We are an 80 year old couple and we found the instructions and agenda very easy to achieve. Would never have tempted this on our own. Each mode of transport was excellent. Ample time to make each connection. The trip agenda was excellent and we saw places not included on on two week tour prior.

It was a super opportunity to experience aspects of Norway that we would otherwise not have achieved
I can only recommend this trip, you see the fjords and surroundings from a variety of views. The changes from train to bus to boat and two trains to go back are very doable and enjoyable.
Worked perfectly. Email prior to leaving explained where to go perfectly. My only small improvement would be if the tickets to the bus and trains and ferries could be added to my apple wallet.
Everything went smoothly from start to finish. There were bathrooms on the train, boat and bus. We had plenty of time between changes to shop and get food. The views were spectacular! I highly recommend this tour.
This was the highlight of our Scandinavia vacation. The Flam Railway ride was just as amazing at the fjord boat excursion. The only hiccup was that our friends booked the same package, on the same day, and same time. But the order of the train/boat was reversed from ours and we ended up having to split up.
My wife and I signed up for this tour with another couple for the same day and start time but their tickets went clockwise on the train, cruise and bus whereas our party went counterclockwise so even though there was no problem getting the tickets and using them we were not together during the tour. Also they got back about 2 hr later than us. Other than that I would recommend this tour.
Easy Tours did a lousy job. They have no quality control. This tour requires 4 separate tickets. Two of our tickets had the correct day, but the other two had the wrong date !! They were issued to us shortly before the tour date while we were traveling and had no internet so could not look for Easy Tour errors. All trains were sold out for the correct day so we could not even buy replacement tickets. A great tour idea, but don’t do it with Easy Tours, do it yourself since all 4 segments can be bought on the internet
Wow! What an amazing day! The scenery is some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. Everything was very easy to navigate, we had no problems at all with all of the different modes of travel. Highly recommend doing this if you ever come to Bergen!
Unfortunately, Easy Travel was not an accurate name for the subcontractor that was used by Travelocity. When our fjord cruise was suddenly cancelled due to a mechanical problem on the boat, we were left to our own devices. Not only did we miss seeing the fjord, which was our primary reason for traveling to Norway, we have heard nothing from the tour operator 24 hours later. A disappointing experience.
All worked brilliantly! Tickets & instructions arrived soon after booking and the organiser double checked that everything had been received. On the day all worked like clockwork and I enjoyed a beautiful trip with the fjord cruise and the Flam railway. Only comment is that this version comes without reserved train seats, so in the morning you have to be quick to spot an unreserved seat in the train because the majority are booked by tour groups.
An excellent trip with some incredible scenery and the fjord trip on the electric ferry was superb. A great day out and would do it again, possibly in the winter next time.
This trip was magic. We were a bit hesitant about it being self guided. But all of the information, instructions and tickets provided made it very easy to follow. We traveled by train, bus, boat and then train to get back to Bergen where we started. The trip took about 10 hours from 8:00am to 6:15pm. We were kept fascinated with never ending views at each turn. Each one seemingly better than the last. We even saw the tvindefossen waterfall while on the bus leg of our journey. So beautiful. We couldn’t stop taking multiple photos of each highlight, thinking the light or change in angle gave a better shot. I think we are all guilty of that. The whole trip went flawlessly which is a credit to the organiser. We highly recommend you taking this trip. You’ll love every bit of it.
The cruise in the Fjiords and flam train were amazing. The views are out of this world!! All was very well organised
Honestly everything was great but we quite didn't understand why we had to pay 310€ each Usually prices are between 200 and 250€. We couldn't cancel after our purchase, and a few days after it was just 220€ soooo yeah quite a bummer we paid nearly a extra 100€ for basically no reason...
The instructions were good, the tickets were appropriate, and the views were amazing. I would recommend it to a friend.
Very clear instructions. A couple of questions before the trip which were handled promptly. Views from the bus, boat and Flåm railway were spectacular. It worked well for us with all the connections.
