Little trouble finding the meeting point. If you do, just ask, people will point you in the right direction. Once we found the meeting point, headed off. Aaron our guide was great, and we had an enjoyable day.

Had a great experience with Fred as our guide. He is very knowledgeable. He a life long local and a descendant of the Mayans. The caves were beautiful. The raft ride was very relaxing. Just remember "butts up"! Thank you Fred for a unforgettable time.
Outstanding must do adventure with the whole family! Lunch was local & delicious. Our guide Kingston was fun and so helpful with our big group!!
We had an absolutely amazing experience on our Cave Tubing and Lunch Excursion with Manuel in Belize! Belize had experienced a full week of rain before our arrival, which meant the river was extremely high and the current was very strong. Despite these challenging conditions, Manuel did an incredible job guiding us safely across the river, through the caves, and down the river to our exit point. Manuel even shared that this was the most challenging tour he had ever had to lead because of the river conditions, which made us appreciate his expertise, confidence, and dedication even more. He went above and beyond to make sure we were safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the entire adventure. What stood out most was how he treated us like his own family. His kindness, patience, and genuine concern for our safety meant the world to us, especially under such difficult circumstances. We are immensely grateful for everything he did to make this excursion a memorable experience. If you’re visiting Belize and looking for an unforgettable adventure, we highly recommend this excursion—and especially Manuel as your guide! He truly deserves five stars for his professionalism, outstanding care, and commitment to his guests. Thank you, Manuel, from the bottom of our hearts!** We will never forget this adventure or the incredible guide who helped make it possible! 🇧🇿❤️
My family and I were paired with Jimmy from 5 Star Company and he was amazing. He was great with the kids, excellent locally sourced lunch, and very informative. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely wonderful. Aaron and Peter were fantastic and the experience was unlike anything else. Lunch was also fabulous. 10/10, truly.
Aaron was the best tour guide ever! He has so much knowledge of his wonderful country. Driving out to the location he gave us so many interesting facts. The tubing was a lot of fun. This was a very enjoyable excursion. Would highly recommend it.
The drive to the tubing is about an hour. Wonderful driver and very knowledgeable about Belize and history. The tubing down the river is wonderful. Bring a waterproof camera.
Wonderful if you are able to walk, climb and stand the humidity. I was great. My husband thought he was having a heart attack. It was a long walk, climb and rocks to the starting of the tour. Over a mile to get to van to start excursion. Then it took over an hour to get to the park. Bring water. Swimming shoes is a must. It cost an extra $5 per person to have a float when you reached the starting point... which was at least a mile and 1/2 away. So, better be in pretty good shape. Again, my husband not in the best shape and thought he was going to have a heart attack . He will never do this tour again. Lunch was promised. We got a bottle of water and a tamale. No rice, no beans...no soda. Of course we could buy soda at the way over priced shacks. The tamale was weird. So, bring you own food if you get hungry. The tour guide was very nice. It's just not for the weak. The caves were awesome. So, if you like a long walk, lots of humidity, walking across river rocks, no rest areas or benches, thirst (no water anywhere along the trail) and starvation...then this is your tour.
What a great day! Des was a great guide the overall experience was majestic… who knew you could be pulled along a cave river and just enjoy the peace and serenity whilst learning…. A must do-only draw back was the hour drive each way but Des able to give us a running commentary on his island.. also wear/take crocs or beach shoes to avoid having to rent them at the national park…
Wonderful trip through the caves. Perfect for a HOT day. The boys were great and really took care of us. We are 75 & 79. (Fit and somewhat independent) The floating down stream at the end was so relaxing. Lunch was great and the water very much appreciated. You will not regret booking this trip. It’s a must.
Highlight adventure of our entire trip!! Jimmy & Kenton are the best tour guides! Learned so much, had an amazing time and very much enjoyed experiencing a taste of your country. Kenton went above and beyond! A member of our group lost a shoe due to it falling apart and without thinking Kenton gave the lady HIS shoes! A true gentleman through and through!
