After admiring the city from the most enigmatic viewpoint of Bergen, we will enter the mountain to appreciate the natural landscapes of the Bergen mountains from a deeper perspective.
Wear your comfortable walking shoes and have your camera ready. My husband is not a walker, but he managed to hike for a couple of hours. I kept stopping to take photographs of the wonderful view. Our guide was on time and ready to go (and this was his 2nd tour of the day). He was very friendly and patient with us, since we were casually "hiking". We got our steps in and I got some beautiful photos too. Thanks!
Very pleasant hike. Jeremie was a great guide and offered great conversation and history lessons. We were fortunate for great weather and wildlife, however the hike may not be as good if the weather conditions are poor. Would definitely recommend.

One of our favorite things we did in Bergen! Samuel was an excellent guide. He met and dropped us off at our hotel. We hiked about 4.5 miles with good elevation gain. Guides go at your pace. Beautiful views of the city. Bring water! Trail was muddy but you can also opt to do a gravel/paved trail.

Our tour guide, Jeremie, was fantastic and shared great information and local stories during our family hike. It started with a ride up the funicular, which was a great experience with beautiful views right from the start. Jeremie was incredibly flexible with our route when the weather shifted, ensuring we still had an absolute great time. The hike offered spectacular views of Bergen and the surrounding area, and we were able to stop and take some amazing panoramic photos along the way. On the way down, he even gave us some excellent inside tips on local restaurants and nightlife to check out later. Huge thanks to Jeremie for making our mountain tour such a success. A really great outing, one that offers majestic views and insights about the mountains surrounding Bergen. Luca was our guide, and he added so much color and great conversation. You can make this a more low key hike, or take some of the more demanding trails - a great workout!
Wonderful hike along the less travelled path that had fantastic views. We went early and beat all the crowds. Our guide, Luca, was great and thoughtful about our pace and steepness of path given one of us has some knee problems.
Our guide Hector was great and he took us to the top of the mountain overlooking Bergen with fantastic views. Really interesting conversations along the way too so learnt lots whilst walking.
This was a great tour for cruise ship passengers. Hector was excellent, he communicated great through whatapp so it was easy to find him in bergen. He had tickets ready for the lift so we skipped the line and went strait to the top. from there we did a fantastic hike that was off the beaten path and away from all the other tourists. Hector was knowledgeable and spoke great english. Highly recommmend Hector!
This is a steady walk , but not an easy walk. The guide Luca was very personable, arrived on time, took us to off the track places and even let us have some hot beverages courtesy of Luca! Money well spelt in the company of a nice young man who is a credit to Norway, the company and his parents.

Great hike through the Bergen Mountains! Unfortunately, it was raining most of the hike and was pretty foggy when we got to the top. The hike was a little more rugged than I was expecting. However, our guide was very patient and went at a pace that worked for me. Would highly recommend this hike with Bergen Tour Experience!
This was a very nice tour and Jeremie was excellent and fun! We love the funicular trip and the mountain hike with beautiful views and spectacular lake! You do have to walk and be in pretty decent shape to hike the mountain but its so worth it! Jeremie even recommend us a very nice restaurant where we had lunch and food was delicious! Definitely will recommend this tour!
Our guide was fantastic. We took a personalized hike up one of the most beautiful mountains you will ever see. He was patient with us as we struggled a bit to acclimate ourselves up the steep climbs. But our path was a flat and even gravel path suitable for anyone who wants to witness the spectacular scenery of Norway.

Great way to start a tour of Amsterdam. Max was great. Took us through the Amstel River and then the tinier canals.
We rode up the funicular and then hiked for 3 hours around the mountains above Bergen. We did the "off road" option but we could've chosen the primary path if we wanted. It was manageable hike. Our guide brought a local snack (brown cheese & crackers). He wasn't very well versed in local history or sites, but he was a great conversationalist and knew the mountains well. We had a perfect weather day which was a bonus!
The hike is beautiful! You do need to be physically fit to do this hike. Our guide, Matias, was excellent. The views were beautiful and he shared a lot of information about Norwegian culture.

Hector gave my son and I a world class adveture hike on Mount Floyen above Bergen. It was captivating beautiful. Hector shared an impressive knowledge of seasonal mountain terrain, history, and wild life and plants including edible fruits that we picked and ate along the way. Hector is a true mountain man. And we would never have been able to do this hike alone. A true expert excursion. And the views were unlike anywhere on earth. What a fantastic way to see the greater outdoors of Bergen! Our guide Ari led us on a fantastic hike after zipping up the Mt. Floyen funicular. The time flew as we climbed up to some of best views on my trip.