The scenery is breathtaking throughout the entire trip. The train, bus and boat journeys were all well organised like a Swiss watch.
The views were spectacular It was worth the time and effort The waterfalls are incredible Staff were friendly and helpful
The sites I saw were brilliant. Great landscapes. However, the whole trip was just nonstop go go go. We did have time for bathroom breaks and water refills but not much else. If u wanna stop and rest or enjoy a meal at a resto along the way - ur not likely to have time to do that. Of course the boats and trains and busses are relaxing but arrival at diff spots was quick. It's perfect if u want to see a lot of places quickly. The bus in voss was nuts. No order. So many tourists being aggressive shoving their way to get on one of the busses. The boat tour area there was more order and in Flåm one of the train workers told someone to get in to the back ofnthe line who tried to shove their way in to the front - so the bus station in voss was the only spot things got wild and aggressive. For those nervous about the travel transfers from bus to boat, boat to train etc,. it's super easy - everything is pretty well right there when u get off one form of transportation. Also asking any workers to be sure is super simple - they're all friendly and helpful usually. Right side of the train from Flåm to the next stop (not round trip) seemed to have better views but the big waterfall was on the left hand side. Some of the train cars have windows that open - I'd suggest trying to grab one of those if u can as it can get quite hot in there (line up a little early for that train - tho it reduces time in the shops inside) - dress in layers. The boat was hot the train was hot but then once they get moving the temp drops. Rained some parts , hot and sunny in other parts. Deffffff bring snacks and water.
Well planned and easy to follow instructions made for a great day! Highly recommend!! Works for a day trip or as part of a longer trip thru Norway
Being in Flam was good, we have been there 3 times now, and it was fun. the Kjossfossen was wild this day due to the waterfall being wildly full, but it is always fun. The woman in a red dress was there dancing on the rock, with music playing. I got soaked with spray, but it was great. The bad news was the boat on the fjord. I have been on better ferries that you could see much more. the design of the ferry on this trip is terrible. I understand that many people need to be on this, but the design of it does not allow for most people to have a good view of anything. For that reason, I would never go on this particular trip again.
Had a little trouble at first with understanding exactly what I had to download. I had no trouble downloading confirmation to my Apple wallet, but didn’t realize I needed individual tickets, even with a call from agent. Gratefully someone on train explained, we called & tickets were forwarded to us immediately. Once on the trip, it went like clockwork. My husband was a pessimist, didn’t want to go. We both LOVED the trip! The boat trip was magnificent! The old fashioned train ride was glorious. All so easy to navigate. We saw so much of Norway & met so many lovely people along the way. So grateful we did this!!!
Wonderful Experience, thanks for you logístics help. You can see lots Of what Norway narure can offer. I hope I can come back with family in near future
We loved the spectacular scenery on the cruise and the comfort of the cruise boat. We were lucky to have fine weather so could spend a considerable time on deck. The Flam Railway was also enjoyable and not crowed. The train accident a few days earlier altered our tour a little but we didn’t feel inconvenienced with the change of transport. The whole day ran on time and although it was a long day, it was most enjoyable.
I am so glad I did this tour, would be one of my favourite travel days ever! The scenery I saw throughout the day was spectacular. Instructions were emailed through and were easy to follow throughout the day. I feel I got to experience a bit of everything from bus to ferry to train. I'm glad i packed some snacks as at some of the lunch stops, I wanted to either take photos or souvenir shop instead. November was a beautiful time of year as I saw scenic snow as well as some sun (even though it was a chilli -4c in some spots). I have recommended this tour to friends already as I truly had a lovely day.
This was exactly what we wanted. All the places we were interested in, without a large group of people. All the pieces were provided with very clear instructions and easy downloads. What a great day!!! Highly recommended.
Very memorable trip. A combination of train, bus and ferry. Beautiful scenery. Well organised, tickets and vouchers arrived on time, as coordinated at the time of purchase of the tour.