Butt Up tour guides were wonderful - very enjoyable experience
Our tour guide was Jimmy and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us the best experience of the tour.
The hike up to the caves was funny and informative. Manuel gave a lot of history on Balize and was very funny.
Cave tubing was PERFECT! This was something I had always wanted to try, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! The experience was so much fun from beginning to end. Our tour guides, Manuel and Peter, were AMAZING! They were extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and FUNNY! 😂 They made sure everyone felt comfortable, stayed engaged, and had a great time throughout the entire experience. You could tell they genuinely cared about making sure we enjoyed ourselves, and their personalities made the tour even more memorable. They were the perfect guides for our group! I would 100% rebook this tour with Manuel and Peter every single time. If you’re considering cave tubing, BOOK IT! You won’t regret it! 🙌🏽🇧🇿 Did I mentioned they served us lunch in the end? YUP
Aaron was the best. Lunch was good, even made an extra stop for us. Tubing was fun, the walk to cave isnt a hike its just long n hot but worth the experience, get quality swim shoes
We were visiting Belize on Royal Caribbean and had a great experience on this excursion! We were able to get the first tender off the ship very easily, which gave us plenty of time to meet our tour for the 9:00 AM start. It was about an hour drive to the cave tubing location. We didn’t bring water shoes, but that wasn’t a problem because you can rent them for $5 per pair when you arrive. We also rented a waterproof phone pouch so we could take pictures during the tubing. You can also pay $5 per tube to have someone carry your tube up to the caves, which was a nice option. The walk to the caves took us at least 30 minutes. Be prepared to walk through several streams and do a little uphill climbing along the way. Once we got to the caves, though, it was absolutely worth it! Floating through the caves was such a cool and unique experience. Our guide tied all of our tubes together, so the group stayed together with him throughout the cave system. Afterward, we had homemade tamales for lunch, and they were delicious! Our tour guide, Manuel, was wonderful and made the whole experience fun and easy. We really enjoyed our day and would definitely recommend this excursion, especially to anyone visiting Belize on a cruise!
Peter was a great host. The tinder boats were slower than usual, but he waited for our whole group so no one missed the excursion. I loved that he was our guide the entire day — picked us up at the terminal, gave us a tour of the town, shared the history of Belize, cracked jokes, took us through the cave, fed us chicken tamales, and brought us back to the terminal. One‑stop shop, and it felt personal — not like we were just another cruise tourist group. The hike is a real rainforest hike — bugs, hills, giant trees, rocks and dirt. I’d call it easy to medium skill level. I hate hiking and didn’t die, so that feels accurate. Wear water shoes and bring a waterproof phone case and a towel. You can buy them from vendors at the beginning of the excursion, but they are pricey. I suggest wearing your bathing suit off the ship, but they do have a clean restroom building where you can change once you get there. The cave was un‑belizable — and the water was “refreshingly” cold. Peter let us float down the river after the cave tour instead of hiking back. That was a 10/10! Butts Up!
Aaron was a great guide and he is a comedian that will make you laugh. We hiked and crossed rivers to get to the cave. It was relaxing floating on the water and eating lunch after. Would definitely recommend tour. Also, if your vegetarian message on viator to make sure you get a lunch that includes this option. Thanks Aaron for a great tour!!!
If I could give 3.5 stars I would. This tour had many highlights but a few lows that outweighed the highs. The pros: The caves you float through in the tubes are beautiful. The scenery was great and the water was refreshing. The guides were friendly and explained the nature we seen along the way. The tamales we ate were also good. The cons: The bus was older and lacked air conditioning ventilation in the rear seats. My wife and I were dreadfully hot back there and the ride was about and hour to the caves and an hour back. We also got a flat tire on the way back to the cruise port. We did get it fixed quickly and made it back to our ship, but the long uncomfortable ride was enough to make what could have been a great trip a disappointing one.
