The speaker system was flawed. The noise from the people talking drowned out the speaker system. The boat was only half full too.
This dinner cruise was our best experience in Berlin. The food was excellent, the staff were so kind, and the audio tour was a nice addition. The time went by so fast; we could have stayed on the river for another two and a half hours. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, calm evening on the water with good food, good drinks, and good company.
Our dinner cruise booked with Viator was a wonderful family experience. Everything was easy to arrange, and the cruise itself was relaxing, scenic, and enjoyable for everyone. A perfect way to unwind and create special memories together.
Efficient and friendly hard working staff on board but the meal served was cold they did go to good effort to remedy and compensate. The guided tour itself was quite boring.
Dreadful - food stone cold sent the food back 3 times - still stone cold. Dont bother booking - no music, no atmosphere - very disappointing - do t waste your money.
The experience was so nice. We went as a family of 5 and really enjoyed it. The food was very good and the boat ride offered a great opportunity to see a different view of the city. We recommend this experience!
Excellent meal. Beautiful scenery. Fun time for all. Romantic evening for me and my husband. Service was top notch
Great food, great service. Excellent value for money. We really enjoyed the cruise, even free wine and welcome drink!
The cruise lacked ambience. Food was ok and river cruise was quite good on way out as was quite scenic but return journey went another way back via an industrial area that ran parallel with a motorway, hence not very scenic. Also, pre-recorded audio commentary was difficult to hear at times.
Very relaxed way to see Berlin. Cruise and food was excellent. All the staff was very welcoming and was a brilliant experience
Wonderful way to spend a relaxing evening! The wine and food were very good. The crew were wonderful.
We had an excellent evening - great food and great service and we benefitted from lovely weather which allowed the glass cover to be retracted for the majority of our trip. Excellent informative commentary as we sailed along into central Berlin and back out again.
Food divine. Servive great cruise great Location.......no advertising to show you arrived. It was raining and dark a tourist never been to berlin. No one we stopped could speak english. Taxi had no idea dropped us and left.. ended up under a bridge no lighting female using a walking stick fumbling arround in the dark. Saw what hubby thought was a canal boat someones home. Walk towards to ask saw people at tables went to ask It was it ....... not lite up no sign to be reas in dark. nothing. Noel one on the wharf to look for us. Hubby wanted to leave he was not comfortable being in that position. If wife hadnt pressured him to take her under the bridge in the dark we would have missed the cruise. They left as soon as we sat down at pur table and we were not late. Just not locals.......
An enjoyable evening. The three course meal and drinks were good quality and the service pleasant. Going at the end of October meant the whole journey was after dusk meant it was difficult to see many features on the river bank mentioned in the commentary. But this was not our main reason for taking the trip as we had already toured Berlin during daylight.
Perfect weather for a lovely cruise down the River Spree. Could not fault it at all. Good food, great hosts & beer!
We had a great time! The hosts were really friendly and helpful. It was a great way to experience some of Berlin’s sights!
It was a beautiful night. The boat was open air. Bring a jacket. Not cold but got cool when sun went down. Great way to see the city from another vantage point. Great service and our party if 6 enjoyed the meal. Pork, potatoes and carrots. App and dessert. Couple of drinks. Very fun. Recommend for a different fun evening.
We enjoyed the boat trip, however it got reasonably cold and it took them quite a while to close the top on the boat. What I was annoyed about was that there was a far better four course meal which looked much nicer but being from Australia we were unaware that option was available to us. The three course meal was okay but nothing flash
We took this dinner cruise the night we arrived in Berlin and I’m so glad we did. It was a great way to see landmarks from the River Spree. The commentary is in English and German. Dinner was simple but nice. Each guests get two free drinks. If you order extra drinks, you must pay in cash, no credit cards. The crowd was definitely on the older side as the tour is a bit expensive. It was easy to find a taxi to and from. We left the boat, walked left off the bridge for two minutes to a large intersection and easily called an Uber.
Trip was nice and everyhing was excellent. The only comment is that we booked the same obe for 8 June 2024 and it was cancelled 1 hour before. We were on our way to the pier and we were in shock when pier wss empty despite of our 1 hour trip to the destination. It is good to announce any problems in advance. I received only email thst our trip was cncelled and I will get a refund ....
The boot-tour was really nice, the food was good not special but good and the crew was so so lovely. Thank you very much for this experience
It was just good food, great wine ,lovely atmosphere, o would recommend this trip, Very good knowledge of the history
We thoroughly enjoyed the boat cruise, the drinks and the food. The cruise was slow enough to take photos and to match the narrative up with the sites. There was enough information on where we were cruising and what we were seeing.
We enjoyed the cruise downstage river. It was peaceful and the scenery was breathtaking. They give 2 drinks that were very good. The first and third course was very good. The second course was alright.
Although some reviews said otherwise, it was asy to find. The staff was very gracious. The three course meal was very good, and plentiful, despite another review I had read. Goes to show, don't believe everything you read. Otherwise you might miss out. A really enjoyable experience.
Amazing! A really nice tour, really lovely food and amazing hosts. Would book again without a doubt!
We enjoyed this trip. We received a glass of gluwein on joining. The meal was three courses. Potato salad, followed by pork, mash and carrots and a desert. You also had a drink included. Additional drink and coffee was payable, but was reasonably priced. We had a commentary in German and English which was informative. You had to concentrate to hear it as other guests chattering! The staff on board were pleasant. All in all I thought it was good value. The only difficulty we had was in finding the berth but we were early and the boat hadn’t yet docked. Once it had and was light up it was fine. We had a drink across the bridge while we were waiting. In fairness the instructions were clear. We would certainly recommend it.
