Mesmerizing Ile Aux Cerf: Speed Boat, Grse, Lunch & Undersea Walk (Full Day)

What a tour. So beautiful. We went in their winter, so it was not very crowded. Underwater walk was fun but again we were only 5 of us, so not sure how does it feels when crowded. Water was bit chilly but we didn’t mind. Lunch was delicious overall, tons of fun,

The speed boat was great fun, the BBQ lunch was excellent. There was little to do on the Ile aux Cerf in the 2 hour period between landing and being collected again for lunch. Sadly, the information desk staff at the beach itself were particularly unhelpful and disinterested. Lunch was very well organised, delicious and generous. The undersea walk was a bit meh. The helmets were exceedingly heavy, there was no "walk" as such - we stood on the sea bottom and saw a few zebra fish that were attracted by food in a squeezy bottle total time less than 10 minutes.. We were nowhere near the reef and saw no other fish or any live corals. The staff were very upbeat and friendly. We really enjoyed the speedboat and BBQ, but the rest was missable. There are other trips available that involve beach BBQs and more boat stuff - have a careful look!

This was such a great day!! The pick up and drop off at the hotel was on time, the speed boat was so fun. This was a very well organised day. The undersea walk and BBQ lunch were the biggest highlights. At the BBQ lunch we had enough time to enjoy the food with lots of rum #morerum and swim after.

The underwater walking was amazing The trip was good although a bit of organised chaos to start with getting on to boats and changing on to other ones as there were different types of activities going on. The buffet lunch was lovely sitting looking out to sea All in all a great trip

Staff very helpful and kept us calm when we were feeling nervous - highly recommended to do sea walk. A very experienced staff.

15min sea walk was good after that it went down hill , no water offered , left on a shopping beach where every thing cost from sun beds to sun shades nothing to do unless you £££ fast trip up a river to see water fall but no stopping to see wild life , then dumped on another small lump of sand for lunch ( burnt and low quality ) no toilets' nothing to do for 2 hrs then waited for 40 min for driver to turn up

Pick-up from the hotel was delayed, I think the driver was still at home when I got in touch with them. We got dropped off at the underwater walk place with very little explanation and walked to the beach to find no one. We eventually got told the boat will be coming soon. The experience itself was absolutely amazing and I can fully recommend it. The video and pictures are an additional 1500 Rupees and it’s on an USB stick. We then got a speedboat to Isle of Cerfs where you can opt for additional activities at cost or sit at the bar- again not included. Or you can walk the beach- where I don’t get the hype, the water smells and it’s knee deep and slightly dirty. Anyway, 2 hours of time wasting here and some more delays for the boat pick-up. The ride to the waterfalls was awesome, the captain made sure speed boat experience exactly that- fast and super fast. Great snaps at the waterfalls where he took us as close as the boat went. And then lunch- starter was garlic bread, rice and some potato salad. Then 1 piece of sausage, one chargrilled chicken thigh and some overcooked fish. Then a grilled banana. And some drinks, not unlimited as they run out of rum. Overall it was an ok day but overpriced for what it was. It is cheaper to book locally.

The transport to and from the activities was excellent. We were taken first to the undersea walk where unfortunately we had to wait an hour as the business was not open. Communication through this activity was lacking somewhat but eventually we were taken out by boat and the undersea walk itself was fantastic. The trip to Ile aux Cerfs was great, lots of things to do there including tubing, parasailing or just walking along the stunning beaches. The afternoon BBQ was delicious and we were treated to some live music, however at that point we felt this part of the trip we could have done without. That's a personal preference however and no reflection on the staff that put it together. The trip was quite costly for what it was and we subsequently found out that this trip could have been organised a lot cheaper through local reps, so something worth considering.

A very well organised trip...the speed boat, waterfall visit, island meal and undersea walk all well worth doing. You are in safe hands and it's good value!