Our tour Jimmy was very knowledgeable and lunch was good the cave was nice saw tiny bats and a waterfall.
Kenton and Peter Morgan were amazing tour guides ..we loved this tour a beautiful walk thru the rain forest and beautiful relaxing tube ride thru the caves ..it was an awesome experience
Booked this trip here instead of going through the cruise line and I’m so happy I did. It was a fraction of the cost and triple the fun! Finding the meet point was extremely easy, I just followed the direction. The group was just my family of four and another family about the same size. Our guides were Kenton & Peter. They both took the time to answer our questions and actually talked to the group. The lunch was absolutely delicious. Peter showed my family the different types of fruit and interesting things about Belize. Book this tour! I would definitely book this tour again. They really are 5-Stars!!!!!!
Very fun and interesting. I would recommend. Pick up and drop off was nice and timely for us to get back to our cruise.
Highly recommend. Definitely bring water shoes, not water socks. If you don’t have any, you can rent them $3. Our guide was wonderful. Very personable and knowledgeable. There is a short walk to get to the river, but it wasn’t a big deal at all. If you don’t want to carry your tube, you can pay $5 to have it there for you when you get there. We paid the five dollars. It was nice to have your hands-free so I could take pictures. The chicken tamales were delicious! After the tour before you leave, there are local vendors.
There’s a couple things to know: - Hour drive to and from park - No flip flops - You have about 30 min hike to the start of the tubing. You can carry your tube or have someone carry it for $5. All that said, it was a very cool experience. The caves we really cool and this group gives you extra time on the river after the cave vs the ship ones that take you out right after the cave. The guides are great and they give you a lot of history and feel for the area during the drive. Recommend the excursion but just go in knowing the above.
Our guides were great. We loved everything. Lunch was 1 tamale with a piece of chicken and a bottle of water. It was really good but not what I would say lunch more like a snack.
Manuel was an awesome guide! It was a rainy day and we missed the departure for the cave tubing so he gave us a fantastic tour of Belize City including the Travelers Rum Factory and lunch at Bird Isle. He is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Belize.
We had a great time on our cave tubing tour with Kenton and Peter who, as one of them joked, were our drivers, tour guides, and waiters for this excursion. Our van was full but not uncomfortable, as our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) was joined by another couple and a family of 6 (including parents, grandparents, and young kids). The instructions for finding the guides were spot on and easy to follow. After a decent drive (45 min?) to the cave area, which included some informative and entertaining commentary, we geared up and hit the water. The hike to the launch point included traversing the river while holding onto a rope and our tubes. It was a little challenging because the river was high and fast that day due to rain over the previous days, but we all made it and the guides were attentive and helpful to the children and others who needed assistance. The hike through the forest was not bad, but I had a little trouble keeping up and feel like I missed out on some of the information. Luckily, Peter hung back with me and did his best to point out notable things and answer any questions I had. The cave tubing itself was incredible. Our group was split into 2 between our 2 guides and each group of tubes was tied together. Although some might like a more independent ride, I was happy for this set up as it made me feel safe and kept my group together with the guide, who did a great job steering us and slowing us down as much as he could as we went through the caves. We got to see bats in the caves as well as stalactites, stalagmites, and various natural formations. On the day we went, the part of the river we went through was not crowded, which made for a pleasant and relaxing experience and made me glad that we booked outside of the cruise line. As another reviewer pointed out, I would have liked to have had a better light because the headlamp was really too dim to use in the bigger caves and so we could only see with the guide's brighter flashlight. I also had trouble hearing some of the tour in the caves due to the loudness of the water and my distance from the guide. I certainly don't blame the guide for this, just wanted to point out. After the tubing, we had a delicious lunch of tamales, local hot sauce, and warm bottled water (would have been nice if it were cold) and then had a little time to explore the few shops, including a unique artist who made beautiful pieces out of butterfly wings. The ride back was relaxing and the tour guide even made a special quick stop to pick up some of the hot sauce we tried for our fellow travelers, so they didn't have to pay the high in-port prices. I'd definitely recommend this tour and I would even take it again on my next trip to Belize!
