Mauritius : Full Day All Inclusive Ile Aux Cerfs Catamaran Cruise

It was a good experience. The trip was perfectly organized. The snorkeling area wasn't good though as there were barely any fish. Food & hospitality was good. Special thanks to Sam & Emanuella (sorry, if am spelling it incorrectly). Visit to the waterfall & Ile Aux Cerfs were awesome. Definitely recommended.

This is a great excursion! The ride there is gorgeous. We were lucky enough to also see dolphins! The time at the island was okay, really not much to do and its average. Definitely bring some cash if you’re interested in drinks or ice cream. The BBQ lunch was absolutely delicious! We were well taken care of from start to finish.

Fun day out on the beautiful ocean along with easy transfer to and from. A wonderful driver to get me to and from the boat, along with a really fun crew onboard always ensuring you had what you need in any moment. Highly recommended booking from from Sam Tours!

We were up at our hotel by our driver Vicky who chauffeured us on both legs of our journey. Vicky was professional and friendly and when we arrived at our destination, located the jetty for us and explained the return journey arrangements. He was there to meet us ready for our trip home too. The crew were fantastic (3) and made the trip one to remember. The catamaran was very spacious with lots of shaded area for those that required this - for those that wished for the sailing experience there was plenty of space on the front, including lounging on the nets. The details were expertly explained both when boarding and during our trip. There were about 30 sailors in total which worked well and still allowed lots of space. Two toilets were on board if needed. The food was superb - sausages, chicken skewers and tuna were bbq’d by the crew on our journey and these were accompanied by lovely salads - plenty for everyone. Breakfast was fresh croissants and hot drinks. There was a good selection of both alcoholic and non alcohol beverages - the jungle juice packs a punch so be warned!! We saw the waterfall, monkeys, had a great time snorkelling in shallow seas and beautiful fish and spent just over an hour on the island. Nothing felt rushed and timings worked for us. All in all a fabulous day which we would totally recommend. Our intial trip had been cancelled due to ‘catastrophic’ weather conditions but we soon rebooked and felt reassured that safety was key. Our initial trip had been booked some weeks before travel but Viator honoured our original discount code, which was very appreciated.

Pick up was great. Trip was ok. Would have preferred another snorkel stop rather than going to the island. Still not everyone is the same so no complaints really.

It won't be the most modern Catamaran on the water, but you'll be hard pressed find a trip where you are better looked after...with large amounts of drinks and food, and a friendly crew making it a great day trip. Saw dolphins too, which was a bonus. The hotel pick up worked well, and got us there on time. The only negative is not really the fault of the boat, but the Ile aux cerfs island itself was the least impressive part of the trip for me. The snorkelling, waterfall and dolphins were more interesting, and the little island didn't seem to offer anything that the main Mauritius island didn't have - at least in our resort in Belle Mare. The island felt a bit like a money making racket for the gift shop and the water activities, and I imagine the boat trip companies get some money for bringing people to the island where there is no much else to do. You even disembark and reboard through the gift shop and passed the clutches of the water sports people.

Great day out- fab organisation, lovely boat and staff were attentive and great fun. Lived the ‘jungle juice’ and ‘afternoon coffee’. We laughed a lot. Bonus was seeing dolphins and monkeys

A nice day to relax, the katamaran was comfortable there were palce for all to lay and chill, crew was nice and food was good. The activities (snorkell and the cascade) were short but perfect and then time at the island was good to swim and relax.

Have to say this was one of the best trips I’ve taken recently. Pick up on time with a friendly driver who was keen to talk about the island. A very warm welcome aboard by Captain and crew Edna both of whom went out of their way to make the day go well. Flowing drinks as wanted and a wonderful lunch. A great opportunity to see more of the island and to explore isle aux cerfs which is beautiful and not to be missed. A cruise back and a wonderful journey home with the same amazing and informative driver. Great value for money and a day well spent.

The excursion itself is ok, but the friendly and attentive staff made it special. The girl (don’t remember her name) was very attentive always caring for the guests. We had fun dancing all the way back to the port.

Had the best day with the crew on the catamaran. We even stopped the engine and lifted the sails. Great food and hospitality although music could have been better. Loved it thank you!!