Wow!!! What a hike! Our guide Ari is fantastic! After going up the funicular, we started on a fabulous hike to the best views of Bergen and surrounding areas you can wish for. Ari kept us engaged so well we had no idea we were covering so much ground. It's absolutely stunning around Mt. Floyen. Loved our tasty Norwegian snack along the way. A trip highlight so far!
We were given a brief tour of the city, followed by a ride up the tram to Mount Foyer. We then spent 2 hours wandering through the park area. It was cool but not worth the cost.
Bergen is a lovely town. Joana showed us around the town and also took us up the mountain via the tram where we had a short hike to a small lake and enjoyed the views looking down at the city and port. She provided great historical and cultural information and it was a delight to have her as our guide.

This was an awesome guided hike through the mountain. It started with our guide, Hector picking us up at our hotel. We walked to the Funicular ride and took a spectacular ride up the mountain. After taking some pictures of the awesome views we started the hike up the mountain. Hector was awesome, making sure we were comfortable with the hike and helped as needed. We are both 69 yo and he keep that in mind as we continue up the mountain, letting us go at our pace and not his. The terrain was a bit slippery at times but we had no issuse making it to the top, and thank God we did because the views are absolutely breathtaking. The hike back down was via a different route which consisted of a short mountain hike and then to a gravel road back down the mountain. I would highly recommend this tour. BTW we both only had sneakers (no boots) and had no issues except for some minor staining and lightly wet feet. Certainly a price worth paying for the views.
When we greeted our guide at meeting point it was pouring rain. But we were determined to hike, we were prepared and glad we did! The rain finally stopped and we enjoyed an awesome experience with Hector guiding us up and down the trails. Hector was very friendly and knowledgeable. Love the tea! Don't miss this tour.
To fully participate in climbing the trails, you need to be in good shape. However, our guide gave us options throughout in case we decided to take an easier route. I recommend hanging in there as the hike is very rewarding. The views are stunning. Our guide brought along tea and snacks for us to enjoy. Our family of 4 (grown children) all had a great time. I highly recommend this hike!

We recently went on a guided hike up the funicular in Bergen and across Mount Fløyen & the Bergen mountains with Are, and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Are was an exceptional guide — knowledgeable, kind, funny, and full of fascinating facts and stories about the area and Norwegian culture. He went above and beyond, bringing along traditional Norwegian snacks for us to try (I especially loved the brown cheese!) and even extra drinks and clothing in case we weren’t fully prepared — which turned out to be a lifesaver when we ran out of water! Despite not being a native English speaker, Are’s English was better than ours! He patiently taught us some useful Norwegian phrases and even helped translate things for the rest of our trip. We were amazed to learn he speaks around seven languages — incredibly impressive. Are tailored the hike to our pace, found the best panoramic viewpoints, and took incredible photos — far better than anything we could have captured ourselves. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and his thoughtful, easygoing nature made it feel like we were walking with a friend. Before the trip, he communicated clearly and professionally, arranging a meeting point and time and advising us on what to bring. Everything about the experience was smooth and enjoyable. I would wholeheartedly recommend Are and the company — they deserve an 11/10! If you’re in Bergen and thinking of doing a hike, don’t miss the chance to go with Are.

No call no show . I waited for kne hour and been confirmed with the tour guide the night before . They provided a number which’ was fake. This was one big scam .

The beautiful hike was surrounded by breathtaking nature and beautiful sights. Silvia's knowledge of the region made it even more engaging. We were feeling a bit down with the non-stop rain in Bergen during our stop here. We had also started questioning whether it was a right decision to have a stop here. This hike with Silvia made it worth it. This was definitely one of the biggest highlights of our Norway trip. We not only had a memorable trip but made a great friend in Silvia!

We met Hector on what has got to be one of the most blustery of summer days in Bergen. We were a bit leery, but we decided to go for it and head off road I to the forest for a long hike. It was tricky at points, but well worth the effort. Hector kept a close eye on us and kept us motivated. We ended up getting to see fairytale scenery, and pick wonderful blueberries and mushrooms, which we used for our dinner that night. We missed some of the stunning views, but we felt like we gained a real Bergen experience in exchange. Thank you to Hector for his patience and an excellent time!
