Thon Hotel Orion

Excellent location. Quiet. Very clean room. Extremely comfortable beds. Reception always available to support you. Breakfast delicious. Many free seats because staff is well organised and know how to manage the flow.

Fantastic location and standard rooms for a 3-star property. The thick duvet and heated bathroom floors were great highlights, and the mini fan was a nice touch for air circulation. Dental kit wasn't provided in the room but can be requested at the desk. Calls to reception aren't answered most of the time unfortunately. Check-in was a mixed experience. The new junior front desk lady was incredibly warm and pleasant when handling my room request. She consulted a senior staff lady, and that senior lady gave me an exasperated look and asked, “What’s the problem?” I was taken aback by her attitude. While she did soften her tone immediately afterward and I understood the request couldn't be met, that sharp initial reaction left an unpleasant first impression. Aside from that front desk incident, the rest of the stay was comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent.

Let’s talk food - it’s worth staying here just for the breakfast - 11/10. Superb. And definitely the lunch bag they offer - great value, get it daily! Lounge area - beautifully furnished with free coffee and open fire. Top marks. Hotel service is exceptional. Location great. Gym - basic, needs a leg machine, dumbbell bench needs fixing, but it does the job. The only gripe which might matter to some which can’t be changed - the rooms are small. But nice decor and comfy pillows. The TVs need YouTube access - semi useless without it. No body lotion in bathrooms. Can be a nice touch.

Had a great experience at Thon Orion. The room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was good sized. Beds were clean with comfortable mattresses. Staff at the front desk were super helpful. Location is great, within walking distance to the wharf. One of the best features was the included breakfast. Healthy, tasty, and good food. Would highly recommend!