Nice your, and relaxing day well spent! Highlight was the under sea walk! Aqua Sea that organised the walk was simply superb! The speed boat ride, barbecue by the beach made it a complete experience

Picked up early by taxi driver. Took to underwater walk location which was great - had over 15 mins and lots of fish. Then to speed Boat for trip to Ile aux Cerfs where kids did a supplementary windsurf for 5 mins (2500r). Then to beach for a basic BBQ - not at all bad - pretty tasty - “garlic” bread, potatoes, rice, 2 piece of chicken, some overcooked marlin, and BBQ banana with drinks. Also tried a sea urchin for 200r extra. Ride back to transfer was lots of fun as speedboat driver was going very fast and banking over 45 degrees! It’s expensive but it’s a good experience- could have done without Ile aux Cerfs

Lovely island, lovely waterfall and the beach bbq food was really nice and on a different part of the beach. You can explore the island or you can go parasailing or on a glass bottom boat or just enjoy

We enjoyed our trip and the guides were knowledgeable and informative. However, we were a little disappointed by the undersea walk as there was 1 instructor in the water that left you to get the other walkers which panicked a couple of the people on the experience. The people that walked around felt that there wasn’t much to look at and would have liked to have seen something different like some coral but it was all fish. Also the lunch on the island was not great! They should offer variety for vegetarians as there was only rice and bread. Where the bbq lunch was, there were no toilets and these should really be provided due to alcohol and drinks being given. Bit annoyed that no drinks were offered from after the undersea walk to the bbq. On previous trips, we have had water and soft drinks provided. The boat and taxi driver we both very good!

An excellent day, would highly recommend. Under sea walking is a great experience, speed boat was mad, waterfall was amazing, monkeys very cute food good. Pick up was a bit late but the day just went with the flow and we had a great day on our 30th wedding anniversary!

Everything was very punctual on-time. Staff friendly. Dont expect some big feast, but food was tasty and location on the beach was nice (natural beach without bathroom). Undersea walk was perfect and island is also beautiful.

Great trip.. We had a blast at Ile au cerfs island. The undersea walk was great. we saw a lot of fish. the speed boat ride was thrilling and great. Food was good. Our driver aniket gave us some tips and recommendation about mauritius. Overrall we had a great tour

Catastrophic. We paid for an excursion with walking underwater. We were "trimmed into a boat. Despite our "ticket" no Mauritian cared about our program. No matter how much we talk about it. No one was listening to us. They were talking to each other and just wanted tips. We dreamed of this walk underwater and we were left 3 hours on an ugly island. And no word on the refund. It was yesterday Saturday 29 December 2025

Unfortunately not perfect, underwater walk a lot out and partial reimbursement was ridiculously low. TripAdvisor didn't help either, by the way.

We enjoyed it! Picked up at the hotel by an experienced and friendly driver .Fun activities and stunning nature! With a good lunch included!

The trip was good overall, great views, lovely experiences, the only thing you could have skipped was the underwater hike, you get off the boat for 5-7 minutes, you stand in the water, the guide takes a few photos, if you buy the SD card for 25 euros beforehand... the photos are not good quality, very distorted, you can skip them and that's it, back up again, far from the hike... We thought that you could maybe move around freely for a few meters with the guide of course... flop, profiteering... Otherwise everyone tried very hard and it worked out.

Overall a nice excursion. The taxi that took us to the starting point and brought us back to the hotel was super friendly. Deer Island was fortunately not overcrowded. We really liked the underwater ride with the diving suits. We were able to feed fish. However, remember to bring your money because EVERYTHING costs money on site. Activities offered (if you don't do any, the time will be very long), deckchairs available to wait for the boats, sea urchins to enjoy during the meal... The meal was okay but not amazing. In short, the price is much too high for the service knowing that other people have paid less than €100 per head using another service provider. I recommend the Northern Islands by catamaran which are much more heavenly

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dieser Tour. Wir wurden von einem sehr netten Fahrer im Hotel abgeholt und von einem Spot zum anderen gefahren. Die Unterwasserwanderung hat auch reibungslos geklappt. Wir waren nur zwei Paare, sodass der Guide jederzeit seine“Taucher“ betreut hat. Er hat sogar mit unserer Privatkamera Aufnahmen gemacht.Die Speedboottour war aufregend und das Barbecue sehr köstlich. Am Wasserfall stauten sich die Boote etwas, aber wir haben alles sehen können. Alles in Allem ein sehr gelungener Ausflug, den man vor Ort gar nicht buchen konnte. Sehr zu empfehlen!
