Valeri was an excellent tour guide. He catered to our preferences and was very knowledgeable. It was awesome to have him photograph our day. He captured some great family photos.

Our tour guide Valeri did a tremendous job in driving / guiding us around the major sights and cultural areas of Berlin. We had many stops along the way where we were able to take photos of the historical sights and in addition, Valeri also took many photos himself and made those available to us after the tour. The tour was very well historically structured, starting with King Frederick and his palace / church and ending with an in-depth historical perspective of how the city became divided after WW2 and the lead up to the falling of the Berlin Wall in 1989. We were only in Berlin for two days, yet after completing this tour we gained a great perspective of not only the importance of this city during and after WW2, but an appreciation of how this great city has developed over time. Thank you Valeri for a wonderful experience.

A lot of history knowing of the things that we used to learn at school

Growing up, I didn't have a good feeling toward Berlin--The cold war, Berlin Wall, Hitler, WWII, Nazis, etc. However, today, Valeri showed us a city, I found to be vibrant, beautiful, modern, historical and inviting! The private tour of the city allowed us to see all the historic sites including pieces of the Berlin Wall- still Remember President Reagan saying, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" We also saw where Hitler's bunker had been, the railroad platform where the Jews were taken to be transported to concentration camps, the topography of terror, the bullet holes in the old buildings of East Berlin and much more. During the tour, Valeri also took photographs of us and later sent them to me. We also stopped for coffee and German chocolates. It was a perfect day- the rain didn't even bother us. Valeri supplied umbrellas and water for our convenience too.

Valeri truly went above and beyond what anyone should expect in a guide. This started with great communication going into our day so I felt confident in what I needed to do. At the last minute when I realized that our train was going to a totally different station in Berlin, he traveled across town and met us at the platform. But what was amazing occurred at the end of the day when it was time to go home. He helped me at the train station and we determined again, we were at the wrong station (my fault). He then raced us across town in heavy traffic, staying calm and adding more interesting information along the way. We pulled to the station and had 4 minutes to our train. He then sprinted along side us from the van to the platform, ushering us to exactly where we needed to be, barely making our train and as a result our cruise ship. He saved the day and our trip. Valeri was an incredible guide and took some great photos along the way. He helped craft a perfect tour to our timing. I’ll never forget him. I can’t thank you enough Valeri! ❤️

We had an amazing tour of Berlin with Klaus. Before we started, he asked if there was anything specific we wanted to see. Since it was our first time in Berlin, we wanted a general overview of the city. He put together the perfect itinerary and took us all over the city in a comfortable Mercedes van, making the experience relaxed and enjoyable. What set the tour apart was Klaus’s incredible knowledge and enthusiasm. He moved to Berlin in the 1980s, before the Berlin Wall came down, giving him a unique firsthand perspective on the city’s history and transformation. For the entire five-hour tour, he provided fascinating commentary, explaining the history, architecture, culture, and significance of everything we saw. It seemed like there wasn’t a building, monument, or neighborhood he couldn’t tell us about. His knowledge was truly remarkable, and he brought Berlin to life in a way we never could have experienced on our own or as part of a large group. The time flew by, and it was easily the best money we spent on our trip. If you’re visiting Berlin, I highly recommend taking a tour with Klaus.

This is the best tour I’ve ever been on. I wanted to maximize our time in Berlin and find a tour that covered as much as possible, and that’s how I came across this one. Since it was a private tour with photography included, I thought it would be perfect for my husband’s birthday. It turned out to be even better than I expected. Valeri is kind and very knowledgeable. We visited so many historic places and learned a lot along the way. He shared fascinating stories that made the experience fun and engaging. A huge bonus was getting to escape the cold in a beautiful, comfortable car while still being able to see so much of the city. The photos are an amazing keepsake from the day and our trip. Valeri, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and managed to weave together 800 years of history—from the Prussian Kings to the fall of the Wall—without it feeling like a dry lecture. Standing at the Brandenburg Gate and the Holocaust Memorial were highlights. If you want to see the big hitters like Checkpoint Charlie and the Reichstag while actually understanding the context behind them, book this tour on your visit to Berlin. Our ride was comfortable and clean and we loved having our personal photos taken by Valeri along the way.

