A Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended Based on my needs and personal preferences, this hotel falls far short of the expectations created by the reviews I had read online. First, the name “GINN Hotel Berlin” can be quite misleading, as the hotel is located far from Berlin city centre. However, not checking the distance from the city centre before making the booking is a separate matter. Second, I have never stayed at a hotel that did not provide an in-room safe. For me, this alone is enough reason not to stay here again. Third, finding a used dental hygiene device on the bathroom floor raises serious concerns about the hotel’s cleaning standards. It honestly makes me question how thoroughly the towels and bed linen are washed and handled. Furthermore, the noise in the evenings was another major drawback. The hotel hosted numerous social gatherings in the bar area, which created considerable noise in the evenings and made the stay less comfortable. Customer service is practically non-existent. I sent an email but never received a response, which was disappointing and unprofessional. Based on my personal experience and preferences, I can neither recommend this hotel nor see myself staying here again. In my opinion, this hotel seems far more suited to conferences and business meetings than to a comfortable hotel stay for leisure travellers.

Decent room, but the extras add up fast Stayed here two nights and honestly it's a mixed bag. Let's start with the good: the room was genuinely clean, bathroom spotless, no weird smells, nothing sticky or suspicious. That's not nothing - I've stayed in places charging a lot more that couldn't manage the basics. But check-in set the tone. I stood in the lobby for a solid few minutes while the two people at reception finished their phone calls. No nod, no "one moment, sorry" - just me standing there like a piece of furniture. It's a small thing, but it's the first impression, and it stuck with me. Parking is €12.50 a day, and both nights it was basically full because there were events on. If I'm paying that much, I'd like the spot to actually exist when I pull in. It felt less like hotel parking and more like a public lot I'd been charged to gamble on. Speaking of events - there was something going on every single day I was there. The noise from the outdoor area facing the river and from the event space in the lobby carried, and not in a fun background-hum way. If you're here to sleep or actually get work done, that's worth knowing before you book. Breakfast is €22 extra per person. For what's on offer, that's steep. I would skip if coming back to this hotel and wouldn't feel like I'd missed much. The AC deserves its own paragraph. The controls are hidden behind a panel you have to lift on the left side. Nothing in the room manual mentions this, so I basically searched the entire room before finding it. And only the cooling works - it was a cold night, so my solution was taking hot showers to warm up. In 2025 that shouldn't be the workaround. Two more things: no safe in the room, which surprised me at this price point. And the fridge is a super-slim unit that fits about five cans and doesn't cool at all, so it's essentially a shelf with a glass door. Clean, well-located, and fine for a short stay. But the details need work, and the add-ons don't match what you get. NOTE: watch out for the wild pigs at night if going to the bus stop or just walking down the road from the hotel in any direction!!!
Good hotel with excellent beds, airconditioning and convenient private parking for €12.50. The property was very clean, elevators were readily available, and there were plenty of nice towels. We also highly enjoyed the excellent bar and appreciated the English-speaking staff. On the downside, the shower and bathtub are combined, whereas we prefer a separate shower. Additionally, the pillows were quite saggy. We did ask for extra pillows, but unfortunately, they were not given. Overall a good stay, but with some room for improvement."
Wow, Amazing, every words you can use to describe the best. Clean place, very friendly staffs, great dinner variety with excellent service , great breakfast, attractive ambience , rooms were clean and equipped with all necessary items. You feel great being there. I will definitely come back here. Actually if I need to drive through Germany towards south I will take that route to be in the Ginn. Thanks for the good time.
Clean and spacious rooms but very noisy and no airconditioning. There was loud music still playing till late in the evening thanks to the bar downstairs. (If you have a party then maybe move your guests to a higher floor or further from the bar??) You also could hear everything in the hallways and even other rooms… The staff were also not very friendly. No explanation when checking-in for example. We paid for a parking spot but were lucky to even find one, since its a parking that’s also used by other people than just hotel guests. It looks ljke you don’t have a guaranteed parking spot even if you paid for it.
