Private Transfer: Bze Intl Airport Or Water Taxi To San Ignacio

Comfortable car with nice driver who knew a lot about Belize. Very pleasant ride through the country side and small villages.

Terrific private transfer service. We were picked up at the Belize City ferry terminal next to baggage claim right on time, no need to hunt around for a pick up location. The drive was fine, and our driver related interesting tidbits about Belize. It wasn’t a non-stop narration, but just the right amount of discussion. We were dropped at our hotel, which is outside the San Ignacio city limits (some services don’t do this) and he waited with us until the desk clerk could make it back to the office. Excellent service and a hassle free ride. I highly recommend it.

Our flight was an hour late for arrival ☹️Josh was waiting for us. We mentioned we were hungry and Josh suggested a place. We stopped at a great little road side restaurant for lunch. Josh was very pleasant and answered all our questions about this country. Josh is a very skilled driver. We’d love to to have Josh be our driver again.

We had a rough flight from Orlando to Belize City, with floods affecting our flights in Miami, so we had last second flight changes that had me on edge regarding our pickup from BZE. Fortunately Terry at Cayo Inland made herself readily available well in advance, and was super easy to get in contact with, and very responsive. I was able to update her with our flight changes, and she made all the adjustments on her end. When we landed and made it through customs, our driver was outside with our name waiting for us. The car was clean, and Wayne, our driver was extremely informative and friendly. Wayne took us to his favorite spot for lunch in between Belize City and San Ignacio. If you need a transfer in Belize, Cayo Inland would be who I recommend.

Our driver Alden is a wonderful ambassador to the country he obviously loves. This wasn’t just a ride from the airport it was a window into a new world. The two hour trip flew by as we were introduced not just to the features of the landscape but to the nuance and complexity of the people and culture of the region. Could not have imagined a better way to start on stay in this amazing country. Thank you!!

It was easy our driver founds us right away. He talked a lot about Belize and it was excellent service and the driver was great.

Germaine was our tour guide and gave us a good start to our trip. He picked us up right outside the airport, which is super small. Great experience and so glad we did this instead of renting a car. We stopped half way and had an amazing lunch at Amigos restaurant.

Our first point of contact in Belize and we were impressed by our travel arrangements. Our driver JP was kind and knowledgeable and gave us lots of great info and pointers which came in quite handy. Great service and our van was clean! We did a coupe of tours with Cayo Inland Expeditions and we absolutely loved them all. Thank you for a great experience and long lasting memories.

Wayne picked us up at the airport and was waiting for us soon as we exited customs. He was very friendly, his vehicle was spotless, and he even made a stop for us to pick up supplies for our stay in San Ignacio.

Our driver, Dimas, was waiting at the airport to transport us to and from San Ignacio/airport. He was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable in answering any of our questions on the drive. Our AirBNB host, Terry, owns Cayo Inland Expeditions and setup the shuttles for us. She was exceptional, going above and beyond, as was her husband. We loved our AirBNB as well as the shuttles and tours they arranged for us. They arranged the ATM tour for us. Jamir was our tour guide and Dimas was our driver. The tour was phenomenal!!! Cannot say enough good things about all of these people and how friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable they all were!

JP, who trades as BelizeInlandExpeditions.com and CayoInlandExpeditions.com, was recommended by the owner of the San Ignacio property we stayed in, for tours and transportation around Belize, and into Tikal, Guatemala. We were not aware there was a family connection between the owner and JP. We made clear in extensive email-communication when booking transport, that we were 4 tall people, with lots of luggage (4 large suitcases, 4 smaller suitcases, plus hand luggage, etc), and would therefore need a large comfortable vehicle. On the first journey, where JP provided transport directly, (40 minutes), a pick-up truck was used and 3 of us were bundled into the back with lots of luggage, totally cramped. The driver (Wayne) apologised profusely, and told us another larger vehicle was not available. He further assured us that we would not have this vehicle again, particularly on the 3.5 hour journey to Placencia, that we had arranged for JP to provide. We were therefore horrified when Wayne collected us in this vehicle, 3 days later, for this 3.5 hour journey! Smooth-talking, he apologised profusely, and said nothing else was available. We were then driven to JP's private house to pay what was owed. JP was surly, unhelpful, and had a total "take-it, or leave-it” attitude. JP took full advantage of the fact that we had no choice but to travel in this unsuitable pick-up truck or be dumped on the roadside with our luggage in San Ignacio with nowhere to stay. We strongly recommend you do not use JP who trades under ‘BelizeInlandExpeditions.com’ and ‘CayoInlandExpeditions.com’
