What an exciting surprise to be picked up in a Tesla X with gull wing doors! This vehicle was extremely comfortable and afforded excellent scenic views through the generously-sized windows. Our guide, Jana, is a lovely person who offers the right amount of commentary to keep things interesting. The itinerary was quite nice, giving us amazing fjord views and the opportunity to visit two beautiful waterfalls. Steindalsfossen is absolutely stunning! We thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the power of the waterfall as we walked behind it and the breathtaking view of the town and countryside from the observation deck! We also participated in an optional farm to table lunch, featuring carrot soup and a wonderful selection of area specialties. The proprietress (Anna?) was energetic and quite interesting to talk with. The only callout is that the farm to table experience was pricier than we thought, so check first if you have a budget for lunch that you are trying to stay within. Overall this tour was a fantastic experience, and we are pleased to highly recommended it to those with a day available in Bergen!

My friends and I went on a private tour with Jana who was incredible. She was super knowledgeable, engaging, entertaining, and very gracious and accommodating. Our guide, Vlad, was awesome. He was a great leader who took us to the usual tourist spots. In addition, he took us to some out of the way places that were charming. Vlad was so knowledgeable about the history, culture, and traditions of the area! I would not hesitate to go with him again.

This was a great way to see a lot of the surrounding area around Bergen. Vlad is very knowledgeable about the sites and history. He personalized the stops for us. He also arranged a wonderful lunch at a local farm. It was nice to sit back and enjoy the tour. I would recommend this excursion.

We had a great road trip with Jana visiting the fjords and waterfalls outside of Bergen. Our guide was excellent and was a very good driver as well. Perhaps the highlight was our farm lunch where the host shared some of nice soup and local meat/cheese dishes. She also shared the history of the farm that dated back 400 years.

A perfect way to see Norway. We enjoyed our time with Jana. She was a safe driver and informative. It was nice to hear about everyday life in Norway. We saw gorgeous waterfalls and did some short hikes. Lunch at the farm was delicious (they made accommodations for food allergies) we loved being at the farm. Don’t hesitate to book this experience.

Vlad made the tour very special. Not only did he have a great itinerary planned but was very accommodating regarding our interests. He helped us to visit an ancestral home, took us to very special working farm for lunch but also made a traditional hot beverage and also fruit and cookies for a snack. In our case he was particularly helpful picking up our luggage from our hotel and bringing the six of us to the port so we could embark on our cruise ship for the next part of our vacation.

Vlad was an amazing guide! So much information and history shared. The drive was amazing. We hiked down to a waterfall and then up to another that you could walk behind. Both were so beautiful! He was willing to stop whenever for photos and also took many photos of our group for us. Lunch was so good!! We stopped at a Cider Farm and Annalisa was the perfect hostess. But the food stole the show. So fresh and amazing flavors. Vlad also provided Glogg, ginger cookies, and sliced apples for a snack on the ferry - all were delicious! I would highly recommend this tour. Vlad will treat you like royalty and you'll not only spend a wonderful day viewing so many fjords, lakes, and more, but you'll learn a lot about Norway. Spending an entire day with Vladimir was stupendous. We were able to have perfect weather. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and fun to be with day long. We saw a beautiful Fields, waterfalls, the glaciers and areas of downtown Bergen. It far exceeded our expectations. There are so many beautiful sites to see, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all of the areas and able to detour a large bicycle competition that was going on that day. It is a must do to really experience Bergen beyond the town.

This private day tour from Bergen was very special and one of the highlights of our Norwegian holiday. Our guide Vlad, was very friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, kind and energetic. We saw the most beautiful Fjord scenery, short walks to (and under) waterfalls, crossed a Fjord on a car ferry and most importantly stopped for lunch at a farm house for a delicious home cooked lunch with tastings of cider and beer brewed by the owner as well farm-fresh fruit juices. All this overlooking a Fjord and its islands - just perfect. We were a group of four and the big Merc people mover was very smooth and comfortable and Vlad was a smooth and safe driver.