At the Port it was a bit tricky, but right outside of the Belize cruise port, all of the third party vendors wait with signs. Cave tubing five stars was right there to pick us up. They had many groups going from our ship which was comforting, my only complaint for the van ride was that we didn't have AC in the back. There are many vendors that will approach and ask to take a picture with your phone, sell you bracelets, and braid your hair. Just be prepared. We bought a bracelet, and we had our picture taken. We then boarded a minivan and drove an hour out to Nohoch Cheʼen Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve. The van ride was bumpy but the driver was awesome. He had a great sense of humor, and when we got to the cave tubing he gave us all the information we needed. He described the culture and all of the different peoples, the flora and fauna that make Belize unique. It was very educational and I have such appreciation for the things we take for granted. Especially cashews! The cave tubing itself was well organized, the groups were about eight people, they take safety very seriously. Our guide, I wish I could remember his name, I'm going to call him Captain SpongeBob. He kept my daughter busy by saying "let's go kids" , and my daughter would call l back, "aye aye captain!" The hike is on a well taken care of path, but you have to pass through a few rivers and there are many stones and roots. Anyone can do it though, and if you fall, you fall into this beautiful 70° river water, it's amazing. For reference, I took my 8-year-old daughter and my 14-year-old son. I would definitely do this again, the guides were amazing.
I would not recommend this company if you want to experience cave tubing with your family together. My family of five was booked with two other groups and initially placed in a van. However, the air conditioning was not working in the back, so the company split the passengers into two vehicles. Unfortunately, this resulted in my family being separated. I expressed my concern to our tour guide, Fred, and specifically told him that two members of my family were in the other vehicle. He assured me that everything would be fine and that we would all be together once we arrived at the destination. While we were together briefly after arriving, the problem happened again when it was time for the actual cave tubing excursion. Fred informed us that he would only be taking the group that arrived in his vehicle, meaning my family was separated for a second time. When I raised my concerns, neither Fred nor the other guide seemed interested in finding a solution. I was told that each guide could only take a maximum of eight people. As a customer, staffing limitations should not become my family’s problem. We booked this excursion to enjoy the experience together, yet we spent the actual cave tubing portion separated. During much of the trip, our groups were so far apart that we couldn’t even see each other. As a result, many of our photos and videos do not include our entire family, which was extremely disappointing. This was supposed to be a memorable family experience, but the lack of organization and concern for keeping families together significantly impacted our enjoyment. There are many other tour companies offering cave tubing excursions, and based on my experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
The original van’s A/C wasn’t working so they split us in 2 cars. My son and I were in one and my sister and her kids were in the other. Our original tour guide promised my sister that when we get there we will still be there together. When we got there we all walked with our tubes to the tubing spot but that was when they split us up. One guide took 7 people (my sister and her kids were in this one) and the other took 6 (I was in this one with my son). We weren’t even near each other as the group of 7 took off 5 mins before us. We took our 360 camera with us so we can record our adventure together but we didn’t get to do that. We didn’t get to experience the excursion together which was what we wanted. And other groups I saw had 10 people with one guide so I’m not sure why my sister couldn’t be in my group or vice versa. When we asked if we stick together as a group, they said we have to be grouped with whoever was in the same car. Um, originally we were ALL in the same car. They separated us because THEY gave us the broken A/C car which make us split up. Why did we pay the price for that?
Sorry, the other review that I gave for the cave tubing went on the wrong experience, which was the snorkeling and that one I need to speak to somebody because we canceled it less than 24 hours because the guy again didn’t tell us we were we weren’t gonna be back for our time to get back on the ship so I will be calling you
We had Kenton as a tour guide and he was great very funny and educational . His 10+ years of experience in the caves really shows . He made the walk to the cave quick and the drive was a breeze . Definitely book Kenton for your next cave tour you won’t regret it !
