The hike was an outstanding experience. Guided by a seasoned guide, we hiked in the lush forests and got to see the beautiful waterfalls. It was great that there was time to take in the scenery and enjoy the nature. The lunch was also excellent. Prepare to hike in rough and slippery terrain at times. Best suites for adults with no difficulties with moving. Well worth the fee in my opinion
Hike was the best part of our trip! Amazing tour guide and also amazing transportation driver!! They both took great care of us. The hike was beautiful and so unreal! Would absolutely recommend 10/10!
Our driver Agi was very punctual and sympathetic. He explained a lot about Mauritius and we had a great time during the transfer. Our guide Daryeau was very experienced and explained a lot about the plants and animals in the area. He also took creative photos of us. The highlight was swimming in front of a waterfall.
This was by far the best day for us in Mauritius. It is not an easy hike but worth the effort our guide Tee was very knowledgeable and experienced at helping you navigate the path into and out of the river gorge. I saw people of all ages and fitness levels on the hike. The mini lunch was tasty and filling. Have the fish clean your feet was an added bonus 😁
My wife Chiara Stanton-Marangoni and I, Gabriele Marangoni, booked the above excursion from the UK before our holiday in Mauritius. I would like to report several serious issues we had with this tour today. The excursion, described as a full day tour lasted from 8am till 1pm only. No 3 course meal as agreed was provided. We finished the excursion at 11.30 and then the taxi to pick us up showed up after 1 hr at 12.30 and we were left waiting on a tarmac road with no shade. The guide called David was atrocious. He did not speak almost all time and seemed to not care at all. We tried to get in touch with the local agency but the guide refused and said his battery was flat (at 11.30 am). At 12.30 a guy came to pick us up and then once in the car he said he was not the driver but he will bring us to the driver. He took a “short cut” as he said. We were worried he would take us to a secluded place and take our money/phones and leave us stranded. Fortunately that was not the case and a proper driver eventually brought us back to the hotel. To summarise we want our excursion full fee to be refunded given the obvious lies about the tour and the stress we had to endure.
The hike was quite a challenging one - and was well organised from pickup to drop off. The hike was well worth the effort, as the views were delightful, be warned - the guide does move quite quickly!
It's a beautiful spot and worth the effort but it's definitely on the more physically demanding side of a hike. Younger fit people should have no real issue but for older even fit-ish people it's a bit of a slog. It would really help to have a guide on what to take but definitely good shoes , water , insect repellant and Sun block. They do supply water but forgot to give it to us and we thought the guide would have it. There's a pretty steep decent to start the hike and it's all rocks roots and trees. A couple of short but steep climbs are involved. Our guide David was very quiet unlike the other guides we encountered and that's cost them a star. But we're not sorry we did it. About 3-4 hours all up and you can move at your own pace. BTW we loved the local food supplied
The tour was perfectly guided by Daryeau who gave a lot of interesting information about the region and local plants as well as inside information about the falls.