A nice evening but hard to see some things in the dark. Vegetarian option but no details of menu. Dessert had banana in and I was unable to eat it.
We have used Viator many times in several cities and this was the only one to disappoint. The food was basic (cold potato salad for starter, pork with carrots and mash for main, apples and cold custard for pud, with another group having a different (better) menu and top up drinks. We were offered coffee, not told we’d have to pay for it and then they would only take cash - we didn’t have any. Made us feel very uncomfortable. The tour was recorded and we couldn’t hear it most of the time. Please check this one out Viator before signing up again with them.
Boat was great. Service great. Good okay but was not told they don’t take card for drinks onl cash and couldn’t hear any commentary as noise from others were very loud. A lot were not interested in the sights. Also smoking and vaping were allowed which is just so rude when people are eating.
A very disappointing experience. They were obviously having problems in the kitchen. The food was so bad. We have never experienced such poor quality. We only had a couple of mouthfuls and that was more than enough. They obviously were aware that people were not happy but did not offer any explanation, just offered free drinks. Next day we were at the pharmacy getting stomach remedies. The boat itself was lovely and the actual trip very interesting. Just don't eat the food.
Well, this was nothing short of a complete shambles, without a doubt the worst food and service we've ever encountered, blatantly lied to by staff about the complete lack of a main course, and the offer of a small beer as some kind of compensation, avoid this at all costs.
cash only. they cant take card payments saying that we had a lovely time. food was great, lots of info in the sights and a great birthday trip
This outing was quite enjoyable. Relaxed and good service. Getting there is a little out of the way with public transport although with some basic research it shouldn’t be a challenge.
Very pleasant couple of hours cruising various rivers and canals around the centre of Berlin. Informative taped history of what we were seeing. Food and drink was very nice and the crew were very pleasant…. great value
The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly. The rude was very comfortable with lots of information provided.
Great service and food! Great views highly recommend this tour! This is a must do on your trip to Berlin.
Was a nice experience, but I honestly felt like it was too expensive for what we received. The food was decent, but not worth the price tag. However the boat tour was really nice, and the staff was excellent. €70+ per person should’ve been more like €50 per person maximum.
The food was wonderful and the boat trip was scenic and relaxing. They opened up the roof on the boat and that helped with picture taking
They cancelled the appointment taken 4 months in advance, with one message notice in trip advisor. No reminder, no phone call. Super disappointing.
Everything was very nice and meal was lovely very relaxed well worth te experience the staff were spot on and very helpful
The trip was excellent. The noise level in the boat was a bit high and we couldn't understand all the commentaries about the places we saw. The food was OK. The white wine was excellent. We were expecting a little bit more romantic boat trip.
The food should be more Germanic. For example the dessert could be streuselkuchen and the mains sauerbraten. The audio needs to be at each table as it was overridden by people chatting.
Cruise was nice but audio hard to hear. A group of men were loud and not interested in hearing the commentary. Maybe headsets need to be handed out . Also we were sat with another couple we didn’t know while there were other groups of 2 sitting by themselves. Still not sure why we were sat with others and not given own table.
The dinner cruise was very enjoyable the food was good as was the service. The cruise was low key and relaxing. It made for a nice evening.
We did the evening dinner cruise on a Sunday evening. The pick up place was very hard to find in the dark, the best I can explain is if you’re facing across the bridge and can see a Chinese restaurant on the other side on your right, do a right down to the river bank and walk along about fifty metres, keeping the restaurant on the opposite side of the river. The hosts were really welcoming and delightful. The three course food was no more than ok, with a cold starter, warm main and cold desert. Could have done with hot courses on a wintry December evening, though to be fair it was as advertised. The hosts were quick to serve drinks and they were a reasonable price. The boat itself was very clean, with toilets etc, but was extremely cold. It felt like it had been sat and the heaters only just turned on before pick up and definitely needed to be warmer. The cruise itself was disappointing. It wasn’t on the main river in Berlin and though we did pass a few building of interest, they tended to not be lit up from the back, so in the dark it was impossible to see them, so it was almost 2.5 hours cruising on the dark. Not being able to see whatever the commentary was pointing out ( and the commentary was very good ) was really not a great experience at all. I think this evening cruise is one to do in warmer weathers and lighter evenings, where I suspect the experience will be a lot different. Once again thanks to the hosts who were very attentive and welcoming.
The meal was good. The cabin was a bit chilly and the heater was supposedly at the HOT setting. Disappointed with the absence of normal night and holiday lighting. We saw some holiday lighting in condos and apartments. Thought there would have been more. The ride is much better during the daylight hours. Disappointed at the inability to cancel the booking after it had been made.
The staff was very friendly, the audio guide is good, even though a bit low in volume at times, the atmosphere is pleasant and last but not least the food is delicious and in good quantity.
The boat was quiet due to the time of year - Oct, with 5 groups enjoying the cruise. On arrival we were offered a glass of Prosecco followed by the 3 course meal as we travelled down the River Spree to the main Berlin sites. Commentary was provided in English and there was plenty of wine and beer available to purchase. As it was dark we could not make out all the key sites so would look to do again in the summer when it’s brighter. The food and service was first class so would highly recommend.