The actual trip was great but the contact was lacking. We waited outside the cruise ship. They provided no details or contact numbers. I finally had to find Sam's Travel on Facebook

Excellent day out with my two young sons. We were a little unlucky with the weather (it rained a bit), but the crew did a fantastic job in keeping us all entertained, fed and always refilling our glasses! We even got to see some dolphins, and the captain let my sons take turns in steering the boat. The crew were super friendly and fun, the catamaran was beautiful and really was the joy of the trip. The beaches were lovely and it was nice to see a different part of the island. Very much recommend this excursion to anyone - with or without kids, it really is a great time out at sea.

The actual Catamaran trip and staff was great. Food, bbq cooked on board was plentiful and tasty. The boat was cleam with plenty of shade areas. Only downside would be the driver -Nabil- who picked us up and dropped us back at the hotel (after waiting for 10 mins with no word or apology for why the delay). The trip down from north island was lengthy (2 hrs) in rush hour). But I was more concerned with the driver 'lane hopping' every few minutes as well as texting while driving & writing in his diary while we were stuck in traffic. The catamaran company should look into this!

We had an amazing day on the catamaran to Ile Aux Cerf. The trip was about 6 and a half hours and included stunning snorkelling, views of waterfalls and then a brief visit to Ile Aux Cerf . Amazing bbq lunch and all drinks were included. The crew were outstanding and couldn’t do enough for us. It was one of the best days we’ve ever had on any holiday and thoroughly good value for money in our opinion.

The trip was fantastic from start to finish! I was picked up from my hotel by a taxi and driven to the Preskil resort where a brand new catamaran was waiting for us. The best on the tour was that it was only 6 of us on the trip! We had the whole boat to ourselves. Two captains started us with coffee and pastries while smoothly sailing to our snorkling stop. We had plenty of time to dive and swimm. My only complaint is that the sea was too shallow! I would have loved to have swam in a deep sea so I wouldn't scratch myself on the rocks again. On the way to the island we were served a lovely lunch and as many drinks as we wanted. The Ile aux Cerfs island was nice to see and swimm around. You have to pay there for the sun deckchairs. We had plenty of time to relax and swimm. On a way back it was again a smooth sailing with drinks and snacks. Thank you all very much for a great trip!

This is such a relaxing way to enjoy the scenery, it does everything it says on the tin and didn’t disappoint. Food was plentiful and so was the drinks. The beach stop was a beautiful location.

This tour was AMAZING!!! I was so worried about the weather cause the forecasts wasn’t so good, but the owner of the agency assured me that the weather wouldn’t be a problem! and be was right! So trust on what they say and not on what forecasts say!! our driver pick up us at our apartment, once we arrived at the pier we embark on a small boat to reach the catamaran. It was easy to embark also for people not too young thanks to the stairs! The navigation, with snorkeling, the little excursion to the fall, Ile aux cerfs and the buffet on board, everything was amazing and the catamaran staff was kind, very nice and attentive with all of us and always available to our needs with a smile!!

A great day out all round . Captain and crew were amazing . Driver pick up at both ends were spot on time . Food was excellent with loads of it . Drinks were flowing and crew were constantly topping up or serving for you so no need to ask . Boat was clean . Music was great - all genres and not too loud . Well worth the money . Highly recommend.

What a lovely day ! The crew were exceptional , Roman really went the extra mile to make our day amazing. The boat was clean , not overloaded like the other boats. Overall a great experience, only keep in mind they do not take you to the waterfall as per older pictures because it is now too muddy to travel to with the Catamaran boat.

Picked up at the hotel, delivered to the boat, visited waterfall, delightful lunch on board, visited a lovely beach, back on the boat, collected by taxi driver and returned to hotel. A great day out with nice food and company. This isn't a booze cruise, but there was plenty of food and drink - with a more chilled out vibe.

I enjoyed the stops and the snorkeling. The catamaran was a bit dated. And older than the other ones on the water.

The tour is very good, and it's worth every penny. The guys on the catamaran are very friendly and nice. I really recommend it!

