The Residence Mauritius

Unfortunately, the stay was below expectation, impacted by many negative factors, starting with the uncontrolled stray dogs on the beach, which hindered us from enjoying the setting on the beach for which we had paid. Even the foods we dined were not Halal certified, which was severely disturbing to our stay as Muslims. Also, the water bottles supplied were not duly factory-sealed, which concerned us about the quality of the water and drove us to buy water from outside the hotel. The privacy as well was not professionally respected by the hotel staff, as staff members were entering the rooms without prior excuse from us. The pest control as well was not at an acceptable level, as we found a centipede beside our clothes.

We had a wonderful stay at The Residence Mauritius. Everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is peaceful, relaxing, and extremely comfortable, making it the perfect place to unwind. The cleanliness was impeccable throughout the resort, and the dinner food was excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes every evening. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warm hospitality made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The beach was beautiful and spotless, with crystal-clear turquoise water and a well-maintained shoreline. The beach staff were especially attentive and caring, always making sure guests were comfortable and well looked after. We also enjoyed the excellent sports facilities and activities available. The tennis facilities were great, and there was a wide range of water sports to choose from, which made our stay even more enjoyable and active. We highly recommend The Residence Mauritius and would be delighted to return in the future.🩵🩵🩵

Amazing stay at The Residence Mauritius! The food was excellent with a great variety and different themes every night. The service was outstanding, from housekeeping and butler service to the beach staff. We loved all the complimentary activities, especially the snorkeling and kayaking. The beach and views are absolutely stunning, the spa massage was fantastic, and the gym is very well equipped. The only small downside was that drinks were a bit pricey. Mauritius is an incredible destination, and The Residence made our trip even more special. We will definitely be back next year!

Not Worth the price. Very disappointing stay. This hotel is definitely not a 5-star hotel. The rooms smelled old and musty, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. There was dust everywhere in the room, making it obvious that the rooms were not properly cleaned. It seemed that housekeeping only changed the bed sheets and towels instead of actually cleaning the room. We even found cockroaches and other insects in the room, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel, especially one claiming to be a 5-star property. The food quality was poor and at best average. The selection was limited, and the taste and quality did not meet the expectations of a 5-star resort. The only positive aspect of our stay was the staff. They were always friendly, polite, and helpful. Unfortunately, their excellent service could not make up for the poor hygiene, outdated and musty rooms, and disappointing food. Overall, this hotel falls far short of the standards it advertises and certainly does not deserve a 5-star rating. I can only explain the many positive comments as being fake.
