Waldorf Astoria Berlin

Great hotel, excellent service. We were satisfied with our suit and happy with the birthday arrangements that hotel offered and did. Very good breakfast. Recommended.

Disappointing experience on all fronts. Came here to spend the hot weekend in a nice room, get a workout in and enjoy a relaxed breakfast with the family. - Ended up only being able to check in past 4pm(!) and after we finally got moved to another suite. Typing this I still can't believe this happened. Shouldn't be possible in any hotel, but surely not in a 5 star place like the Waldorf. Reception blaming the late check out contracts their sales teams have signed. This doesn't help the guest in front of you. Learn to own the situation! - The gym was a sauna. Mobile ACs had no chance against the heat. No chance to properly exercise. - Waited for 30min to get a breakfast room table. Breakfast generally understaffed. Took 20min to get a coffee. All staff members are friendly and trying their best, but just too many things going wrong or need to be structurally fixed. Frustrated. Wouldn't recommend. (Would have loved to give this feedback in person, instead of putting it here, but nobody even minded to ask how our stay was when leaving. Imagine checking out of a 5-star hotel and don't get a simple "how was your stay" mind-boggling :D )

I stayed here during a heatwave and overall had a really nice time. Since it’s a Waldorf Astoria, I expected it to feel a bit fancier so I wasn't totally blown away, but it was still a great hotel. The absolute best part was the concierge. They reached out before my trip to help with dinner reservations. One of the places I wanted was closed on the weekend, so they proactively suggested a similar spot nearby, which was super helpful. Our King Deluxe room was really spacious, and thank goodness the AC worked perfectly because it was scorching outside. Breakfast was included in our room and it was good—you get to pick one hot savory or sweet dish plus eat from the buffet, which had so many options. The pool area was nice to enjoy, though it is kind of small. As for the gym, it was sufficient and good enough to get a workout in, but nothing amazing (and the AC was struggling in there, though it might've just been because of the heatwave). Everything was totally fine and it's a very nice hotel, it just didn't have that ultimate wow-factor I anticipated for a 5-star brand. Still a solid place to stay!

The best hotel we have ever stayed at! Luxurious, elegant, and incredibly stylish. The staff are extremely attentive, always ready to help, and genuinely kind. At breakfast, in addition to the very diverse buffet, you can also order a main breakfast dish from the menu — omelets, Eggs Benedict, pancakes, gyoza, and much more. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and offer lovely views. It was my husband’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel surprised us with a cake and a handwritten card delivered to our room, which was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture. The hotel is located right next to the zoo, with the metro station very close by, making it easy to get anywhere in the city. There is also a huge beautiful park nearby that we absolutely fell in love with. We absolutely recommend this hotel. A huge thank you to all the staff, and we wish you a wonderful day!
