Nh Berlin Alexanderplatz

We stayed at NH Alexanderplatz for five nights recently and enjoyed the experience. The room (upper floor facing the street; windows block out good amount of noise, though you will hear sirens from nearby hospital) was spacious enough, bed was comfortable (mattress not too soft) and offered good amenities, including small refrigerator (came in handy). Bathroom fully functional (space around sink for our stuff), and good shower. Cleanliness good. Also enjoyed breakfast buffet each morning. Good variety, something for everyone. Spacious eating area. Two working coffee machines, big bonus! Staff at hotel were friendly. Good location right across from park (open-air cinema, restaurant, beer garden). Excellent tram connections to anywhere in Berlin. Recommend the pizza place just down the street. Would stay here again!

I had an excellent stay and truly enjoyed every moment. The hotel exceeded my expectations, and everything was wonderful. One of my favorite things was the small library where guests can take books and also leave other books in exchange. I also loved being welcomed with infused water, candies, gummy sweets, and fresh apples — a lovely touch. Every morning I could enjoy complimentary coffee, and the staff was always friendly, welcoming, and smiling. The highlight of my stay was definitely the fitness and spa area. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back!

The hotel was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed, including a coffee machine, minibar, kettle, coffee capsules, tea, and complimentary water. The reception staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and everything was delicious. The location was also great, with many of the places we wanted to visit within easy reach. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again.

Overall, the rooms were good, but there were several issues that noticeably affected my stay. During two days, the hotel floor (especially the 4th floor) was quite dirty. Parts of the carpet appeared to be stained, and there was dry grass or debris on the floor. It was not pleasant walking from the elevator to the room. The breakfast looked extensive, but in practice it was difficult to find healthy options. There was a very strong focus on sweet pastries and desserts, while putting together a balanced breakfast was surprisingly challenging. The fruits and vegetables were also not in great condition, even early in the morning. Unfortunately, the taste of produce that is starting to spoil is hard to mistake. Perhaps it would be better to prepare smaller portions and store them more appropriately. The biggest disappointment was the coffee. It was genuinely difficult to drink. Either the machine needs adjustment or the beans are of very poor quality, but it certainly did not make for a good start to the day. I was also confused by the Wi-Fi setup. In a hotel at this price point, I would expect internet access that is sufficient for basic work without having to pay for higher tiers. The standard connection was not reliable enough, and I ended up using my mobile data instead. I hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience.