All the things we saw were beautiful and exactly what we hoped for. The buses were oversold and 5 people had to stand the whole bus trip. When the bus hit a bump a 4ft long section of the ceiling fell into the aisle and many of the seats were broken. In other words it was not a “nice” tour but it was everything they promised. The views were spectacular.
The self-guided tour was extremely easy to follow. Nothing against the tour - completely out of their hands - it poured with rain all day long. I have no decent photos and not a great day to remember.
Extremely well organised trip. We received all the tickets, information and instructions well in advance and had no problems accessing any of the transport. There was plenty of time built in so we never felt we were rushing or in danger of missing the train/boat/bus. I looked into booking all the parts myself separately, but in the end opted for this self-guided tour which led to a stress-free, enjoyable day. The scenery was amazing, the Flam train is unmissable and the boat trip was spectacular. Very comfortable with plenty of room to sit or enjoy the view outside. I definitely recommend this tour as it was extremely well organised.
The fjord tour and Flam railway were very scenic. There were 5 travel legs in total. Most ran smoothly. The only slight issue was with the bus from Voss to Gudanvagen. There was no queuing system so it was a bit of a free for all boarding one of the provided buses. Also the buses detoured for a photo stop along the way which wasn’t advised in the provided itinerary. This meant we arrived later than advised so didn’t have as much time as originally thought at Gudanvagen to get lunch etc.
The trip was amazing, some of the most beautiful sights we've ever seen in our life. Don't worry about the itinerary, it was so easy to follow you'd have to actively try to make a mistake. Many times there was just 1 train/bus in the station and that was the one you would have to take. Though its a long day, you see beautiful sights almost the entire time even the bus ride was insanely scenic, it makes the time just fly by. The fjords were incredible- 2 hours of having your breath taken away by every angle. We went during a busy time, but the crowds didn't bother us at all. If you've traveled before, you won't be bothered by that. When I wanted to get a good photo most people just moved out of the way until I got my photo. The train rides after the fjords was an experience in and of itself, the most scenic train ride and a few surprises/photo moments along the way. I'm so glad we did this longer day tour instead of only doing the cruise. The train was 100% worth it and one of our favorite parts of the trip. My only recommendation is eat when food is available-- they sell food on the boat, at the train stations, and on the trains themselves (except for the vintage train I think). You won't have time to sit down, so if you get hungry just settle for the grab and go food (places to buy food were readily available we found the most convenient place to relax and eat was on the boat itself after we got our photos).
Spectacular views , good fjord ferry cruise, but too many people plus we were not sent all our tickets! I went back and double checked my emails and only received half . I assumed they had a special bus for us, wrong!!!! Still good, but way over priced.
We travelled on 11.6.23. The trip was outstanding, except some communication hitch in the beginning. The tour operator/s did not mention clearly the exact departure location of the bus for Arna, connecting to the train at Voss. I spent 2.5 hours at Bergen Bus Station trying to find the departure point. At the end of this tiring endeavour I met a person from VY, who told me that the location name: Zander kaaes gate 6. The message from operator came late. If I had not done this pre-exercise, I do not think that I could have found out the location on time. Except the aforesaid, the trip was excellent.
This is a great tour! You see the fjords by train, bus and boat. We had our kids (22m, 18m and 16f) and they loved it - and so did we). Viator makes all the transitions easy and clear, so it is very manageable. Highly recommend and with the cost.
Great instructions for the transport options, clear. Had some questions before hand answered swiftly.
