The Wi-Fi was practically unusable during my stay. It would connect, but there was little to no internet access. It’s honestly unbelievable that a four-star hotel, located so close to the center of Berlin, still has internet this unreliable in 2026. Nowadays, stable Wi-Fi is just the basic. It honestly felt like stepping back into the Stone Age.
Great location with easy access to buses and trains. There are plenty of good shopping and food options nearby. The rooms and the hotel in general are well kept.
I stayed at Hotel Steglitz International for a few days during a work trip to Berlin. My colleagues booked it for me, so I arrived with the usual business-trip optimism: suitcase in one hand, mild jet lag in the other. The first room I was given came with what can only be described as an 80 cm camp bed. Now, as a proud 3XL human, I briefly considered my options: sleep diagonally, practice advanced yoga positions… or just sleep on the floor. None seemed particularly promising. So—something I almost never do—I went down to reception and politely protested. And miracle of miracles: it worked. They gave me another room, much larger and far more comfortable. I still can’t quite believe it; normally these things never go my way. The hotel itself is solid, sober, and perfectly fine for a work stay. Nothing flashy, but comfortable and functional. The breakfast is good and does the job, and the area around the hotel has plenty of places to eat and grab dinner, which is always a bonus after a long day. All in all: a reliable business hotel, friendly staff (especially when you negotiate a bed that fits a full-size human), and a convenient location. Tip for fellow large mammals: if the bed looks suspiciously small, just ask nicely. Sometimes the universe surprises you. 😄
I stayed there as i was on a business trip. The staff were very nice and the room was very spacious. The food in the morning was good. The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is right outside a metro station. Overall it was a good experience.
The Hotel Steglitz is my go-to hotel in Berlin. With major bus routes, S and U-bahn stations less than a block away, the location can’t be beat. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and safe. The staff is helpful and pleasant. And the breakfast buffet is worth the price. On a recent trip I, and several other guests, misread the sign/forgot that breakfast opened 30 minutes later on the weekend. The staff graciously let us in early.