Valeri is a wonderful tour guide, chauffeur, photographer, historian, and gentleman. Having decided to take a personal guided tour last minute on a Saturday night, I was doubtful I would find someone on such short notice. To my surprise, Valeri was available and willing to accept the booking. His vast knowledge of the history of Berlin, and German history overall was impressive. He took time to explain things in a clear and concise manner. Despite the weather turning against us after an hour, he continued to make the tour interesting and added some sites not typically I clouded in the tour to make up for not being able to walk around in some of the locations due to the high winds and blowing rain. This was respectful of him. Nothing but good things to say about Valeri and his tour itinerary. The vehicle was very comfortable as well. He introduced me to Einstein Coffe and the delicious Apple Strudel.

Our five-hour private tour in Berlin with Mr. Vasilev, who is also a professional photographer was nothing short of amazing! The itinerary was well-paced, and flexible, allowing us to explore hidden gems and iconic spots without feeling rushed. Mr. Vasilev was very knowledgeable and we learned quite a bit of history. My 16 year old daughter and I were traveling through Europe and only had one day in Berlin on our way to Dresden. Therefore, we treated ourselves to one days private tour with Valeri. Good information, interesting sites----both popular and little known, with great photos at various stops and a very comfortable vehicle.

Valeri is top notch and we had a great time. Berlin is a huge city and moving around by car helps a great deal. Valeri showed us a lot of interesting places and we even had time to stop and relax at a beer garden.

Excellent five hours with Valeri, who never ran out of WWII and Cold War anecdotes. After taking the tour, my wife and I truly got the feel for this amazing city and no longer felt as strangers in its midst. Would take the tour again in a New York minute.

This tour is amazing! Such a great way to get an overview of Berlin, gain knowledge of the history and get amazing photos. Valeri was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and flexible. My mom and I enjoyed seeing the more famous/well known sites as well as some spots we wouldn’t have been able to find. The best way to tour is with a private guide. I highly recommend!

This tour was wonderful. We took the East Berlin tour with Valerie and wished we had more time to book another tour with him! I have limited mobility and the Mercedes minivan type vehicle was perfect for me and the rest of my family (husband, adult child and two teenagers). He was so kind to adjust his tour for me. My husband and son are history buffs and they were so pleased with the information they learned about East Berlin/wars. We all enjoyed the stops from historical to shopping to art. The bonus for this Mama were the photos he took. I didn’t have to worry about badgering my kids for photos- he took candid and group photos throughout the trip and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Our guide Valeri thought of everything! It was raining but you would barely notice with the way he maneuvered us around to all the highlights. He somehow managed to get over 300 beautiful photos as well. Valeri is pleasant personality and professional.

Valeri was prompt, energetic and informative. Communicated with WhatsApp was easy and he called and came to find us as we fumbled around the largest train station in Europe. Get ready. He will go nonstop (which is what we requested) for the full allotted time. And the drop off was perfect to catch our bus. I highly recommend this experience.

This was the most informative and nicely organized tour I ever had in Europe. We visited all the notorious sites in Berlin, full of history with amazing guide - Valeri. He gave us so much essential insight into the history and culture of the city. And even advised a great movie, which I was astonished when watched. I lost my speech for some time. I had previously done a generic walking tour in my early 20’s whilst on a tour group. Well Valerie kicked this out of the park, I was travelling with my kids and husband who had not been and it was important for me to show them as my Oma/Omi migrated to Australia from Berlin. She had been raised in Tempelhof and lived there until she migrated. Valerie showed us not just the sites but so many little details. The damage of the bombs and artillery on the buildings still left there. The fact it was 2 walls with a dead zone. He had so much information to give us. This tour was so valuable and I am so happy we did it.

Our first day, and first time, in Berlin was perfect thanks to Valeri Vasilev and his beautiful photographs as a bonus. Valeri picked us up from our hotel in a luxury Mercedes and showed us so many sights of Berlin in an informative and efficient way. No time was wasted as he moved us safely from sight to sight, expertly explaining the history of each location. During the evening of the same day as the tour, he sent a file of spectacular photographs of me and my husband touring the sights of Berlin. It was a luxury to simply see the sights while hearing the history and have someone else document it for us. The tour is not a bargain, but worth every penny, Valeri is professional and an excellent communicator.
