A pretty standard chain hotel. Nothing special. Clean, friendly staff, pretty good breakfast (very good scrambled eggs, bacon too crispy for my taste). The coffee machine often had a line as a lot of people didn't understand it. The hotels biggest strength is it's very central location. However, this is also it's biggest weakness. It is very noisy outside all the time. Especially at night as the building also houses a night open McDonald's. If you are a light sleeper you should book another hotel.

Rooms were clean. Breakfast had a wonderful and tasty selection and the hosts at the breakfast were very friendly. Location was fantastic. Front desk folks were not particularly friendly or very helpful. The umbrella rental was out of order and they had a very limited amount you could check out. We asked if the hotel had a restaurant and they said no-which is literally true but the room then had a menu in the rooms and there was a door from the lobby to enter the restaurant next door. And when the desk lady said “no” she did not offer to recommend anything. Libby can be tight if you have a group or two meeting for tours. Also, the floor my parents stayed on they had to walk up 8 steps hauling their luggage-but we were on a different floor and did not need to use any stairs but some on our floor may have-but it was just 3 steps.
Nice hotel in Bergen. The location of this hotel is fabulous - right in the centre of Bergen and so everything is walkable. The room was great - super comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a large buffet of all your favourites. It can get busy in the room so early or late is a great choice. Staff we friendly and helpful.
It's a nice hotel. Ok it doesn't look much on the outside but the rooms are spotlessly clean, in excellent condition and the breakfast is really thoughtfully prepared. I suspect the excellent breakfast is connected to their being a lady chef.
This location was another very good choice for our lodging needs while in Norway. The entire staff worked hard to make our stay most enjoyable. As one of the receptionists was drawing lines on a city map, he said, “Tourist groups won’t see any of these places.” He was right! We were far away from any groups. It was fantastic! Our room was perfect. Don’t often need an iron and ironing board, but we had one. Plenty of coffee, creamer and sugar, as well as in reception. Included breakfast had something for everyone, and I tried it all. Will likely use their luggage service because checkout is at 12:00 noon, but we can’t check in to the Havila until 15:00. A slow walk only takes 9 minutes from the hotel. Yes, the Bristol was a good choice.