7 Cascades hike with the best guide there could be- Doryeau Ramalingum! We were a bit worried because there were so many mixed reviews on this hike ( that it was difficult etc) - thankfully we did this and Daryeau was definitely amazing. He is so fond of sharing his knowledge on Mauritius, indigenous plants, medicinal and culinary purposes of plants and he guided us so well throughout all the trip. We had booked via Viator website and this included lunch which Daryeau kindly prepared for us homemade ©. We didnt find the hike as difficult as we thought it would be so I would definitely recommend this especially with Doryeau!
The hike itself was nice, but the added value was overall low. Aside of actually guiding our way, we didnt get much useful/extra information from the guide. Also, i wouldnt call what we got as 3 course lunch - it was just a quick snack.
The guide Daryus was amazing, nice and helpful! The place is really wonderful, immersive in the nature of Mauritius. Take with you your trekking shoes as the way it is tricky to climb. Take your swim suit as you can swim under the waterfalls. Really recommended!
Our guide Daryeau was very good and also has an enormous wealth of knowledge on flora and fauna. We tasted black pepper and was given may uses for different plants. We'd utilise his services again if ever in Mauritius and would highly recommend. The swim in the waterfall towards the bottom was refreshing and something I'd never experienced before. Our lunch was homemade and was very tasty consisting of roti and samosa. This tour is advertised as moderate capability, I would suggest that its more challenging than that. Its a steep descent over boulders and rough terrain and climbing back up is challenging. Thoroughly enjoyable just a little challenging!
Had a brilliant time on this tour. Our guide Daryeau was a great guide. We felt very safe even though some parts of the hike were a bit challenging. He also told us lots of interesting information about the local wildlife. It was a bit cold for swimming, but we took plenty of time enjoying the stunning scenery, the fish pedicure and a delicious Mauritian lunch. My only issue is with Viator (hence 4 stars) as we paid significantly more to book this tour because it was listed as a full day hike rather than the other half day tours. However, this was only 4 hours long so we got a bit ripped off! We booked Daryeau for a separate hike of Le Morne, which was fantastic again!
The waterfalls are really beautiful. It is worth the Trip. Our guide Kenny and our driver Bilal were really nice. Our Driver provided us with tips about local cuisine, music and locations to visit. He picked us up on time and was overall very reliable. There is no need for special hiking equipment, regular sneakers or shoes are enough. The lunch consisted of two different local vegetarian dishes and was tasty.
Absolutely breathtaking views and a real once in a lifetime experience BUT as it has been raining recently the way up and down was extremely slippery and requires good footwear and an average physical condition. Be aware you will likely ache the next day after this trip. Still very much worth it through
Jason was a good guide. However we did not receive any lunch or drinks despite this page including that in the price, it was a full day but instead the tour finished after 3 hours, and when I raised this with viator they told me that I should "read the description properly before booking". It's very disappointing and I would discourage others from booking with viator.
The falls were beautiful and it was fun to swim under them. The path was quite slippery due to recent rainfall. The path also required a lot of climbing over boulders. Daryeau was our guide and he was fantastic. He assisted my almost 80 year old mother quite often and made sure she could get through the path safely… and he was patient with her and made her feel like it wasn’t a problem. He also took some pretty funny pictures of us both! Our driver who picked us up seemed to love driving and it showed, both in his car and also in how attentive he was to the road.
Our guide Jason was amazing. One of the most peaceful hikes! I would recommend it to anyone that loves being around nature.
We had a great day hiking to the 7 Cascades. Our guide Daryeau was fantastic. He had impressive knowledge of the flora and fauna and was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Lunch was tasty and home cooked. The hike is very taxing and suitable footwear is important but it’s well worth the effort.
We had an amazing time with our tour guide Daryeau. The hike was challenging but he led us well and encouraged us when we needed it. He provided snacks that were homemade by his wife! Amazing! The views were beautiful and worth the effort. He also stopped and took many photos for us.
Im not a hiking lovers, but I have truly fall in love with this magnificent 7 waterfalls. it is so natural and so beautiful. The guide Govind was very attentive and he is a very experienced guide. we had a picnic lunch which was truly amazing. The water was cool and especially the natural fish spa :D. Will surely reccomend..
The waterfalls and views from there were beautiful. The hike was suprisingly steep, but the guide was very good and he made the climb easy (but it requires quite good physical condition). The driver picked us up at the hotel and the drive from Le Morne to the waterfalls was a serpentine road with beautiful views and the driver also stopped so that we could photograph the views which was nice. Would recommend this trip!
Had a brilliant day out hiking. You need to be physically fit to manage the steep slopes and tricky terrain. Decent walking shoes are a must as it can be very slippery when its been raining as its muddy. We were guided by diya who was excellent and gave us lots of information about the falls. We would highly recommend this trip as something different to see, we were even treated to a free fish pedicure! you wont be disappointed it's a fantastic day out

The hike was quite athletic but the guide was perfect. Very professional, attentive to everyone, fun. The pickup by Radhika was very professional, punctual, smiling, and full of good advice. I highly recommend it
We were guided by a knowledgeable and fun guide who really adapted the day to us. Security was set high and it went at a calm pace. Winding and slippery trail went through tropical forest until beautiful valley with waterfall. We enjoyed the sun and bathed in small lagoons with waterfalls.
After our first hike to Morne Brabant place with 7 waterfalls. Super half day with Sanjeev, a guide listening , vigilant, super nice and who made us discover its beauties of nature and the flora that surround it. We spent half a day visiting the 7 waterfalls with Sanjeev Sanjeev he is listening. They helped us on the hike so we wouldn't fall. The explanations about the waterfalls , fauna and flora were great . And then he is an outstanding photographer who do not hesitate to place this a few cm from the void to have great memories for us. The hike with Daryeau to the Tamarind Falls was wonderful and highly recommended. The guide responded very well to the group, gave assistance with challenging passages and explained the flora and fauna along the route superbly. In addition to information about trees along the way, there is also super exciting information about natural medicinal plants in Mauritius. Swimming in one of the pools below the falls was a unique experience and the lunch break with homemade snacks from Daryeau was also very delicious. In addition, Daryeau took super nice photos for everyone. The transfers from and to the hotel also worked great and were very interesting through the discussions with the driver (Sahil). Total 100% recommendation!

Very nice trip, a bit strenuous, but you are rewarded with great views! Very nice guide. They always offer a German guide, we choose the trips accordingly, but unfortunately it is not the case, but that was the only drawback.

I recommend this trip 100%. We had a beautiful view of the landscape and of course the waterfalls from so many places. We even swam in one of the waterfalls. Our guide told us so many great things. He felt he knew every plant there and knew what or you can use it for. Very nice photos have been taken. Everyone should take this trip!