Our cave tubing excursion was an incredible experience from beginning to end. The tour guides were phenomenal. They even waited for our tender to arrive, which we greatly appreciated. Throughout the entire trip, they were energetic, friendly, and constantly sharing useful information, interesting facts, and funny stories. There was never an awkward or boring moment. The walk through the forest was very educational, with the guides explaining the surrounding plants, wildlife, and natural environment. It was advertised as a hike, but it was really more of a comfortable stroll and should be manageable for most people. The cave tubing itself was phenomenal, and we felt safe and well taken care of at all times. My only suggestion would be to provide brighter headlamps, since it was difficult to see certain parts of the cave. I will probably bring my own headlamp next time, but this was only a minor issue. The tamales served afterward were delicious, flavorful, and a great opportunity to try a local dish. The transportation to and from the port was also comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, this was a fun, educational, and well-organized excursion that I would highly recommend.
As a person who loves geology, this was a wonderful excursion, tour guide was amazing!! But definitely bring bug spray for the walk to the cave
A truly unique experience! There are very few places in the world where you can cave tube and Belize is considered the premier destination for it. This tour was well organized and Erin, our guide, was very knowledgeable. I thoroughly enjoyed the outing.
Overall was a great experience but one thing I will say it would have been nice to be told upfront that we need bug spray, waterproof shoes we had to purchase those at the site and we already had on the cruise ship. But we would go again
Peter and Jimmy were awesome. We had a great experience. Felt like we were safe and like family. We were traveling with teenagers which had a blast. Best views in the cave.
We ended up booking this for a group of 7 that included 3 children ages 10, 7, and 5. We were a little apprehensive with the weather that Belize was experiencing that day, but Mr.Myles reassured us that we were in good hands and we are extremely happy that we continued with the tour. Our guides were Kenton and Peter. Kenton is the one who actually took our group down the river. He was very thorough in explaining everything to us, was very personable with my children and overall made the trip very fun for us. We’ve done this trip twice before about 15 years ago and can confidently say that this experience with CaveTubing5Star.com was the best tour we’ve had. The lunch after the tubing was authentic and delicious. Kenton even made a stop along the way back to port to help us buy the hot sauce that they provided. Will definitely book again if we return to Belize. 1000/10 recommend.
We had Chester and mantel. Great guides super funny. You will get a lot of history about Belize. Over good experience
ATV riding was fun. Cenote wasn’t one of the best that we’ve been to. Disappointed in how little we talked about Mayan ruins. Only saw one small temple. Spent more time talking about tequila than Mayan history (we don’t drink so that was a waste of time)
Great relaxing trip! Our guides, Kenton and Chester were great and the food was amazing!............
My experience with 5 Star Cave Tubing was the best I could’ve asked for. They were very quick and made sure we were one of the first groups on the River. After the phenomenal cave experience they fed us delicious food and gave us a short personal tour of Belize City afterwards. A big thank you to Kendrick Anthony (Kenton) he really made the whole trip worth it. Jimmy and Chester were also great guides and they were very accommodating and entertaining.
We had two tour guide. A younger gentleman and an older guy with us. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The cave was beautiful and the water was refreshing.
Fred and Peter were phenomenal!!! We laughed, felt safe and had the best time. Highly recommend hands down!
Jimmy and Chester were great guides and accommodating for our family of 9. Bring bug spray and sandals with straps (no flip flops or slides). We even saw a toucan as we were leaving the caves. The trip consists of about an hour taxi ride, one mile hike to caves, 45 minutes tubing (think lazy river style), short hike back, lunch, hour taxi back to port.
This adventure was great from start to finish. The staff was super friendly and the caves were amazing.
The cave tubing was amazing. Such a beautiful sight. Was a little worried we wouldn't make it back to the ship on time but we did.
