We had a really good stay at the Steigenberger Hotel in Berlin. The hotel was in a great location and made it easy to get around and explore the city. Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, which was nice after spending long days sightseeing. The bed was comfortable, and we had plenty of room for our luggage without feeling cramped. The hotel itself was clean and well kept, and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful during our stay. Everything felt organized, and checking in and out was easy. We also liked the overall atmosphere of the hotel it was comfortable and quiet without feeling overly fancy. Our only complaint was that the room got a little warm at night. Even with the temperature adjusted, it was sometimes warmer than we would have liked for sleeping. It wasn't a major issue, but better air conditioning would have made the stay even more comfortable. Overall, we had a positive experience and would stay here again. The spacious room, comfortable bed, cleanliness, and convenient location made it a great place to stay while visiting Berlin. Aside from the room temperature at night, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

Despite reading positive reviews, this hotel was very disappointing. I'm a business traveller and experienced a poor level of service alongside facilities which are 3 star. Booking: The hotel forces users to sign up to their H-Rewards, not something I wanted to do but had to. Check in: they offer an app check in, which didn't work. It failed upon accepting card details, so I had to check in manually at the counter, also their "auto" room card machine was not working. The staff at check in did not inform me that I had breakfast included, but they charged me anyway and refused to refund the money, despite their records showing I did not eat breakfast there, very poor customer care. The courtyard in the hotel was full of weeds showing very poor facilities upkeep. I needed to iron my shirts for a business meeting but there was no iron or ironing board in the room. I tried to call reception but the phone line wouldn't work. I went down to reception and requested an Iron and ironing board. 2 hours later it still hadn't arrived so I had to go to my meeting with a crumpled shirt. When I told the counter staff they showed little care or concern that they had failed at providing a simple and standard room requirement. Colleagues staying at the hotel also said there was no iron/ironing board in their room. When the iron arrived it was substandard and hardly could press shirts. It was not a steam iron. I had to use water from a glass and flick it onto my shirts to achieve any results. The rooms are not attended to by housekeeping. Not once in 5 days were the towels changed or the bins emptied. And I did not sign up to their 'environmental' option. Very poor experience for a hotel that markets itself as a 'business' hotel. The area around the hotel is quite rough. The staff are not friendly, they are not caring and the management shows no remorse for the poor experience and poor facilities. Anyone saying this is a 'plush' hotel is fooling themselves and you. This is a substandard hotel that charges high prices for low value. I've stayed at 3 star hotels that provided the basics this hotel couldn't/wouldn't offer guests. Thumbs down. Avoid staying here.
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in June 2026. We paid for a junior suite on the top floor. Our stay was excellent almost all respects. The room was large and comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent (though it would be better if the restaurant was open until 11:00 rather than 10:30) and the staff were helpful, friendly and spoke English (which was good for me as unfortunately I don’t speak German). The hotel is very close to the central station and the Government district. It’s also near to the Spree and is a good base for exploring the main sights of central Berlin. We didn’t use the spa (though if you need a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of the city, the Vabali spa is only 20 mins walk away and is very good) The only slight complaint was that the room was very warm, even with the air con at its coldest setting. Our room did have two windows which opened (though opening the windows turned off the air con) and as it was a hot period when we visited, even the open windows weren’t ideal for cooling. The room + breakfast were expensive but given the quality, location and amenities, it was good value. Otherwise an excellent hotel, highly recommended.
We had a great stay at Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from Berlin Central Station, which makes it very convenient for transport and also gives easy access to food options inside the station. The Reichstag Building area is also within walking distance, which is a big plus for sightseeing. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming—we even had a nice chat about the World Cup, which made the arrival feel more personal. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade with extra space, which made the stay even more comfortable. We usually prefer to include hotel breakfast when traveling abroad, as it’s often difficult to find a balanced mix of protein and nutritious options outside. This hotel breakfast offered exactly what we needed, with a good variety and quality. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay. Definitely recommended.
Steigenberger Hotel am Kanzleramt is a great option for a business trip, especially if you value comfort and convenience. The rooms are very spacious, modern, and extremely comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a long day of work. The only downside for me was that the room didn’t have a bathtub, which would have made the stay even better. Still, everything else in the room felt high-quality and well thought out. I also had the chance to eat at the hotel restaurant, and the food was surprisingly good. The standout was definitely the veggie curry rice, full of flavor and a really satisfying option. Overall, it’s a reliable and comfortable stay with good food, ideal for business travel.