We had a wonderful day with Jana! She picked us up at the hotel, and we saw the highlights of Bergen on the way out of town. We had some lovely short hikes to the waterfalls and petroglyphs. Lunch at farm was very tasty. And of course the views of the fjords were amazing. The snacks and drinks we had on the ferry were the icing on the cake! It was a great start to our trip. Jana was our guide. She was on time to pick us up, was a great driver and extremely knowledgeable about Norwegian history and culture. She answered all of our questions and was a pleasure to be around. We enjoyed the tour very much. We had lunch at a small farm and had the best carrot soup and bread (also provided gluten free bread) we’ve ever had.

We had an absolutely wonderful day on the private tour with Vlad. Somehow we lucked out on the weather, and had a beautiful drive to fjords, waterfalls and all sorts of lovely views. Vlad was kind, accommodating and full of both interesting details/stories and good music along the way. During the drive, he struck a great balance of communication and quiet, and on our sojourns to various waterfalls etc, he similarly accompanied us on some and let us find our own way on others. We particularly enjoyed the hike down to the Fossen Bratte falls, the grog that Vlad made and shared with us on the ferry, and the detour to find our favorite DJ’s house in Bergen! 10/10 recommend :-)

We recently took this tour and Vlad was our tour guide. He was fantastic He was very informative about the past and present times of Norway. Like a walking history book! The most important thing however is that Vlad made us feel very comfortable and always looked out for our safety. He played Norwegian music in the car and explain the origin. We had a lovely Norwegian lunch and Vlad even brought a hot drink and cookies for us to enjoy on the ferry. All the makings of a perfect day!

Vlad is personable, articulate (in several languages) and knowledgeable about Bergen and of greater Norway. He was punctual in meeting us at our hotel and drove us in his Tesla, stopping at places you wouldn’t find on your own, all the while narrating almost non-stop! We learned so much! Best 6 hours we spent during our weekend in Bergen. He took us to a delightful farm for a home-made lunch, one of the many off-the-beaten-path stops included in his scenic itinerary. He also brought snacks and refreshments for us. And when we forgot an item in his car, he brought it to our hotel early the next day, and even offered to drive me to the airport! Thinking back, we had such an extensive overview of the fjords, waterfalls and beautiful snow-covered Bergen landscape in mid-February. Great memories. The tour with Vlad was the highlight of my 2 week trip and a great travel experience. I travelled on a Viking cruise ship and had an extra day in Bergen, so I booked this 6 hour excursion. Sharing the cost with a person I met onboard turned out to be a far better value than anything the cruise company was able to offer. Vlad also made restaurant reservations for us where we had a most flavorful seafood dish that I will fondly remember.

Had a wonderful day exploring Bergen, the Fjords and the mountains! Val was a wonderful driver and guide. Despite the winter weather, he suggested things for us to do that weren’t on the original itinerary but were real hidden gems! Highly recommend if you have a day in Bergen! We were on a cruise and he came to the cruise terminal to pick us up and dropped us off!

We were on a cruise and had 1 day to see Bergen. Another couple from the cruise found Jandis Tours and we decided to join them on this private tour. Vlad was the driver and guide and he was wonderful! Vlad did a great job of showing us so many things. We even had lunch at this beautiful cafe that his friend owns and operates. The food, scenery and staff were wonderful. I highly recommend Jandis Tours and Vlad for any tour in Norway. We were even able to provide Vlad with some history from Columbus, Ohio (Ohio State University)! Vlad is wonderful!

Everything went very smoothly from pick up to drop off. The Tesla was very comfortable. Jana, the guide, was lovely and we had a great discussion about many diverse things including how Norway and Scotland compare. Despite the weather forecast it was warm and sunny so ideal for our photo opportunities and short walks. The fjords, as expected, were spectacular and I loved the lunch at a local farm where the owners took time to chat. We had some extremely tasty home made carrot soup and bread rolls. I even got to meet their gorgeous pet rabbits. I would thoroughly recommend the tour as a stress-free way to get round bits of Norway that would be tougher to reach without hiring a car. Thank you Jana for the troll stories - I am going to stick to stirring my porridge with a spoon though ... And please thank Anneliese for telling me about the Scottish Blueberry industry and showing us her amazing embroidery!
