Superb location. Quiet room. Excellent breakfast. Some staff more helpful than others. Room small and cramped, no view, but hot water kettle, fridge, bulk toiletries, good bed, tv. No real lobby space. Tripper threshold at front door. Decent value.

What a lovely find in the heart of Bergen. Stayed 4 nights, 10 minute walk from bybannen, 3 minutes from Floyen. Stayed on the 5th floor, a little bit noisy with the night club but closing the window solved that problem. The room was lovely and spotless. Absolutely wonderful and helpful staff, fabulous breakfast and proper coffee . The bar offered free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water 24/7. Sirene and all the team thank you for a wonderful stay.
Avoid when visiting Bergen. The hotel feels like a lottery—you might get a reasonably sized room or a very small one, and you won’t know until you check in. The price seems irrelevant. We were two people checking in at the same time, on the same booking and with the same room category, yet we received completely different rooms—one large, one very small. The smaller room had barely any space to move, no desk, a charging outlet placed awkwardly in the middle of the bed area, and an extremely small sink. This was at a premium price. We will definitely choose somewhere else next time we visit Bergen.
The biggest highlight of this place is the location. We found the hotel to be extremely well situated, right near the harbor and within easy walking distance of the main attractions. It is hard to beat in terms of convenience. Our room was also exceptionally clean upon arrival. Everything felt well maintained, and housekeeping clearly does a great job. In terms of amenities, the room included the standard features we would expect from a four star hotel. However, the major downside, and it is a significant one, is the size of the room. For a superior room in a four star property, we expected noticeably more space. Instead, the room felt very cramped. There was barely enough space to move around the bed, and basic tasks became inconvenient. Opening the fridge required moving furniture, accessing the safe meant kneeling down and shifting things around, and parts of the shelving were difficult to use without rearranging the room. Even the bathroom, just slightly larger than an airplane lavatory, felt very tight. It was not possible to turn comfortably in the shower, as the width was barely sufficient. The hotel itself is small, which is not necessarily a problem, but the name does not really set that expectation. If it were positioned more clearly as a boutique hotel in a historic building, the limited space and amenities might feel more aligned with what we expected. That said, the staff were friendly, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. The hotel serves its purpose well and is not a bad choice, but we would recommend being aware that the rooms are small.
We stayed for 2+1 nights at this lovely hotel near the marina. It gave us easy access for the funicular, Markthalle, Bryggen and it's fortress, and the Torget bus stop! The Receptionists on duty whilst we were there were extremely helpful and courteous. We greatly appreciated their assistance when we realised we had made a wrong booking! They were quick to sort it out for us. The rooms are well-appointed, warm (we visited in March 2026), with space for luggage. Breakfasts are excellent, with a wide range of items: cooked, deli, breads, cereals, fruit, coffees, teas and juices. All comes with a smile and a 'Good morning!' Hej, hej.
