I booked this place because it was advertised as a four-star hotel, but it was nothing of the sort. Even though I had already paid around $700, I received no prior email or contact. As a traveler from far Asia, I had to wait outside close to midnight, which was extremely unsafe. There was no detailed explanation about this process at the time of booking. The photos also looked completely different from the actual exterior, making it very difficult to find the place. I barely managed to enter with the help of local guests, who seemed to know the process well — it appears this system is only suitable for domestic or European visitors. In addition, although I stayed for five nights, there was no cleaning service and not even complimentary water provided. I also asked several times via email about the taxes, but my messages were only read and never answered. The reception was not functional at all after 11 p.m., making it impossible to get direct help with urgent issues. Moreover, the shower leaked water across the bathroom floor, the power outlets kept working and then failing repeatedly, which disrupted my work, and the unified switch system was inconvenient to use. Dust was also noticeable, showing poor cleanliness. Most importantly, there was no reception desk to properly address these situations. In short, this was an unfriendly and unreliable hotel. I will not return.

Very well placed hotel in a nice & vibrant area, close to trendy shops. Then all the rest is really not nice. Reception : you need to wait 15 min to have someone attending you. No food available when arriving late, no advice where to go to grasp something. Rooms are not being cleaned, and are very noisy so you get all the charms of the conversations from the street. Really an hotel to avoid.
This place is full of pretense but little doing. I stayed for three nights, the room never got cleaned. They have some ridiculous sign that only if you want to be disturbed they'd serve you. No one came to clean the room whether the sign asking to be disturbed (I assume in normal hotels is is simple "please clean" or some such) was out or not. Breakfast was skimpy. And altogether everything is full of pomposity but few amenities. The bus tub in the room doesn't make it better, a designer trunk but no closet is not useful. The area is great but paying all this money for pomposity is a bit much. And really, make a habit to clean rooms at least every other day.
A better modern but old hostel, well located, that’s all. This 4 star „hotel“ is way too expensive for its services and I wouldn’t recommend to go there. We were staying for two nights, more expensive as an international 5 star hotel close by. The Weinmeister claims to not have house keeping for the first 2 nights for environmental reasons, but having 80 inch big TVs in the rooms, literally nobody needs. As well you can ask for fresh towels everyday, so no environmental aspect was taken into consideration here at all but saving staff making your bed daily. Bedsheets were dirty when we arrived, staff was annoyed as we asked to please change it and when we arrived back into the room it was poorly made as in the picture.. The ventilator in the tiny bathroom is pretty loud and not to switch off, it takes more than 1 hour to stop. Loud street in front of the door, no jacuzzi on the roof as presented in the pictures. Staff was not helpful and pretty rude as well. Instead of kindly canceling our reservation as we were not happy at all they offered us to pay even more to get a so called upgrade into a bigger room… No thanks, never again and not worth the money.
This perfectly-situated hotel firmly believes in its "we like to do things our way"-attitude which is fine but given the absence of facilities, lack of service and overpriced room it turns out to be a bit pretentious. The design of the room is strange and not very practical. For some reason a large wooden bench of no particular use is placed in the middle of the room, in front of the bed (mind your knees!). The shower is oddly separated from the toilet and you need a manual to use the shower tap. The climate inside the room is unpleasantly warm and dry which is especially annoying at night as there's no fridge or mini-bar at your disposal if you're thirsty. The noisy, disturbing ventilation system in the shower switches on about every night and keeps you awake for half an hour. The limited cleaning policy of the hotel is confusing and annoying. Basically only the bed has been made up once during our stay. No fresh towels or anything. Contact with the hotel staff is very limited. There's no regular reception desk and we came down once to order a drink at the bar on the ground floor but there was no-one around. We waited for a while and left eventually. We considered the staff's approach as anonymous and not very welcoming.
