF? Do this in London as a taxi driver and you lose your licence....) Driver then ignored the bell and made no attempt to stop at our chosen designated stop on the map, nearly missed the next stop and parked the bus in the wrong location so passengers dismounted straight into a cycle lane. Driving was erratic with harsh acceleration and braking. 'Timetable' is also a complete work of fiction
Best way to see the city (followed by exploring it on your own using public transportation). We chose a 24 hour option which was good enough to cover all points of interest. It takes about 2h 30 mints if you choose to stay in the bus without getting off at any of the stops. Advantage over other companies was there was only one route so no change of buses to switch to a different route.
Great bus tour. A good amount of stops and the drivers are very friendly. All buses do come on time and frequent
Good way to see main sights, without too much walking. We booked with avios, so no cost. Got on at Unter den Linden. A young lady showed us where to get on. Driver gave us earpieces. We followed commentary in English. Voices were at different volumes, so it meant altering the volume. No bus stops, so had to remember where to get on. It would help if there was a display showing next stop. Bus does not stop long, so if upstairs, you have to descend stairs whilst bus is moving. Only one bell upstairs. We did whole route, stopping twice.
The bus itself was clean and came by on a regular basis. Not easily identifiable routes. Boat option = the pier that we chose was closed. No one really helped us find the right one. We eventually did but it ate up an hour of our time. Overall - with experience - I would do it again but for the first time it is not easily navigated.
Worth buying the 2-day pass. I went for the full ride on day 1 and then selected my stops on day 2. They cover all the right places... it is also means of transportation 👍🏻
This bus trip covers all of the top attractions and made plenty of stops. The headphones allow you to listen in multiple languages, and the stops are convenient to walk to other places.
Fantastic way of seeing all of the sights and the commentary was really good.Staff were really friendly and made it hassle free
Generally good experience. However, be careful because when closing time comes your tour ends at the bus station regardless and you may nit be near your next destination.
The ticket redemption process is very unclear and they do not run during all advertised hours. Also, while the bus runs 7 days a week, if you need assistance on a weekend, you are out of luck.
Worst experience ever. The driver was rude. Didnt give out headsets or ask if we wanted one. Sisnt validaye our tickets. We got off once and never saw them again. The Red bus driver saw we were stranded and let all 4 of us ride back free. She never asked for a dime. Called City and they told us tough luck. Im going to cost them a lot more than we paid. I will review them on every single site I can locate and report them to the german tourism board. They were awful!!
Myself and my disabled elderly mother were waiting at the Brandenburg Gate to rejoin the bus. At 15.05 on Friday 01 December. There was a red bus in front at the stop and the yellow City Circle bus (number 4) waited in the middle of the road. Then he just drove off without coming closer to the bus stop where we were waiting patiently!!! He must have seen us. Or is blind. You should ensure all your drivers are competent! There is no way he was thinking it would be ok to walk into the middle lane of a 3 lane road in order to get on the bus! It's -7 degrees today. My mother is in a wheelchair!
We did the tour around and got off at certain stops, the audio struggled Alot, and was off and on. Be aware that the bus stops at 5pm and it stops at whatever stop number it comes to at that time. We was miles away from our number stop, so we had to get a taxi back as it was to far to walk.
Audio not working 90% of the time even changing headphones, places we were sitting or bus. Paid EUR28 for each person to see Berlin and understand nearly nothing because audio not connecting well in 4 different languages that we speak ( English, French, Portuguese and Spanish). Totally disappointed, don't recommend this sightseeing to anyone at all!
fantastic tour, great route and the information is super interesting. feel like i saw all of berlin's main site in a short time and in an easy way!
Saw many things would have otherwise missed. Commentary was brilliant. Unfortunately it was a very hot day. Never had a problem waiting for the bus ( roughly 15 mins ) The cruise was also good but only in German so my partner didn't understand. Just a lovely day.
Remaining of original wall and the history, Checkpoint Charlie, as well as East Side Gallery. You really don’t need to look hard to see the History of WWII war. It’s a beautiful city and so happy had a chance to visit it.
Not one of the best Hop On Hop off experiences. We had a great experience in London with a Hop On Hop Off Bus Company, but not with this company in Berlin. Poor commentary, with long stretches with only music. At some of the stops, the buses did not reliably pick up on time. One of our biggest complaints was the fact that you are not reminded to look both ways before exiting the bus at some stops where literally your first step off the bus was onto a busy bike lane. London did a good job of reminding passengers of this issue, but not at all in Berlin. After a long tiring day, this fact almost resulted in a tragedy as my Wife came within an inch of being crushed by an overly aggressive bicyclist.
This was okay. It served its purpose of getting us to and from the sites during a rainy day. Worth taking but only for 24 hours.
City tours are always a good way to see a lot with limited time. I wish their information were more centralized. In your booking you can’t actually access a map of the route. There was one stop they weren’t using where we were waiting. Website showed it. Should have been communicated better by the bus driver. Audio on some buses cut in and out.