I chose this cruise because of it's good reviews compared to others and glad I did. Our family had a magic day on this boat. The boat was clean and well maintained it was not overcrowded but the best part was the welcoming and attentive crew throughout the day. My family and I have been disappointed that our overall experience with the locals in Mauritius has not been as welcoming and warm as we had imagined so when we interacted with the lively and warm crew on this boat it gave us hope that people here are friendly. The lunch and drinks were plentiful and delicious. The crew were always asking to refresh your drinks and make some jokes along the way - it was clear they loved their job. Our driver to and from the boat was on time and full of local knowledge. He again was very warm and friendly. I can't recommend this cruise any more highly it was a fantastic day.

Great day on board the catamaran. Driver who picked us up was professional, friendly and on time. The day was great with snorkelling and visiting a small waterfall along the way. On the 10 person catamaran, the captain and his crew were attentive and friendly. Lunch was delicious and fresh. Breakfast was coffee and biscuits. The island itself was a bit touristy but still worth it. Unfortunately we were only 1 hour on the island, which was a bit short. If you’d like more time there, take a direct boat. But this was a great day out on the water!

Amazing trip with a great crew - Just a couple of things to bear in mind - there was no breakfast just a coffee, tea, soft drink and a biscuit for me that does not constitute breakfast which was advertised - if you want more than 1/2 hour snorkeling you’re out of luck one stop for snorkeling just under 30 minutes. Transfer was on time - great driver but was by taxi and the taxi was really only big enough for 3 large adults - we were four so quite cramped for a one hour 10 minute transfer Lunch was really nice but no vege option for those that were - chicken, chicken sausage and amazing fish - would recommend trip

Beautiful experience with a beautiful day. Crew was nice Plenty of beer and wine and great food. The falls they took us to were okay but we were stuck in a little boat and had to wait in line to see the falls but that's the tourist thing. The other beach they took us to was very sweet and beautiful and we spent almost 2 hours on the beach there and then loaded back up on the catamaran and hit a parasailing adventure on the way back. All in all it was a lot of fun.

This tour was well organized and all the crew did a great job of looking after us all through the day. The views around were stunning as were the places we visited. The boat was clean and in good condition. The number of people were comfortably accommodated. Enjoyable day!

This trip was worth the money. The crew was brilliant. We had a lovely swim and a chance to snorkel. The crew made us a fantastic lunch of fish, chicken, salad,and potatoes, then fruit to finish. I can honestly recommend this to anyone coming to Mauritius.

Apart from rainy weather, the day was very enjoyable. The food was good, the staff was helpful and the background music fully completed the experience. I felt like the boat was a bit overcrowded, which meant not everyone could sit and relax on the deck. However overall, I would recommend this experience.

Loved, loved, loved it! I had the most amazing time on this trip! The staff couldn't do enough for you, they were so attentive and tool great care of us on the Catamaran. Drinks were flowing, lunch was delicious and the view spectacular. We even saw dolphins on our way back. What can I say, I will never forget this tour!

It was a very great cruise! Love it and very recommend it. I am deducting one star only because the booking company didn’t explain correctly to the taxi driver where we need to be dropped off to get on the boat. We had to wait and really stress until the people who were there managed to help us in this situation.

Good crew. Nice boat lovely BBQ very professional. Could maybe do with another stop of snorkeling instead of 1 and then the island.

From being picked up by the lovely Raj, we enjoyed a full day cruising and snorkelling , followed by a delicious lunch and a walk on Ile Aux Cerf island. What a great day.

Catamaran cruise was fantastic! Hotel pickup and drop off was on-time and easy. The Catamaran crew was great and made the cruise entertaining. You can snorkel and swim at the designated spot if you choose too. Good food and drinks. Worth the price and would do it again.

The whole trip was breathtaking. It's a 6 hours trip but at the end of the day it felt like couple of hours

Lovely day going to ile aux cerfs and GRSE waterfall with an attentive boat crew. We also happened upon some monkeys and saw dolphins during the boat trip. My driver Raj who brought me back and forth from my hotel in the north was also very amiable and knowledgeable. In short, I’d recommend this tour particularly if you need transportation for the tours.

Really good day out, starting with the transfer from our hotel - lovely guy who was early and had to transport us for one hour as part of the package. The day itself was lovely - great tour on a beautiful boat. The guys on the boat were generous hosts making sure we understood everything, that we were safe and kept us supplied with food and drink all day long. The island is picturesque and we had 1.5 hours there, swimming and sunning ourselves before moving on to our next place . You could just go there for a day out under your own steam - plenty of boats do “bus services”. Recommend to all.