First, the trip was beautiful and absolutely worth seeing. Easy to find the train at the Bergan railway station and the trip to Voss was nice. The bus ride from Voss to the cruise was spectacular, as was the Fjord cruise it self. We had a misting rain on the cruise that made pictures challenging, but it was Norway and it did not distract from the beauty. A couple of negatives from the tour arranger and thus the lower rating. First when I booked the tour it said we would get out tickets sent a few days prior to our tour date. Two days before I emailed asking why we had not received our tickets. The following day they finally sent them. Being about 12 hours from our train that did not make us overly happy. Next when we got to Voss we were going to look for a quick breakfast as mentioned in the itinerary. We were end of October so maybe it was timing, but there was nothing in the train station and walking along the main street none of the restaurants had opened yet. The only thing we found open was the gas station mini mart across the street. Finally, the last part scenic part of the trip was the Flamm railroad, but when we got our itinerary we saw we had 2 hours in Flamm before out train rather than the 45 minutes we had been told to expect. At first this sounded good until we realized the 45 minute train ride we were booked on was to depart about 5 minutes after sunset. We were NOT happy and this caused a bit of angst all day during our trip. Luckily the Flamm people were super nice and quickly got us on the earlier train (leaving about 5 minutes after we got our tickets switched). We did not get a chance to see Flamm, but the railroad was definitely better in the daylight! Overall a very nice day, beautiful views, and the navigation through the train to bus to boat to train to train was actually quite easy to follow. We very much enjoyed the day and would recommend the trip to anyone looking for a look at a large amount of territory in a short time.
We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. It was well organised, the best part was the fjord cruise and the Flam railway which was amazing. We recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys nature
Nice experience. Email itinerary is clear . Could be nice if can send earlier and not just one day before the trip.
It was a smooth experience from booking all through the tour. Even when we encountered a error on our train ticket, Elena from Easy Travel was super quick to respond and help resolve the situation. The landscape and scenery was breathtaking and in my opinion this trip is a definite must do in Bergen.
Every aspect of the trip was exciting . We were at first anxious to try and self-guide for a train/ferry/bus/train all in one day. But the local tour agency made it SO easy 😃.
First of a kind experience for my wife and I. While this wasn't a "tour" and you used public transport for every piece of the trip, it was so easy to transfer from one form of transport to the next. Other than one anxious moment to make sure we were in the correct train car for the Voss to Myrdal section, everything went smoothly and we were able to relax and enjoy the train, boat, and bus rides. Beautiful views of the countryside, mountains, waterfalls and fjords. You're in for an interesting surprise on the rail trip between Myrdal and Flam, at least if it's a nice day out! For us, well worth the price to have another company deal with all the ticketing rather than us trying to figure it all out.
Beautiful scenery. Tour well laid out with breaks. However the tour organizor did not respond to two queries. I had to contact Viator to get help.
I was hesitant to do a self guided tour, but this was really very easy to follow. The scenery from the bus and the train was beautiful. But, the cruise was outstanding. Everywhere you would look it just got better and better. This is a great way to see the countryside and fjord.
Very easy to follow! Instructions and tickets were well laid out! Most of the stops were well timed to get refreshments and stretch your legs. The last stop in Myrdal was a little long at 50 minutes, but can see where that's important for any delays plus I'm not sure what other options there are. Overall would recommend. Much better than driving ourselves. The Flam cruise was definitely a highlight!
Tour was very well organized ..And directions were clear and easy to follow..No need for a tour guide, any one can make
The oversold, overcrowded ferry, and the lack of window seating on the train. There were people (groups) that refused to move so others including myself could take photos of the fjord. There were too many seats/tickets sold for this trip. Also there are not enough window seats on the Fram; cannot believe the email sent to me after purchasing the ticket read, “good luck on getting the best seat”. Never again.
Great way to see Norway beauty (fjords, waterfalls, lakes) when time is limited. The trip is self guided, however, the buses, trains and ferry cruise were very easy to navigate. My tour company had excellent communication. Highly recommend!
While we wouldn’t have changed a thing we did run into a hiccup along the way. Our first stop on the train was to be in Voss but when we got there the doors opened and people rushed on the train and before we could get off the train took off. Fortunately a lady helped us contact a conductor and we ended up doing our trip in reverse order so all worked out well. It was all part of the experience but fair warning when you get to Voss make haste getting off the train! The train may be an express!
